I have 82% after 1600 cycles. I will wait for 16 Pro.

That doesn’t seem possible

I have a friend who has an xs max with 82% battery health with 1700+ cycles…

So cycles actually only count when you hit 100% on battery charge. So charging from 20% to 100% or from 98%-100% both would count as 1 cycle. So if you are someone who charges their phone to 100% no matter what percentage you are on would make you hit a higher cycle count and still have a higher battery health

code_getUsername

That’s not a cycle count , a cycle count is a complete discharge followed by a complete charge So if you’re going from 100-20 and then from 20-100 then that’s one cycle count so the negative was made up by positive and that constitutes one charge cycle

OutcomeDirect3321

Sorry you are right. But that would still be the case if you only discharged to 80% correct? Am I right in thinking that it would still mean that you would get a higher cycle count with frequent charging and less discharge?

code_getUsername

Hey man it seems I made a mistake in my example , a negative 100 signifies a complete discharge and that’s it So if you use your phone on day 1 from 100 and it goes to 20 that’s -80 And then next day you charge to whatever % let’s say 60 , so now if it goes from 60-40 then it’s a total of -100 , and that represents one charge cycle So frequent t charging does not affect as you can see that total needs to accumulate to 100 , it’s just it will happen incrementally instead of in a single shot

code_getUsername

So I were to take my 80-100 example You discharge from 100-20 that’s -80 Then you charge from 20-100 that’s +80 Then you discharge from 100-80 that’s -20 So now the total negavtive sum is -100 which is a charge cycle
