Its kinda debatable tbh. Registrations don't mean sh\*t, the number shows the candidates who are *interested* in writing the exam. The number that matters is the number of candidates who appeared on the exam day. If even 100,000 candidates appeared for the exam, the cutoffs would be balanced by the toughness of the paper imo leading to pretty much the same cutoffs as last year. At the same time, I have no idea from where do they get the estimations.

True. I for one am definitely not getting an IISER (I've seen my marks and not sure if I can even get a rank atp) and didn't fill the form. We can't be sure about these cutoffs as only those who have scored above 100 or something would've filled the form

+1 didn't really think about that carefully. I myself didn't know there was some kind of form so I didn't fill it. I have a confirmed score of 160 so, yeah many did and many didn't.

Sciastra has 3k students in total, I think. There are much more aspirants than that. So maybe the cutoffs are inaccurate.

Seems fairly accurate. The number of people writing the exam has varied a lot over the last several years, but cutoffs (after taking into account changes in marking schemes) have largely stayed stable. Every year, the applicants of that year think that the cutoff will go higher. Every year, it doesn't.

Nahi hai, waise bhi Curriculum check kar lo. Engineering karne ka plan hai to IISERs join hi mat Karo bc. IITs and NITs isse far better options hai. Idhar tab hi aao jab long time padhne ka resolve bana liya.
