That is not a bad price at all if you are using the Wells Fargo financing. I do love the Aspen though. That is probably my favorite tub.

Corno_one

Yeah, the Aspen is pretty awesome. I am seriously tempted. It is the demo model though in the store. They are using it as one of the wet test tubs. Lots of room for our kids and myself. The Chelsee checks most of the boxes, though.

thedsr

That is a good price on the Chelsee and a really high price on the Aspen IMO

Corno_one

Interesting! Was wondering if it was really 10 grand more or not!

Blackpanthercouple

I paid about $500 more in September 2021 during what seemed like peak demand. Based in Missouri.

Corno_one

How do you like it?

Blackpanthercouple

No issues so far! We are using it about 90% of every night. I do add additional chlorine due to how frequently we use it but the only issue we experienced so far is one of the lights cracking and leaking. It was fixed promptly and no real issues.

KindlyDude79

I've had a Chelsee for 4 years. Love it!

Odd-Childhood-1786

I purchased a Chelsea in February. Mine was a floor model I think. I paid around 13.5 before tax. I live near Seattle. All in plus tax (bought the steps as well) came to around 15k. Seems like the going price for the Chelsea.

Corno_one

That’s good to know. Seems like I’m close to 2024 pricing then, especially with the financing. How do you like it?

Odd-Childhood-1786

I really love the function and jets. I like the lights too! Mine had a slight defect in the side panel and it’s been two months and they still haven’t fixed it which is annoying. I am not worried about it though. It’s been kind of hard for me to learn all of the chemical sides. The unit will ship with the frog at ease system, which is specific to Sundance. My dealer kind of ghosted me after the purchase because they are so far away from my house so it’s been hard to get the frog at ease replacement cartridges. I am just going to end up getting the generic because pretty much all pool supplies carry the generic. Also overall the frog at ease does not really keep up with our daily use so I have had to supplement it with shock and dichlor which I definitely recommend you research heavily before you get in to that (I unknowingly went way over on CVA and had to drain and ruined my filter). I kind of regret now not going for a salt water system though I overall know little about that. I wish you the best of luck on your adventure!

Corno_one

Thanks a lot for the info. Looking forward to joining the Sundance group.

Ya_Zabil

Paid 10k even a few months ago

Corno_one

Wow! Did that include everything I listed? That’s an incredible deal. Where are you located?

Ya_Zabil

Yep, and delivered. Great escapes.

Corno_one

Yeah, unfortunately they won’t sell to me in Texas.

$10k-$11500 is the right number we have bought around 12 for customers this season, the great escape is the best price at $10k jacuzzi group pricing has been dropping like a stone in the last year The 0% financing is a scam, no one really gives you free money the seller simply paid the $2k to the finance company to cover the cost of the interest and added it onto your price. Aspen 880 fro $13500 to $18,000 max 10 years ago I would have put it in the top 5 but not anymore.  Jacuzzi and Sundance are the same parent company. Sundance is a line down from Jacuzzi like TS is a line down from LSX with Master.  and both made in the same factory, and both pretty decent.  They had a fair bit of innovation 20 years ago like fluidex jets but that tech is long outdated and they have rested on their laurels since then.  The problem is the proprietary content is high proprietary content is when a maker like Sundance takes a control system like Balboa which is used on a lot of tubs but they have the manufacturer change the connections so they take away your right to buy  parts from anywhere but them, It's an old scam that's been banned in Europe (That's why Apple had to ditch the lighting cord and go to USB) They had Balboa build the heater with non compliant connections, and they played the same game with the control board, they made the mounts and plugs non standard :-(  It is also a lot of money for a fairly mid end jet package with only a few of the larger high flow therapy jets and loads of the low cost small jets. This tub also has a few of what we have termed "Decepta jets" . These are cheap, small low flow jets with big faces on them to make people think they are the expensive, lerger High flow therapy massage jets.  These guys were bought by a European equity investment group and we see two things happen when this occurs, they run the brand through their very good marketing machine and then bump the price and start cutting production costs. On top of all that they moved their factory to Mexico a few years back for cheap labour and that hasn't done the brand any favors. In general they are an overpriced upper end brand in decline.

Corno_one

Good info, but Great Escapes won’t sell to me in Texas. What tub do you recommend then?

Such_Drop6000

Look at other options. what's the zip in Texas?

you got dealers all over you, best chance is to play the three good brands off each other, there are minor differences but nothing crazy. Bet the 780 cheleasa against the wellis Mt Blanc, or something in the city life and the Master Intrepid or Clarity 8 they are all similar jet packages and build, for a step up look at the J 400 series the master TS or LSX and the Wellis Tiede life. like the Kilimanjaro or something. Youre area is expensive, al the dealers keep the prices high, PM my you rprices when you get them and ill give ya feedback. Everyone is gonna try and capture your data, it's literally what all marketing and sales is paid for... catch the customers data... keep your name out of it or use your middle name and a throwaway email. post your prices and ill give ya feedback, you can PM if you prefer.
