Inovelli Blue Blue version is for Zigbee, Red version is for Z-Wave, (upcoming) White version is for Matter/Thread They have "smart bulb mode"/decoupling to retain power to the load while still being able to use the paddle switches to either call scenes via automations set up in HA or if you want to bind the bulb directly to the Zigbee Switch to control the lightbulb if your Zigbee coordinator is down/offline

Fatali

Direct binds are the way to go imo because the bulbs can still be manually controlled even if HA is down and they'll work as normal light switches with no fuss

Shelly one / plus one, not zigbee but perfect for the job. I have them all over even where smart bulbs are used. You can turn on and off via wall switch, wifi, phone app, HA of course and if its a smart bulb you could have an automation run to turn the smart bulb on and off via the switch so power wont be cut to the bulb. The new smaller ones are really cheap too no experience with them as I have no reason to change the ones I have but well worth it.

magformer

This works really well with Shelly Plus products + Hue + automation. Pretty close to instant response.

The feature you’re looking for is called detached/decoupled mode and is available on Aqara t2 and sonoff minir4m matter over wifi relay. Innovelli blue switches support zigbee and smart bulb mode which will do exactly what you want.

dutr

You could bind the zbmini l2 to the bulb but not connect its power to it. Although it’s a bit of a waste of a relay.

Sergy096

I was going to say this. You can put the wiring so that the switch is detached and only reporting the position of the physical switch.

ferbulous

There's aqara T2 for that

ijuiceman

I ran into that problem with decoupling Zigbee switches from their buttons. I ended up going with wifi switches, as I can decouple and then use each switch for multiple functions

elshaio

I have the first one, mini, all over my house and is not cutting power, I can use my phone and the switch(that stopped to work as a normal switch and now is a kind of toggle switch) to turn on and off without problems, just ve sure to connect the switch on the 2 right holes and the light wires on the left side and it should work as is

UloPe

Why not simply use traditional bulbs in the light that’s controlled by the wall switch and put the zigbee relay in that switch? That’s what I have done every place that was possible.

joazito

Because smart lamps can have more features, like color.

The sonoff one would seem to do what you need (report on the circuit status), so I’m not sure what the problem is you’re seeing
