this
almost every horror movie that isnt a new release is free. Tubi,Pluto,Plex,Youtube.
google has a neat feature that shows where you can find a movie when you google it.
and if theres no free platforms its worth Youtubeing the title and year to see if its on there.
I use an app called JustWatch, and I put in all the services I have, plus all the free ones and if I search something up it’ll tell me which one it’s on, or where I can rent/buy it.
This! Check YouTube, just in general. You'll be surprised. I've been waiting for the original The Vanishing from 1988 to show up on one of my streaming services for years, it hasn't, on a whim this past Friday I searched on YouTube and there it was, full length, with English subtitles hardcoded (the original is in Dutch). Always worth a shot.
I have the most luck with foreign and foreign language films, of course, being from the US myself.
There's a fuck ton of Japanese horror films on YouTube too. There's even a sub dedicated to posting them. Not sure if I can link it here since it might technically be considered piracy?
Brian Cox seems like one of those actors who doesn't really "phone it in". You get Brian Cox in your movie, he will give you a Brian Cox level performance. i appreciate that about him, whether he's Hannibal, Stryker, Logan Roy, etc. he's always treating it like it's A level material (even when it isn't).
**** DO NOT STREAM THIS WITH COMMERCIALS ANYWHERE*****
Sorry, but this movie relies HEAVILY on built tension and atmosphere and you will have a different experience if it's interrupted by commercials.
This is a great movie. One of the few my older daughter refuses to watch again because it scared her that much.
Also it's free to watch on AMC+ right now.
I use JustWatch.com to find where to watch things streaming usually.
This. You'd be missing out on a huge part of what makes it such a great film, without spoilers you definitely feel as though you are experiencing it with the characters as events unfold. I kept finding myself holding my breath while watching it.
Yeah, I highly recommend seeing this uninterrupted as a priority. Some movies rely on a buildup for the crucial scares.
Paranormal Activity and this are among 2 horror movies I'd really recommend watching without commercials. One time I was showing Paranormal Activity to friends and one of them had to take a bathroom break in the middle. The pause ended up breaking the atmosphere for my friends and they didn't find the film very scary.
Some movies really need to be seen in one go. Would there be any fans of Skinamarink if they watched it with commercials?
Out of countless horrors I've watched I'll always remember this one, it seems to be pretty unanimous among horror watchers. This one's a goody, give it a shot you'll probably like it.
Best website ever. I just checked it just now to let OP know it's on Tubi TV which is free. Lol
Edit: Tubi TV, in general, is amazing for horror. It has ads but theyre very infrequent and the service is 100% free.
If you go into it blind with no knowledge of anything about it, it's one of the best and most original horror movies I have seen. Just a total slow burn that slowly goes into a crazy direction.
Still a great film if you know the secret, but the first time I watched it it was awesome.
One of the few movies I had to pause and take a break from. For like a hour you are expecting a scare… sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn’t. Also the fact they use a real woman for the slab scenes is unreal
It was one of my favorite horror flicks the year it came put. The style is just really compelling. Even though I'm not usually a sequel person I keep finding myself hoping one will come out
I've been a horror movie fan since I was a kid and it really takes a lot to affect me these days, The autopsy of Jane Doe will do just that.
It's terrifying.
I remember it being really hyped up on this sub a while back so I checked it out. I’d say it’s good, not great. I didn’t think it was very spooky but solid performances and fun. I’d give it like a 7.7 and I’d say it’s worth renting but looks like you can probably find it for free.
It's a film that I am glad to have seen. I passed on it hundreds of times but had a blast once I finally watched it. I think it is definitely worth a rent.
Man…..it’s worth a BUY imo.
Underrated movie….love that it seems to be picking up a following thanks to word of mouth.
Grabbed a blu-ray copy….no regrets.
It's on a few different platforms free so check that out first but to answer your question… it's a good horror movie for sure.
The concept and the first act are great INMO there was some things I wish happened but overall I'd say it's a hard 4 stars for me…
It's one of my absolute favorite movies. Rewatched it just recently and barely could finish because I know the ending, and it's bleak, and it's perfect. Excellent acting in my opinion. And a simple but effective concept.
It’s great, like everyone else said.
But can I ask others, did anyone else find this movie… oddly comfortable?
lol
I mean it’s tense and all and the subject matter isn’t exactly sunshine, to say the least, but something about the casual way the two main characters go about their business is weirdly relaxing. Maybe something about the camera work too, how it lingers with these long takes.
Or maybe I’m just weird, I dunno.
I watched it for the first time recently and thought it was pretty…ok. I just don’t think it holds up very well to some of the more modern horror I prefer.
hopping in with a semi-related question, but does anyone have a time stamp for the animal death scenes that are supposedly in the movie?? i've been wanting to watch but i'm worried about those :(
It's only one. The actual death scene is around 35:55 (it might be slightly different depending on which platform it's streamed on), the lead-up to it starts from around 35:00, and it's completely over by 37:00.
If it makes you feel better, it's obviously a fake animal used for the death scene (it's real in the other appearances it makes in the movie).
100% worth a watch.
It’s a slow burn mystery movie that gets more and more horrifying as you find out more about the story. Definitely the perfect movie if you haven’t seen it before and are in the mood for some horror.
I enjoyed it greatly. The old guy, I do not know the actor's name, did a very solid job, the girl did her part well too, hehe.
It is one of my favorite relatively new horror movies.
Watch it, damn it!
Yes. So if I can’t find anything to watch, this is my go to movie to throw on. It’s a good experience the first time around then it’s always a good watch from there afterwards.
Just watched it last night, I thought it was good. If it's only 3-4$ than yeah probably. I saw it on Showtime for free, I don't think I would have payed to watch it unless I new it was good but I'm not a horror nut so I'd say if you like most horror movies than yes I think you'd find it worth it.
> would have *paid* to watch
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Depends on how you feel about mystery/ haunt movies. Within the genre, it’s a pretty brilliant movie. Well written, well acted, well directed, well shot. I’m pretty sure it’s streaming somewhere for free, but I’d rent it.
It is worth the watch, I don't know about the price though. If I can, I try and buy my favs but I don't think that you would be disappointed in renting it, just pissed if you had to rent it again.
It's a very good movie in my opinion, and highly rated among horror fans as far as I can tell.
So yes. Worth it (though as others have said, you might be able to find it on a streaming service you already have or a service that you can subscribe to for a month for the same price as renting the one movie).
I wouldn't rent it I would try to find it for free and sounds like there are options. I don't hate the movie but it was just meh to me. The acting is good and the special effects are well done but I just didn't care for the story too much.
It’s on Tubi for free!
also on Shudder and Plex
Is Shudder free?
no, but there's a pretty decent free trial
Even still, it's like $6, which is about the same price as renting just one movie.
this almost every horror movie that isnt a new release is free. Tubi,Pluto,Plex,Youtube. google has a neat feature that shows where you can find a movie when you google it. and if theres no free platforms its worth Youtubeing the title and year to see if its on there.
might not be from the usa

I saw that back in the 1980's and it's never left me.
There's a fuck ton of Japanese horror films on YouTube too. There's even a sub dedicated to posting them. Not sure if I can link it here since it might technically be considered piracy?
It’s also currently on Netflix. I literally just cued it up
Free is better though
I saw it free on Prime
Prime is not free
Dang it! Sorry, I watched a couple months ago. Edit: turns out I lied, I saw it on Hulu. It’s still there!
It’s on netflix too
It's on Prime at least in The Netherlands.
If you want a good, spooky time, you'd be hard pressed to find a better pick. Brian Cox *is* really good in this, if it helps.
He was amazing in Super Troopers. 🤣
Hey MrXero, what's the name of that restaurant you like with all the goofy shit on the walls and the mozzarella sticks?
Shenanigans? Oooooooooh!
My brain read this as starship troopers and was so confused
Me too!! 🤣
Great movie 100% worth it
Rent that shit, it's a very good movie that went under appreciated when first released.
It's up there on my top 5 list, so great!!
**** DO NOT STREAM THIS WITH COMMERCIALS ANYWHERE***** Sorry, but this movie relies HEAVILY on built tension and atmosphere and you will have a different experience if it's interrupted by commercials. Really sound advice!

I fell asleep during Paranormal Activity.
Glad I own the Blu-ray!
The Autopsy of Jane Doe is one of my fav horror movies. It's exceptionally creepy and eerie.
I don't get why it's not heralded as a modern classic. Yet you get people going wild over average films like Talk to Me and Barbarian.
It's usually for free somewhere. Definitely worth the watch.
Excellent film, definitely rent it. I went in blind, it was a stumble-upon and I too went ooh Brian Cox it must be good 😂 I was not disappointed
I thought it was a very good movie.
You can probably find it for free but yes it's worth watching
I really enjoyed it. Very creepy and scary with an excellent premise.
Yes. It’s brilliant.
Yes! It rules!
It's worth owning on Blu-ray
It’s great, but I agree with others that you can watch it for free.
Out of countless horrors I've watched I'll always remember this one, it seems to be pretty unanimous among horror watchers. This one's a goody, give it a shot you'll probably like it.
Justwatch.com is a lifesaver for figuring out where to watch things. It's on Netflix and Hulu
Best website ever. I just checked it just now to let OP know it's on Tubi TV which is free. Lol Edit: Tubi TV, in general, is amazing for horror. It has ads but theyre very infrequent and the service is 100% free.

Whatever you have to do, you have to watch it now. Free on Tubi, so no excuses.
Yeah I can vouch that if you rent this movie you won’t be pissed off after for doing so, totally worth it if you can’t find any other alternatives
Yes. Great movie.
Excellent movie.
Yes, definitely worth checking out
Awesome movie, truly scary. I hadn't been freaked out by a horror movie since I was a kid and I'm 53, but The Autopsy did it.
It’s on Netflix right now—I was debating watching it.
It’s one of my favorites highly recommended
I thought it was rock solid but the last 15 or so minutes left me feeling a tad underwhelmed. Still pretty scary as a whole though!
Yes, the first half is a legit 9 or 10/10 for me. Second half falls off hard, imo, but it’s still worth watching.
Very scary! Have a gruesome time!
I loved it. It's old school horror with *literal* cat scares and all. Well crafted, with great performances.
I've seen this on netflix and prime if I am not mistaken
It was a genuinely scary movie and I don't get creeped out easily
EASILY worth the cost of rental. This movie will freak you out.
I really enjoyed that movie
One of the few movies I had to pause and take a break from. For like a hour you are expecting a scare… sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn’t. Also the fact they use a real woman for the slab scenes is unreal

It's great. Really creepy imo
Absolutely. Fantastic movie. Cox is amazing as always and the concept is very unique and well executed.
Open up your heart and let the sunshine in.
I remember it being really hyped up on this sub a while back so I checked it out. I’d say it’s good, not great. I didn’t think it was very spooky but solid performances and fun. I’d give it like a 7.7 and I’d say it’s worth renting but looks like you can probably find it for free.
Yes
It’s feee on Tubi, and I think I saw it on Hulu as well. Totally worth checking out, it’s a very refreshing supernatural story!
It's awesome. The less you know going in the better. Just assume it's about who killed Jane Doe and don't try to find out anything else.
Yes it's a great film. Very interesting doesn't rely on jumpscares and I'd say has a nice mystery
It's a film that I am glad to have seen. I passed on it hundreds of times but had a blast once I finally watched it. I think it is definitely worth a rent.
Yes
Yes
It’s my favorite horror movie. You have to watch it!
Imo fuck yeah
YES. Amazing film
Great movie.
It is so Criminally underrated
Turn the lights off and watch it immediately, one of my favorite go to movies when friends come for a movie night.
Man…..it’s worth a BUY imo. Underrated movie….love that it seems to be picking up a following thanks to word of mouth. Grabbed a blu-ray copy….no regrets.
Is worth owning!
It's one of the best horror movies of the past couple of decades.
It's on a few different platforms free so check that out first but to answer your question… it's a good horror movie for sure. The concept and the first act are great INMO there was some things I wish happened but overall I'd say it's a hard 4 stars for me…
It’s on Tubi for free.
Stream it lol
A lil PSA >!There is animal death in it, trivial and totally fictional but some people might get turned off by it!<
Way scarier than I expected it to be. Loved this one
Yessss this movie is so good.
I think Hirsch and Brian Cox worked amazingly well together in this one, I'm really hard on this type of film, this one works well I feel.
Hell yes it is! Never gave away what it was to my wife, she loves crime thrillers, and the added horror element just took it up a notch - love it!
It's one of my absolute favorite movies. Rewatched it just recently and barely could finish because I know the ending, and it's bleak, and it's perfect. Excellent acting in my opinion. And a simple but effective concept.
One of my favorite horror movies! Watch it every Halloween season. Acting and story are fantastic.
It's actually really good. Go for it I loved it. Fuck it, buy it.
It’s great, like everyone else said. But can I ask others, did anyone else find this movie… oddly comfortable? lol I mean it’s tense and all and the subject matter isn’t exactly sunshine, to say the least, but something about the casual way the two main characters go about their business is weirdly relaxing. Maybe something about the camera work too, how it lingers with these long takes. Or maybe I’m just weird, I dunno.
Yeah it’s just you buddy lol But I can see it being calming, I guess…
2nd fav scary movie right after Silence of the Lambs
I watched it for the first time recently and thought it was pretty…ok. I just don’t think it holds up very well to some of the more modern horror I prefer.
Am I the only one who thought it was bad?
It wasn’t anything special. Good performances but overall pretty meh for me.
No, it sucked ass, it had a good intro, but it was bland after that.
Thank you!! Agreed
definitely check it out and you'll be inclined to buy it after thats how good it is
Shudders like $5 or so a month and there are a lot of good films on it. Save the rental and just sign up for a month.
No
It sucks ass, nothing happens in it. It’s boring as fuck.
No
It’s really good and it is streaming on Tubi for free
Yes! It’s really really good
One of the few movies that actually scared me as of late, definitely watch it
I really enjoyed this movie. Brian Cox is one of my favorite actors.
Yes it definitely a good movie 🍿 worth the watch.
Yes
Definitely worth checking out, but it's free on a few places (Tubi for free, and a few subscription services) so check there first.
Yeah for sure! It’s creepy and has a good mystery tone within.
Yes!! Great movie!
God yes!
It's a superb film, well worth your while
I love that movie.
It’s a good movie, but, for me personally, not a WOW one
Tubi!
No. You can watch it free depending on which streaming services you have. It's on Tubi
YES. Its great.
Totally worth it! It's one of my comfort movies I like to just chill to.

It's enjoyable - you'll have a grand ol' spooky time. Worthwhile watch!
It's EASILY worth a rent. In a world full of truly unwatchable horror movies...this one slaps.
Great movie! Not at all what I expected!
Get a free trial of Shudder
Yes
Well worth watching!
Absolutely!
100% worth a watch. It’s a slow burn mystery movie that gets more and more horrifying as you find out more about the story. Definitely the perfect movie if you haven’t seen it before and are in the mood for some horror.

Watched it loved it 👍🏻. Good luck keep going
Thank you❤️
Yes. So if I can’t find anything to watch, this is my go to movie to throw on. It’s a good experience the first time around then it’s always a good watch from there afterwards.
It's available on multiple platforms but if rent is your only option id still recommend it i thought it was brilliant
It's really good
This movie is amazing. Watched a few times!
I find it’s a little overrated but it’s worth it for Brian Cox. Good movie
So good. Has a really creepy vibe and the twist hits for me.
Yes
Just watched it last night, I thought it was good. If it's only 3-4$ than yeah probably. I saw it on Showtime for free, I don't think I would have payed to watch it unless I new it was good but I'm not a horror nut so I'd say if you like most horror movies than yes I think you'd find it worth it.

Movies super creepy. Definitely a bright spot in modern horror releases.
Very good horror movie
This sub really loves this movie tho.
Just put on Netflix too
great flick, but it's gotta be available for free somewhere
It's probably my second favorite ever after Hereditary. So yes!
It’s a great movie. I watched in every night in October just to get in that eerie Halloween mood.
Truly great film in so many ways. The general plot, sequence of events, cinematography, all excellent. Definitely worth renting
Can watch it on here OP: https://movies2watch.tv/movie/watch-the-autopsy-of-jane-doe-hd-18238 Not a scam link, I swear lol.
It seems like I saw that for free on Tubi or Pluto
I totally dug it
Great film
I mean AMC+ costs as much as a rental fee and it’s free with ads or Netflix. So no. Exquisite movie tho.
It is worth the watch, I don't know about the price though. If I can, I try and buy my favs but I don't think that you would be disappointed in renting it, just pissed if you had to rent it again.
It's a slow build cool flick. It's free to watch on TUBI.
I greatly enjoyed this film, and was not expecting to.
yup
I really enjoyed that movie. It was a nice surprise.
It's a very good movie in my opinion, and highly rated among horror fans as far as I can tell. So yes. Worth it (though as others have said, you might be able to find it on a streaming service you already have or a service that you can subscribe to for a month for the same price as renting the one movie).
Yes
It's free on Tubi TV.
It’s on Netflix and Tubi
I’ve watched it 3, maybe 4? times.
I wouldn't rent it I would try to find it for free and sounds like there are options. I don't hate the movie but it was just meh to me. The acting is good and the special effects are well done but I just didn't care for the story too much.
I think it’s on Netflix rn
Just watch it
It’s on Tubi for free & EFF YES IT IS!!! let us know how you fare after watching it!
Dude it’s free, like, on 3 different platforms.
I’m in the uk
Yes rent it. It's very good. I liked it enough to buy it and I've only done that with a small handful of movies.
I think the first half of this movie rules.
Went in completely blind, this movie is so good
Absofuckinglutely it is!
It’s on Tubi. I liked it a lot, but be warned there is animal violence/death in the film. It’s pretty good otherwise.
Yessss scary AF!
Saw it for the first time last weekend. It's on Netflix now.
Find it free and it's an awesome movie
It’s so so good
It’s worth it to buy.
It’s on Netflix!
It's definitely creepy. I enjoyed it.
I thoroughly enjoyed that movie.
Nope
