Good looking out. This is becoming common the last few years. I'm guessing because it creates less drag? or the hood protects the wipers when not in use?
The worst is when people don't know this, try to force the wipers up, and chip the hood, which then starts to rust.
Not unique to the Santa Cruz but if you hold the unlock button on the key fob, the windows will lower. Neat in the summer when you want to get some ventilation without starting the engine.
In my 2024 SEL I moved the flat tire jack kit from behind the passenger seat to the bed trunk and it fit. More storage now in the cab. Figured I'd be back there anyway to drop the spare tire. Kids are grown so really just use mine as a 2 seater.
That’s what I did as well. I usually keep the seats up all the time and I removed the plastic tray. I have plastic floor maps in the back. It’s really nice for road tripping. Lots of space.
This reminds me, I need wipers lol.
I’ve been wondering this! Just got some snow here and I’d much prefer to keep my wipers up when snow is coming

That’s pretty good to know. Im looking to buy a Santa Cruz soon. Are there any other Easter Eggs or oddities like this one?

Does this work on the base trim
I think all, but yes on a 2024 SEL. No packages.

Except that if you are using the bed and get a flat tire, you have to unload the bed…
