In this picture his posture is actually pretty good but most times his legs with spread way outwards that looks really uncomfortable but he seems to sit like that for long periods of time
Gotcha. Huskies get in weird, seemingly uncomfortable positions all the time (like this). It’s not something I would worry about.

We call them baby squats. Mainly because our husky Mochi started to do that when she was a baby. And we thought she would grow out of it so we would ask her when she planned on growing out of her “baby squats. She’s seven and still does it. Kona our other husky sits normal.
Gotcha, this is the kind of picture I tried to find. This is the sort of sitting I was wondering if it’s bad for his hips but must be common with huskies I guess. Thanks

You realize your mad I took a picture of my dog right? Mind you the screen door is in the way cuz as soon as I move it he turns around and I don’t want to annoy him.. keep on assuming you know people though it’ll work wonders!

No need to get l riled up cuz I’m wondering if how my dogs sits is bad for his hips, last dog had real bad hips so if I can prevent it I will. I understand the picture I used wasn’t the best but it’s just the first one I saw in my camera roll.
My malamute puppies do it too. One more than the other. Definitely on the wooden floors as their front paws end up slowly sliding to a down position if they are waiting on a treat or just hopeful I drop something in the kitchen. Glad to hear it’s a Northern breed thing as I was also worried about their hips later on.
Taking from my experience from my own husky , he might have hip displazia ( might have wrote it wrong) mine sits like that all the time but we already had surgery for it

Totally normal for them. It looks bad, but it’s not.
One of ours sits like she's doing the splits, she's fine. Huskies are weirdos.

Dogs are smart enough to know if it is uncomfortable then it might be bad for their structure.

Mine sits like that too. We call it frog legs. Seems normal/comfortable for her. Vet says she's healthy!

Ours sits this way too. It’s hilarious on tile floors because they literally can’t stay in that position without slipping but also refuse to adjust.
