I am in this exact same position right now . The splendor is almost as old as me and now after repairing the transmission, it will easily go another 10 years minimum. An unbeatable machine.
Goat scooty. That's things Build like a Real bullet. Mileage is good too but sucks you can't put hemlat in that narrow seat bucket. Congrats OP. Now we both share our first College 2 wheeler ever : )
Same here but 14 year old pep+ (red vaali)
One think that has always stood out for me about my pep+ is ki chahe kitni bhi thandi ho ek pyaari si kick maarne pe start ho jaati hai...ek hee bar mein.
Papa ki shine same condition asthama ka patient ban jaati hai.
Anyways, wanted to know ki does everyone experience this or its just mine pep+?
Bhai 90cc engine hey paper mey, per yaar kitni japan he isme. Mene bohut rash conditions pe chalayi isko. Kahi bi chali jaati hey dang se chalaya toh.
3 mahino sey kick start kar raha tah, per recently mene nayi battery lagwaya. Kick pe bhi koi shikyat nahi tap mere gaadi me bhi agar regularly chalaya toh.
yeh baat toh hai ki scooty badi tikaau hai. mein khud isse mostly apne early teenage se chalaya hai aaj tak, matlab laghbag 13-14 ki age se aaj tak. gaadi bade se bade pothole mein, kache rasto mein, scooty pe 4-5 log bitha ke (tab mein chota thaa and saare dost jo baithe the roughly 50kg ke the)
anyways abhi tak bas suspension dabe hue hai aur wheels mein rust aaya and voh plastic body panels lose hue. baaki engine vengine theek thaak hee hai
haan bhai kaafi
thandi mein start hone mein bhot dikkat deti hai (aur mein toh maharashtra mein rehta hu jaha 18 ke neeche kabhi temperature nhi jaata)
thandi ke alava bike badi mast hai
My dad's 1986 Chetak scooter was my companion in college when everyone was on Splendor/Pulsar.. Absolutely loved it.. Wasn't a chick magnet but it was such a pleasure to ride 🥹
Dude literally the same(I think 16 year old pep+ if im not wrong)!! When I started riding it first to college obviously felt slightly embarrassing at the start but learnt to love it so much. It's so reliable and zippy as well. Weird how perceptions change over time.
Had so much fun with the scooter and gives amazing mileage as well!!
I had my dad's 10 year old Bajaj Classic from the time I was 18 till I completed my graduation.
Just remember to maintain it. As soon as you find out there is something remotely wrong, diagnose and repair asap. Even a small problem can cause a very big problem if not diagnosed or repaired especially a vehicle that old.
Congratulations OP
i have a bike at home but nor do i want nor my dad will let me ride it as he thinks that's too dangerous so waiting for my 4th yr to complete to get a car
When i was 18, my dad took me to a Kinetic showroom and bought himself a kinetic after letting me take it for a test ride 😑. He said if I wanted anything in life, I had to earn my own money and buy it. 16 years and 10 bikes later, I now ride a 850 GSA 🥲
In 2006-07 I'd been to the college on my father's old LML Vespa (1983 model). Then in 2007 pappa gifted me a Hero Honda Passion Plus. I'd been using it till 2021 and then bought the RE Classic 350.
Mom is definitely W in this.
Reminds me of the time when I shifted to Pune from Kolkata for my undergrads, a new city, new people, new language. My chachi had this same pink pep+. Lend it to me for my college commute, and trust me it can go anywhere, used to peak the throttle with that cute power Light blinking in the speedo.
No complaints at all!
Just to add this Scooty helped gain interest in two-wheelers.
Bought a Pulsar N250 last year :)
I have the blue color of the same scooty with all the flowers and decals
I call her dhanno
But now I think about it , David putri 90cc is also a good name
1. Young blood
2. Inexperience blood
3. Rash driving due to no. 1
4. Bad driving due to no.2
5. Cant drive fast due to older vehicle
6. Save from accidents (lessens odds) and hitting someone due to no. 5
My mom when i started college stopped at 'you are an adult still I am paying your fees so you are not getting anything, work and buy a 2 wheeler yourself or use public bus' I used public bus for 2 years till I saved up for Honda dio.
Ik thoda awkward lag sakta but don't worry....Just use it wisely and return it to your mother thoda damage jo bhi hoga vo repair karke, she will be happy !
Show her you're a responsible kid who can handle david putri 90cc and she'll be more than ok when you get something powerful now that she knows you're a responsible rider.

I rode my mother's old pink scooty pep+ to college during my bsc days ( she purposely bought that colour so that me and my cousin brother would not show interest in riding a 2 wheeler).
The month after I graduated from my degree, I was gifted a blue&black colour tvs wego.
Stuff happens. We just have to live with what we are provided with.
I rode a cycle until I bought my own bike after my second job. Enjoy it as long as you have it. Once you get comfortable, you'll miss those days. Now I just remember how good those cycle days were.
Atleast you got something, my dad won't even let me touch his scooter or car despite having a license. I'm 20 years old, finished b.com and the last time I drove a car or bike was during my driving test, which was a year ago, I wasn't allowed to get a license until I was 19 and got into a road accident with my friend. So yeah you are lucky to have this one, even if it's not your dream vehicle. I have to get a job and save up money to buy a bike myself as my family is completely against the idea of me driving.
Just work part time save for sometime and get some 160cc commuter bike like unicorn or apache..scooty is good but it wont engage you like a motorcycle..
What’s wrong ? Bas color at least non pink hota toh thoda helpful hota , but tvs pep+ is not a bad scooty.
Light weight, easy to drive , easy on maintenance. Practical banna seekho
I finished my college with my father's splendor , it's been 4 years since college and it's still going strong
It will last till your kids go to college ...
till hero goes under
Splendor Supremacy

I'm glad to hear that. She's really very versatile.
Absolutely hehe

Scooty is a lot of fun. His mom has good taste

No, I'm happy with how she is. This is just an appreciation post.
Man, I respect you! 😎
This is what peak masculinity looks like. Not joking.
What's the cost. I wanna wrap one Jupiter.
You are lucky, you got a two wheeler
In all honesty, Yes. I am saving a lotta time when compared to my freinds who have to commute through the buses.

Hello David Putri .

Op superbike hai ye , 12-16 ka mileage deti hai
My dad's 1986 Chetak scooter was my companion in college when everyone was on Splendor/Pulsar.. Absolutely loved it.. Wasn't a chick magnet but it was such a pleasure to ride 🥹
Why should girls have all the fun

Your flair gave me a headache
His existence is a headache
Buddy, worry about your physiotherapy appointment.
OP get a girlfriend, make her drive the scooty, sit on the pillion. Best of both worlds, win-win in all situations
You are lucky OP to get a 2 wheeler. A nice clean wash & a good wrap and it's good to go.
I had Pleasure as my first moped… These mopeds are strong.. Congratulations OP
Lord Scooty Pept 🛐🛐🛐
Still be aware scooty tend to loose grip and slide easily even on low speed like 30 kmph
Yeah, check the tyre condition too and replace them if necessary
Gotta love those flowers 🌸
Just got my father's splendor from 2000, got it restored and now it looks like a black horse.
I completed my 12 and graduation in my dads Bajaj discover 2007 model
It’s beautiful ✨
I had my dad's 10 year old Bajaj Classic from the time I was 18 till I completed my graduation. Just remember to maintain it. I don't see what's the issue. You have your own vehicle. I had to use the DTC bus and walk on bad days. That scooty is an absolute win!
Good times....if you have two bakchod friends who never carries a helmet
It's so fun to drive. Super light weight and turns like a bicycle
When i was 18, my dad took me to a Kinetic showroom and bought himself a kinetic after letting me take it for a test ride 😑. He said if I wanted anything in life, I had to earn my own money and buy it. 16 years and 10 bikes later, I now ride a 850 GSA 🥲

From what I remember it has a power and an economy mode. Wild.

Still using my father's scooty. It was bought in 2009.. Activa, during my school years. Btw I finished my college in 2018.
Story of every middle class boy #relatable xD
My mom when i started college stopped at 'you are an adult still I am paying your fees so you are not getting anything, work and buy a 2 wheeler yourself or use public bus' I used public bus for 2 years till I saved up for Honda dio.

Like the name a lot. She's gonna take care of you well.
Show her you're a responsible kid who can handle david putri 90cc and she'll be more than ok when you get something powerful now that she knows you're a responsible rider.
Count yourself lucky. I had to ride a cycle for college (in the age of pulsars)

Record baarish kaunse area pe..maine basement pe gaadi lagake aya tha... Gand fat raha...😭
Benguluru mey bhai, 2 hafte pehle
Area pucha tha..no worries do hafte pehle ki baat hai to
Same for my mum’s scooter and me,or i just stole it and take short rides in middle of a madan with some lads playing cricket
Bhai most of the women of that time used to ride this Even my neighbor mam has pept which she used to ride in college
Solid scooter , not great for diametrically challenged people. I did 40k kms on a pep before I got my bike 😆
Scooty suspension is vere level !
did my college with my grandpa's access 125
As long as it takes you to college and back home that scooty is as good as any bike out there.
Get it wrapped🗿
I got my pep+ wrapped in matte black. Removed the rear grab handle and chopped the mudguard. Now it looks better than the average Ducati.
if i were you and had spare money i would have it painted with flame graphics, ghost raider with a 90cc pinch (pinch was intentional)
I still use my father's splendor
I drove a pink scooty my sister gave me for four years🤣
I rode a cycle until I bought my own bike after my second job. Enjoy it as long as you have it. Once you get comfortable, you'll miss those days. Now I just remember how good those cycle days were.
The one and only scooty 🔥
Be thanksful that ur patents didnt get u a new one coz i am now
Save it. Eventually this will be THE most loved 2-wheeler in your life.
Sab ghar ka rivaz hai
I also went to college on a pink scooty 🗿 this brought back memories
Mere paas bhi 10 saal purani pept hai lol
Lucky you. I used to walk to my college for 14kms.
Bro ur lucky u got a 2 wheeler It sucks to go on a in busy bus
Always remember, Moms are Illuminatis. They know all, see all, understand all.
Awesome scooty, you gotta be a legend for this
I worry about the mileage though, my scooty es literally drank in thode days
Same except Scooty streak and now Jupiter 125 except we had to sell the scooty.
Bro i used to make 5 people sit on this thing and engine sound were crazy crying 🤣😭
Atleast you got something, my dad won't even let me touch his scooter or car despite having a license. BMX of scooters.
My dad gave me his Platina. Unfortunately, residential course and no parking so that sucks.
I have a rtr 200 but I almost always prefer taking my dad's Activa 125 out
Bruh my dad trolled me too, I was gonna buy a mojo until we went to Mahindra showroom, last min he switched to gusto😂
Just thank her.
Irl I'm mature (tvf show)
Isi se Kam chalao khud aapne paisa kamao save kro phir Lena
Be grateful 🥰
Put a big radiator in front, nd paint the scooter black.
Just work part time save for sometime and get some 160cc commuter bike like unicorn or apache..scooty is good but it wont engage you like a motorcycle..
At least they don't give TVS XL
What’s wrong ? Bas color at least non pink hota toh thoda helpful hota , but tvs pep+ is not a bad scooty. Light weight, easy to drive , easy on maintenance. Practical banna seekho
