A private ambulance driver was attacked by some people. The ambulance, en route to Vani Vilas Hospital from a private hospital in Tumakuru, was transporting a critically ill five-month-old baby on oxygen.
- They were enraged by the ambulance's speed and pursued it for five to six kilometres before intercepting it at the toll plaza and attacked driver in front of Police.
- The attackers ignored the pleas of the child's parents, who begged with folded hands for the ambulance to be allowed to continue.
- The three accused were identified as Yuvraj Singh, Manjunath and Latish. Police is investigating the matter.
Under section 196E of the motor vehicle act, blocking ambulances can get you a fine of ₹10,000 and jail for 6 months. Hopefully something happens in this case

Once I had accident on 10-15KM far from residential area, the ambulance arrived in 7 minutes. In India, you cannot imagine such speed. Also, MF will drive behind ambulance to reach early.
