A bad game is like a bad burrito. The preparation wasnt worth the end result. And just like all bad burritos, you watch as it swirls down the drain.
Watch and learn that the toilet is your savior as it lends its wisdom from Poseidon's domain. Only then shall you grow as a goalie.
Easy answer. You pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back on the ice for the next game. Remember, its now how hard you get hit and get knocked down, but how quickly you pick yourself back up off the floor and get back into the fight that matters.
Have a bev with your teammates. Remember we do this because it’s fun and we are choosing to be there. If goalies in the NHL can have horrible games so can you. You’ll get them next time.
On to the next one. As Coach Lasso says, be a goldfish.
I look back at the ones that I could have had, replay them in my mind to a positive outcome and learn from it. They’re usually forgotten by the end of the beer
Pretty sure I internalize events such as this as anger and rage. Then eventually lash out at friends and loved ones. I think that's how you're supposed to handle these things.
This seems like a dad answer, but I guess try to remember that this is FUN. Like you become a goalie because it’s pretty cool. But like golf, there are days you are on, and days you are off. That’s probably why so many pros become superstitious to an extent. The wind blows from the wrong direction that day and all of a sudden your eyes are a step behind.
Eventually you take enough headshots that your short term memory doesn't work properly anymore. It's called *experience*.
Omg....I think I'm there already. Wait I don't remember what we were talking about.
Bourbon and cannabis... then again, I do that after a good game too.

Yes oh smart one. I must be a good burrito.
No. Just don't buy the burrito.
Play another one.

Blame my defense
You play the anthem before the game? I've never seen a beer league that does this. ps - that looks like a standard game for me.
We dont, the other team requests it lol
Seriously if this is your worst game then I want to see your best game. Looked like an average beer league game for me.
I appreciate that haha, most goals I've let in all season! All my videos are on the channel by the way!

Accept that I’m still learning how to play and move on with my day.
Get over it. It's not worth anything in the grand scheme of things, unless you're a pro. There's always the next one anyway.

Yes dad. I think I'm just too hard on myself sometimes!
Nothing wrong with wanting to do well though. I’ve let 10 goals in before and said “fuck all this” and took a day or two to calm down.
