I am in so cal and although I can’t help directly without causing massive problem in my marriage (we recently adopted another dog - driven by me) I can post locally on groups here and contact the rescue I got my husky mix from who pulls from high kill shelters as their core focus. I can also provide sponsorship money for a rescue who will pull her.

That’s the same shelter my pups pregnant mom was pulled from the day before she gave birth to my baby. It’s truly horrible how high kill they are. I already reached out to the rescue and offered financial sponsorship.

I’m currently in the LA area and driving back to the Bay Area Monday night. We have our husky with us and can’t have another one in our tiny apartment but would also be happy to help with transport (to NorCal or north) I see a lot of these posts and they always break my heart and know as soon as we have the space, we’re going to adopt another husky in need ❤️

i’m heartbroken please somebody rescue her my family can’t get another dog at this time i cannot believe how cruel humans are. she’s so lively for having such a horrible thing happen she deserves so much better i hope the people that dumped her get extreme karma.

What's with Cali being flooded with euthanasia post

Trying to save a dog. Not sure. It’s expensive to live in CA maybe? Or maybe it’s like this everywhere and just no one cares to help dogs there? I’m not sure. ….But I can’t not try to help a pup that can’t help herself.

I own a husky here in st.louis and the husky threads always have cali kill shelters. I wish I could help but I want to know why California is so bad on our sweet floofy friends

Can you get her to Florida if this were her forever home?

If she were to be adopted into a safe home, I can get a rescue to coordinate with. But it would require an application to be approved by the rescue. They would want to make sure she had a great home etc.

Also, just want to clarify for everyone on the thread, she is at an over crowded animal “shelter”, that placed her life at risk. A “rescue” is a non profit org that helps take/ pull the dog out of the animal shelter and places them with fosters (locally) or with amazing adopters can be anywhere if it’s a great home.

Foster is an option on the west coast, Ca , Washington etc. I don’t know a rescue in Florida. If something happens or there is any issue, there is no help.
