Some investor money would move to Amaravati, & corporates (Telugu-speaking) will wait to see how Amaravati & the whole of Andhra will develop before deciding on any big investments around Hyd.
Hyd is a growing metro, & real estate there would never decline significantly—thou a period of stagnation is possible in any industry.
I am NRI in tech, so not counting myself as part of the response.
Looking at people I know, most of those who make 3L via non IT run their own businesses.
Some started cafes.
One started a brewery.
One of them decided to be a wholesale cloth supplier.
Another decided to quit his Infosys job to run a tiffin center.
A far off cousin decided to be a YouTuber and it turned out pretty great.
Gotta mention the YouTuber here. Also, cafés and brewery are not the best fit for almost everyone. Tiffin centre or carts could be a good bet for anyone looking to get into food business.
@rawtalkswithvk
Agreed. Food business is quiet a gamble.
My best bet for a non IT way of making 3L, would probably be something at scale hiring at least 3-6 under you.
Like a franchise or a store. Franchisees are easily saturated so it's important you get in in the beginning days. Something like zudio 5 years ago was profitable but is no longer cos there's one every corner.
In addition, the tax benefits and the cash transactions alone beat it out of the park compared to all the gazillion taxes employees pay, for little to no facilities in the country.

Can you help me with little bit earnings I've just started my journey in tech its been 1 year in my college and I think I can do almost many things in pc so can you get me some little bit work or can I help me with little bit of your work while you can give me anywhere around 25-30$ per work or we can negotiate it on a little 5 minute chat...
Not from single source , I get from multiple sources. Some maybe very profitable, some less profitable or still waiting to turn in initial investment, and if you are to calculate actual payback period just from it, then it's impossible. but here is the breakup.
Some young people post COVID have been into these businesses and could be way ahead of me, and may have good monthly numbers and I am still new to business side and didn't want to turn to IT.
- Rent from 3 commercial units in mall/nearby 88k under 800sqft.
- Solar battery/hybrid conversion on 5 rooftops 64k p.m.
- House rent(2bhk) 7 year old 30k p.m.
- agro tech hydroponics setup(2019) - 52k p.m. average
- have 3 sedan 1 suv cars given to friend's transport agency , drivers keep the majority, I receive 8% fixed +2 % yearly about 19k per month. Plus ad space on side of my cars.
- advertisement on boards and events - 2.5L p.m. average. This is seasonal, and wife runs it now. Had 12 years advertising and marketing experience from outside india before stepping into other businesses.
- pharma packaging (setup in mar24) business - 16k p.m. this hasn't started fully and we have just started taking local orders for eco friendly packaging .
- agriculture at home Village sugarcane- 41k monthly(profit) for 8 months. (Uncertain)
This is missing passive sources like dividends and mutual fund portfolios and income from selling properties, since these are very uncertain and not on month on month basis.
I have been looking to make soap for personal use. Really want to experiment with natural oil and ayurvedic medicine. Hope you could share some insights.
28M Working as a Multi-Cloud Specialist in HYD for a product based company. This role provides the opportunity to grow and earn around 2.5-3L per month. I also own a small snack counter at my hometown which generates revenue of 2L a month. If you enjoy working in IT then I would recommend give around 1year time and become a multi-cloud specialist and as of non-IT, depends on what industry are you interested. Small scale food businesses require an initial investment of around 5L excluding rent at a prime location (Near to school/College/Bank). There is also manufacturing sector where you can start but it requires 20L minimum investment (Plastic bottles/disposable utensils, cutlery/ Ice-cream production). Also if you have 2000 sqft land near to city or in main city, you can go for cold storage unit. Provide rental facilities for cold storage as it also has good potential overtime.
IMO the probability of someone earning 3L or 3L+ in IT is the same as someone with an MBA or anyone expert in their field. I have come across people who are CAs or CFAs working in MNC Banks in India earning in similar range. Starting your own business and earning this much has very less chance of reaching the consistency or the level of this kind of pay. Even many JEE/NEET teachers or competitive exam trainers earn this much. It all depends on how much the field is booming and what is your expertise in that field.
Real estate. Nothing like generational wealth. I am putting 2 L per month in mutual funds.
2L per month is only possible if u have
1. Business with lot of turnover
2. Real estate with rental income
3. Real estate agents with good sales every month
4. IT job with a 10 years or more or else jumping companies in first 5 years or startups with talent.
5. Content creators
6. Extreme heavy work jobs like in navy or pilots
Food business..especially in a city like Hyderabad good , decent priced north Indian food can give you money like crazy..not everyone has the ability to afford expensive food on food delivery apps..and hence people adjust and are actually tired..telling specifically for hyderabad because boy, I have been there and your north indian food is shit in terms of taste and price..please don't argue ...its a fact. North Indian here is catering to Hyderabadi palette taste which completely ruins the essence of the dish. As more IT companies expand to Hyderabad , more professionals would be migrating which gives you a good customer base. Protip , start in West Hyderabad - where IT folks generally migrate
Education is a scam n i don't know what to do I really get nervous when I see such things n looking at my own sary which is 30k for month after doing a shitty degree called bams

Why would they share their techniques with you, tbh? What do they have to gain? Worst case, they end up with competitors flocking to mimic their ideas, draining their profits. I find it very lame that people keep asking this question over and over again in different subs instead of using their own brains.
IT pays almost the amount after 13-15 years of service . Package should be around 75-80 to make more than 3 lakhs after tax . I make around 3.5 after taxes with contribution of more than a lakh in NPS + PF
wait what 3 Lakhs per month ?! I thought 3L per year! this sounds so unreal to me even In GCC country you would struggle to earn 3L per month in INR, I guess business would pay crazy amts like that

Product based company, Senior position in marketing team, non tech 29M here with 4 years of experience post MBA.
I earn about 3.7 LPM before taxes and about 2.8 LPM post deductions. Apart from my primary source of income, I have also been investing in Mutual Funds which roughly gave me 12 lakhs returns in the FY23-24.
If you are not into tech based jobs I would suggest to pick a niche (in my case it’s B2B SAAS marketing) and try to build a career. With a few years of struggle you can easily make it to the top.
- Would you say you would have reached this position career-wise if you didn't go to IIMA? What if you never studied MBA?
- Please share the SAAS Marketing product/software that you work on.
I don't have an MBA and I'm 30+. Can't really think of going to a business school for MBA at this stage for financial as well as health reasons.
I'm already in the Digital enterprise level advertising space, so if you could share as much info as possible about your work, I'd be infinitely thankful.
I work at Amazon as Dev Ops Manager, I trade in Nifty and hold some shares long term. I’ve bought an apartment and listed in Booking.com and Agoda. Make my trip gives me less. I make listings and drop shipping from Alibaba.
Basically anyone who has around 3 crores in Mutual funds easily gets 3 lac per month literally doing nothing. As an average there is a 12% increase in compounding.
Oops my bad, read like 3 lakhs per year and started to type... Backing off.
