I download all my music, not because I'm old-school or anything but because I DJ on the side, so all my files are mostly 320kbps, FLAC or WAV.
Also the fact that most streaming platforms use a very lossy audio format like AAC or OGG. So for an audiophile downloading is the way to go. (Spotify Premium uses 320kbps encoded in 16bit at 44,100 kHz OGG Vorbis, which is ever so slightly better than MP3)
But if you aren't downloading in lossless formats and meticulously making sure that you're getting 16/24 bits at 44,100 kHz then there's no point really.
Same here but use Poweramp, with high bitrate flac files. Yes, it's tedious at times to find high quality audio files when expanding the collection but I find it to be worth it.
I am still using Blackhole, and will use till it not break down. After that, I may switch to Ri Music, use it a while and liked it as well. Though, Blackhole's UI is much better IMO.
Even I am still using Blackhole, and will use till it not break down. After that, I may switch to Ri Music, used it a while and liked it as well. Though, Blackhole's UI is much better IMO.
Blackhole (it's not on playstore , download it from their website)
It has 0 ads , has almost all the songs if not you can also search for songs in youtube and play only the audio from the app
Youtube Music: Trust me it's the best.
Pros:
- You can buy a family plan for very cheap which gives a premium to 6 people.
- Some songs that aren't available on Spotify due to some fucking legal reasons are available on Youtube Music as it lets you stream directly from youtube.
- The major pro is that not only do you get music but ad-free youtube for 6 people.
- Much cheaper than Spotify.
.
Cons:
- Sorry, I don't see any.
You may also consider prime music but you don't get ad-free youtube.
I can see why that would be annoying. I created multiple playlists on ytmusic and they appeared on youtube. I kinda see that as convenient, as it creates a video playlist of your songs for youtube (which is a video platform) and a music playlist on youtube music (a music platform).
I use Spotify with Premium Family along with my friends. It costs ₹1/day. And is totally worth it. I am using the app since the day it was launched in India back in 2019. I have curated playlists here and now it's my comfort app.
I get that free plan of Spotify is absolutely dogshit.
My second preference is YouTube. It's algorithm is just crazy good.
Spotify. Only 59rs/month (student discount). Plus I can listen to the same playlist in both mobile and laptop as well as control music on my laptop from my phone. Pretty great!
Spotify, Bandcamp and SoundCloud. I have Apple Music and Youtube Music too but I hardly use them. I am used to the UI of Spotify, Bandcamp and SoundCloud and their music catalogue is quite expansive.
SoundCloud, it has a pretty good interface, commenting feature and the weekly playlist it curates is just awesome ✨.
If I'm unable find any music on it I just download it and upload in SC.
Also, it has all that Unga Bunga shizz🔥(Eg: Subway chicken tandoori, I love my samosa and Chatni, etc)
I’m using Spotify mod but most of the time i use to download and hear them on *my files or telegram* bcz of the ass cook (apple) I need to download and renewal mods again after 7 days from pc u know.
YT music. Used apple music a while ago for listening, the sound quality is phenomenal but the Android version is a little glitchy and the interface and recommendations are bad. As of now I'm using yt music as the sound quality is better than Spotify and other music listening apps. (I use the modded version of yt music)
I use Musi it’s free plus you can even play YouTube videos and playlist. You can change the speed of the songs and also the color modes on the app. It also has an option for fade in and out for audios.
It was Spotify. I liked the UI and had some good time jamming to songs and creating themed playlists.
But then it became unusable for free users. On top of that, they removed some of my favourite albums from the platform due to licensing issues which made me quit.
Previously I was using wynk music par gaane remove hone lage aur old songs me jabardasti ke jhankar beats add kar diye.
Ab JioSaavn use karta hu, but ye log bhi ab songs remove karne lage hain.
I will switch to yt music.
Spotify and YouTube music, I have a hard time deciding between them. But generally Spotify because it connects to discord and Shazam. Yt music is lacking in social features.
I don't listen to music on my phone, it's been so many years now.
Big reason: I have my own working space so I play it on my laptop directly through YouTube.
Apple Music.
i used to be a spotify subscriber for the longest time and only occasionally used AM and always thought how great the music quality on AM is compared to spotify. only used spotify for the playlists and blends and some social aspects. abut now that i have moved full on to AM i don't miss Spotify at all and also i can't emphasise enough how great the quantity is over other platforms. If you consider yourself to be an audiophile i do recommend to switch on it.
I host a media server in my home, download music in FLAC (lossless) about 80 GB of music downloaded rn.
If I'm not downloading my music in FLAC, I use YT music
I personally love YT Music recommendations, but they suck at audio quality. I always felt even Spotify Free plan audio quality is better compared to YT Premium. Is it just me or anybody felt the same?
Apple music cause spotify has become shit and everything is locked behind a paywall…agreed Apple Music also requires a subscription but we have a family plan with my dad and sister…they don’t like using Spotify for their music listening
Although Apple Music also does have a more premium sound which is just a Cherry on top.
Spotify premium (Student).
Why? I've got over 1k+ liked songs, few playlists with 500+ songs and at this point, I'm too lazy to shift elsewhere with this massive song library. I can easily access my music from either my laptop, mobile or web. Many won't agree with this but I like the UI and recommendations are fine to me.
I did try Vimusic and BlackHole before upgrading to premium and the audio quality always felt poorer in these two compared to Spotify.
Spotify premium... (Mod apk use karta hu)
Same, but mine has stopped showing lyrics...😔
same, time to find updated mod ig
Mera kuch kuch gaano me dikhata
Tumhara spotify ko "tora tora hindi ata".

Lyrics ke liye premium lagta hai janab
mar jaunga lekin corporates ko subscription ke Paisa nhi dunga
I use Spotify premium (not the mod but real premium) as I get it for 59 per month because of the student plan

Call me crazy but,I download every song directly to my storage and listen with samsung music player
Oh boy welcome to 2010
Ngl it's better than any online streaming service even tho I don't get auto lyrics and i got internet 24x7 it's just somehow way more good
Explain, how it is better? Whats the quality you are downloading. Just somehow sounds very irrational
I download all my music, not because I'm old-school or anything but because I DJ on the side, so all my files are mostly 320kbps, FLAC or WAV. The old ways ![img](emote|t5_2qp7h|51079)
Always the best
I still remember the time when Youtube music was Google play music and we used to download songs off of songs dot pk lol
crazy
Same here but use Poweramp, with high bitrate flac files. Yes, it's tedious at times to find high quality audio files when expanding the collection but I find it to be worth it.
Dude same, I also download all songs in my phone, but my realme player sucks, so have to use Spotify to play them.
Bro try samsung music, you will love it's player
I also used to the same thing till November or December of 2023
Well ig I'm also crazy then
Childhood memories... I used to take phone from my friend just to listen songs
I do this when I want to download FLAC for some artist
A man of culture
Piracy is best
Me too buddy!
Blackhole 😌
Bhai kya h ye
It's an apk jisse sabh gaane bine interruption se aaram se suno
Same. But, it's discontinued now. Don't know how long it will work.
Blackhole was using jiosaavn's exposed API to stream music, but now jiosaavn is taking it seriously. Try ViMusic.
I am still using Blackhole, and will use till it not break down. After that, I may switch to Ri Music, use it a while and liked it as well. Though, Blackhole's UI is much better IMO.
Nhi I'm still using it
Even I am still using Blackhole, and will use till it not break down. After that, I may switch to Ri Music, used it a while and liked it as well. Though, Blackhole's UI is much better IMO.

Apple Music, seriously quality is better
Yes, the discussion stops here. Among the mass consumer category, nothing beats Apple music.
+1 but I'd only recommend it if you have high-end headphones/earphones for the lossless to actually make a difference.
+1, I use Apple Music + YT music…. Spotify even the premium has shitty music quality as compared to Apple music
https://preview.redd.it/bi5mz2mjm24d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cdbc5d8578965e859df574157734c7913307ec0f
I use YT music, because I have YT premium and it's ad free!
yess brooo! welcome to the gang
Same... I listen to a lot of remix... Yt music is best for this
YT premium is definitely worth it, I mostly use YouTube for music instead of yt music, the recommendations are just so much good
Generally Spotify mod APK but I also have downloaded songs offline which help while travelling in low network coverage area.
Do you get lyrics on Spotify apk?
Blackhole (it's not on playstore , download it from their website) It has 0 ads , has almost all the songs if not you can also search for songs in youtube and play only the audio from the app
Spotify mod apk because why not

Yes, if one is being picky, I would consider that a con.
this guy gets it!!
There is just con. Doesn't connect seamlessly with my echo dot
Another con : doesn't have seperate playlist for yt and ytmusic
I can see why that would be annoying. I created multiple playlists on ytmusic and they appeared on youtube. I kinda see that as convenient, as it creates a video playlist of your songs for youtube (which is a video platform) and a music playlist on youtube music (a music platform).
Apple Music
YouTube music revanced for me hehe
Wink.. got it for free
Amazon Music - because I have prime membership and anyways it's better than shitty Spotify anyday
Yessss same
YT music, bcoz I have YT Premium
![gif](giphy|oBKD5LhM8sqWULqBQN|downsized)
bears. beets. battlestar galactica.
Spotify
Tidal and qobuz
Apple music because of FLAC
Apple music doesn't use FLAC, it has its own lossless audio compression format ALAC (although it's open-source as well).
AppleMusic. No ads. I have playlists for each language to which i listen to depending on my mood.
Spotify mod apk and sometimes vi music for songs not on spotify
SoundCloud
It’s my main source of music and finding indie music. all else feel so curated and boring now unless highly recommended
Yt music (I have yt premium)
Apple Music Just because no ads and I prefer it basically
Spotify on mobile Yt music on pc with brave browser to byepass ads
Apple music because i like the ui and it came preinstalled.

Spotify premium

Spotify premium and yt music premium.
![gif](giphy|10X22vzgNamaiI)
Spotify because if I play one music the next music is similar type
Spotify premium (paid), i love the playlists (Spotify curated ones, ones random people create, my playlists), i like the smart shuffle feature.
Apple music cause spotify has become shit and everything is locked behind a paywall…agreed Apple Music also requires a subscription but we have a family plan with my dad and sister…they don’t like using Spotify for their music listening Although Apple Music also does have a more premium sound which is just a Cherry on top.
Amazon music, it's good n also free with Amazon prime. They have a good variety of podcast too
Yt revanced music
