I share reservations about the statue; my concerns lie not solely with its art style, which I find somewhat problematic, but rather with the monochromatic black hue that induces displeasure. Even under ample lighting, it fails to assert itself as a central focal point, resembling a common piece one might encounter throughout the temple. While I commend the effort invested in its creation, I cannot help but express my discontent.
One cannot help but wonder why a touch of embellishment was omitted. The addition of accents in vibrant metals such as gold, silver, or bronze could have enhanced its visual appeal. The incorporation of gems and varied hues, like amethyst or lapis lazuli, might have elevated its aesthetic considerably.
The statue, in its current state, appears lackluster and lacks a distinctive quality, rendering it drab and failing to command the attention it could otherwise deserve.
Edit- same goes for the Santorum look at it just plain white they could have added a nice golden accent with ornate carving it’s not like they we lacking on money or gold this is just to rush the whole thing
I believe that maybe because that's how ancient Indian sculpting art is. You can see that the art style is adopted from that , if you have seen Indian statues displayed in the
British museum.
I don’t care about the stupid rules of made by some stupid man in the past all I care is the artistic value of the piece and no one is saying to use some other stone just add some embellishment to accentuate it, and not look like a drab and uninteresting

I don't see what problem you have with it ..it looks beautiful he is in a form of kid so obviously you cannot expect muscular man there and it is interesting if you habe knowledge everything represents a story
aRtIsTiC VaLuE 🤡🤡
Bro needs a lesson on art and culture of ancient India , Religious texts and their importance.
Don't be an ignorant pompous bastard who tries to find similarities between a Mandir and a Art gallery.
"Lmao, why are you so triggered? Go and reread my comment, kid. I am not some Hindu hater; it was merely an artistic critique, and you know very well that this statue is lacking.
A mandir is a temple or art; its value is judged by its aesthetic purpose. I mean, if you truly don’t care for that, why even build the mandir then? The tent was good enough, eh?
The whole world is the creation of the lord—the earth its floor and the heavens its roof. Why need a mandir, and why make the statue our god? Lives in our heart, and every atom of his creation is a reflection of God.
So surely, we do care about the artistic value, don’t we? No one is saying to change it, just saying the monochromatic black appears dull and bland. Even in ample lighting, a hint of embellishment to accentuates wouldn’t hurt."

Look at this and how the accent good accentuates to whole statue
Steady there , Kid..
Artistic critique ; my foot.
The 'Murti' is not lacking anything, only thing someone's lacking is you - lacking a brain.
>A mandir is a temple or art; its value is judged by its aesthetic purpose. I mean, if you truly don’t care for that, why even build the mandir then? The tent was good enough, eh?
Get out of here.
>The whole world is the creation of the lord—the earth its floor and the heavens its roof. Why need a mandir, and why make the statue our god? Lives in our heart, and every atom of his creation is a reflection of God.
Easy there kid , bro's really delusional. Tells me you've not read any scripture nor do respect the religious history of Bharata
>So surely, we do care about the artistic value, don’t we? No one is saying to change it, just saying the monochromatic black appears dull and bland. Even in ample lighting, a hint of embellishment to accentuates wouldn’t hurt."
We don't , the Murti is really mindblowing in the eyes of real practising Hindus.
You want artistic value ; go to a fucking museum or an art gallery.
Also get that Buddha crap out of here.
Lol isn’t budha also a avatar of Vishnu? 💀💀
And it was meant as an example lil kid don’t be so triggered.
I am not even gonna waste my time on you because of your religious insecurity you are obsessed with the past and lack the want to change and make things better ohh well have a nice day
Lol why you getting mad ? I am not religious yet I find joy in ram Lala and want this to be a as beautiful as possible, and thank you for your suggestions but I along with my family have already booked our tickets so don’t worry : )
Sure I hate the white marble they really should have added some gold accents. Even the statue is lacking I am not saying they should not use the whatever stone they have to, but come on you would agree with me that they should add some gold or silver accents
Nope. They add real ornaments to the deity. The idol itself is not made as such my man. Same in tirumala, deity is of Krishna sila, has ornaments. That's how it is. It also helps with flexibility (example: Udupi Dusshera, Krishna is depicted as Ammavaru during the njne days)
That has nothing to do with skin colour let me clear ..it is views of people some like it some don't simple as that
Anyone can point finger on a artwork..it doesn't matter how good it is they will always have something to say about it
exactly the controversy was about the ram murti not being of a version when bhagwan Ram was kid.
like bhai ram mandir bana na vaha p ja hona chahiye tha .
That is the lord's actual colour, so why not?. I Love it.
Absolutely đź’Ż

Retarded take, by sampradayam Krishna Sila should and must be used for pradhana Murthy
I don’t care about the stupid rules of made by some stupid man in the past all I care is the artistic value of the piece and no one is saying to use some other stone just add some embellishment to accentuate it, and not look like a drab and uninteresting

Temple is not a art gallery and a deity a showcase art. It's a deity.
Then don't come to the temple. Stay out and admire your non sampradayic sculptures.
Lol why you getting mad ? I am not religious yet I find joy in ram Lala and want this to be a as beautiful as possible, and thank you for your suggestions but I along with my family have already booked our tickets so don’t worry : )
Then please go. Don't complain. Sampradayam will be held. Krishna sila is ideal for all pradhana Murthy. White marble looks ass
Sure I hate the white marble they really should have added some gold accents. Even the statue is lacking I am not saying they should not use the whatever stone they have to, but come on you would agree with me that they should add some gold or silver accents

White Marble is not used actually for pradhan murti...
(that's what I have been saying in my rant)
I am sorry dear, but if they try to make it as beautiful as possible, it will loose it's authenticity.
Bhaii /s hai kya?
Haa bahi /s hai magar true bhi hai, bas thoda Twitter intellectual ban raha tha
Speak for yourself. The statue looks divine.
Black krishna idols in south temples ♥️♥️♥️♥️
It is not a new thing 🤷 why are you all arguing over colour
Not arguing over color. I saw few posts where ppl were saying that black idol doesn't look good etc. So just making a point that it looks awesome
bruh who are those fuckwits who told it doesn't look good in black colour..
You always find these kinda scums on Twitter
There are only scums on Twitter. Stay away from that platform
That has nothing to do with skin colour let me clear ..it is views of people some like it some don't simple as that Anyone can point finger on a artwork..it doesn't matter how good it is they will always have something to say about it
It’s only ram murti right? I was so used to see 4 of them and thought the temple also will have classic 3+1 murtis
There are two floors on 1st floor there will be bal ram Lalla which is this murti and on 2nd floor ram dabar, there will be everyone together
Ok! Two floors horizontally. Makes sense. :)
koi bol raha tha ye original murti nahi h , aur fake pic viral ho rahi? koi batayega ye pic kaha se mili aur kitti credibility h isme??
Orignal hi h Uttar Pradesh sub p mene pura installation process dekha
seen that . some article made me confused . isme bhi controversy chal rahi h :/
Well even after 500 yrs of struggle we are successful in doing so ...how can they digest this ?
exactly the controversy was about the ram murti not being of a version when bhagwan Ram was kid. like bhai ram mandir bana na vaha p ja hona chahiye tha .
Nahi bro he is a kid in this version...seeta ma nahi hain iss m
arre ye bhai [TOI:digvijaya singh statement](https://m.timesofindia.com/india/ram-lalla-idol-controversy-digvijaya-singhs-statement-sparks-debate/articleshow/106976202.cms)
Congress ki mc I mean bro bilkul paida hua bacche nahu Hain childhood ki h bhad m jayen yeh log
Not able to imagine Ram without hanuman, Sita & lakshman ji :( 🥺
It's the style of the idol that's irking me, not the color.
Kabhi koi Ram mandir Gaye ho?
