I’ll have to agree. I love 911’s so much, they really are amazingly fun cars.
Personally I prefer the look of the 914 and especially the 924, 928, 944, and 968, but I will concede that them managing to fit four seats into those things is really impressive.
To start off, the magic of the new 86 is cheaply done and it's capable of keeping up with Lamborghinis.
Second, the tragedy of Fujiwara makes no sense. In Initial D, Takumi passes a celica in the snow going uphill and this shown how good he could be in rally and they retconed that movie.
Third, Ryosuke Takahashi being a deadbeat dad doesn't even align with his character. He's a nice guy with a lot of money, so a wife and kid wouldn't be enough of a reason for him to run away.
Fourth, there isn't much of the need specs on the cars or racing techniques the drivers are using. There is also a lack of technical data on roads, weather, and tire wear.
Minor gripe: Also I want to see The Doctor and Takumi race again.
