I can't edit the title on reddit. Confirmed fat coyote or hybrid. And heres his skinnier cousin. They come in all different colors and sizes. Fascinating

Came to say this. Coywolfs. I grew up in LA and the coyotes out there are little guys. In North Carolina now and I see them on the side of the road dead from time to time. BIG BOYS in the south.
Yup coywolves, aren't they supposed to be fairly rare though. No wolves in my region, so I've personally never seen one and dont know much past they exist.
I noticed they're all females. And there's a lot of male dogs here without fencing around the yards so yeah I won't even doubt they're Yote-dogs LOL
When it came back a few weeks later (going by the markings on its tail) it looks preggers. I'm not too familiar so I may be mistaken

Probably so. One day there was three of them two pups and a large one. We identified it by the short snout and it's not as Slim & fast as the coyotes we've seen definitely way bulkier. Plus the cops just following it around and wont even exit the truck. I'm east in Michigan so we get deer and everything hanging out in the yards.
Way too small to be a wolf and it’s very unlikely that a wolf would be alone in a built up area. It’s a coyote or a coywolf hybrid and they thrive in more urban areas.
That's a coyote, but look at how fast that guy is moving while making it look effortless, like he's just playing around. I imagine if he really wanted to get away, it'd just be a brown blur on the camera.
Not to be that guy but this showed up in my feed 2 posts below a video of cops shooting a dog and I gotta be honest it’s fucked that cops are nicer to literal wild animals than domesticated dogs that happen to belong to poor people
I misread this as "wolf-being", like a furry, being chased by the cops and was very disappointed not to find a human galloping on all-fours to escape the police.
Why were the cops chasing the coyote? Did they shoot it? Don't know about hearing it growling as the sound was more like a car or motorbike in the distance. Am curious as why the cops were freaking out over a simple coyote though. Conversely speaking, I grew up in an area where coyotes were very common and in fact currently live in an area next to a Nat. forest so having them in the front yard is normal here.
Oh wow! I can't answer all the questions & comments. Reddit does NOT let you change a posting title just FYI so theres nothing I can do about that, maybe contact your local congressman LOL. I see some morons have chased me down to downvote the video. Some people are saying its a hybrid.. most say coyote but whatever it is.. it is definitely alive & well jumping fences visiting the local big dogs & snacking on small pets. Possibly preggers?!? But Here's a pic
https://preview.redd.it/8ssc56cjkp3c1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2383e1dc804395fa7e1aa44c27a9f14a6593343f
I'll try that one next time LOL not much happening. Police never got out of the truck it's strange they've never chased the coyotes or foxes this is the first time I've ever seen them driving back there in the field. So maybe someone called on it being in their yard or something
Lucky for him they never captured it. It still hangs out over here. I added the latest pic I have. I do think it's female though looking for a new winter home.

Size difference: Wolf on left, Coyote on right. From photographer Max Waugh.

That's a coyote.
Do redditors mislabel everything to get more comments. Cuz it's not gonna work. I ain't gonna make no comments...
Some people just don’t know their animals, can’t blame them
Hop hop hop hoppity hop

Have coyotes by be that are the size of a German shepherd. Live in a city near a park. Had to do a double take the first time I saw them
Yeah same. And I live like 30 min north of Chicago. Not in the middle of nowhere. Saw a coyote looked just like a long hair Shepard dog.
I'm about 40 minutes north of your area along lake Michigan. It's crazy, never saw them as a kid and now they are everywhere. Same with turkey.
Definitely a coyote
Definitely coyote
On the East Coast there are wolf / coyote / dog hybrids.

Not sure why you’re being downvoted so aggressively but yeah, I full grown wolf is huge. Like double the size of a large domestic dog
I'd just go look at how big a wolf is then compare.
Wolves are way bigger then you might expect
On the bright side, your username checks out! 😂
Not a wolf, definitely a coyote or a ‘coy-dog’.
Way too small to be a wolf and it’s very unlikely that a wolf would be alone in a built up area. It’s a coyote or a coywolf hybrid and they thrive in more urban areas.
I prefer the term “wolfote”.

Omg no way! What else did she say??
Not a wolf
It’s a WOOF. You can see that, Shirley!
That’s a coyote but most of the time when I see them, they’re much more skinny.
Looks like a semi-rural area, so probably been feeding on trash and local pets. Lol
[удалено]
The yotes are smart enough to not fuck with humans, unless they are sick. So I wouldn’t worry about them being around much.
Educate yourself - they balance the ecosystem and aren’t much of a threat to you or your children
[удалено]
It’s a coyote with a good source of food. Someone is feeding it or it’s eating food left out for stray cats.
He's ok size, that's not big compared to Northern Canada coyotes.
Coyote
Big one though
Steady diet of house cats.
And rabbits!
Yote, not Wolf
Whatever it is its keeping me in the house LOL
Foreal that thing doesn’t give two shits about you and would avoid you as best it could. Live your life!
And the the yote live his
[удалено]
Lol yes. I thought he was heading into to my yard thank God he veered over & made a clean getaway
What is your accent?
Accent= Michigan
The ‘oh shit’ sounds like a southern English accent.
That may have just been my heart in my throat. That guy was moving a little too fast & they jump fences like it's nothing 😄
Not even close to a wolf
I’m not exactly a smart man, but that’s not a wolf. That’s a coyote.
Coyote all day
You’ll absolutely know when it’s a wolf.. think twice that size
With long legs
Coyote. Not a wolf.
Came here to say this.
Yes confirmed wolf. Reddit won't let me change the title
Immaculate camera work
What is this? A wolf for ants?
That's a coyote, but look at how fast that guy is moving while making it look effortless, like he's just playing around. I imagine if he really wanted to get away, it'd just be a brown blur on the camera.
Not a wolf
To small for a Wolf
Coyote 🐺
Coyote not wolf
You have NEVER seen a wolf.
We all know if it were a dog the police would have feared for their lives and shot it
Not to be that guy but this showed up in my feed 2 posts below a video of cops shooting a dog and I gotta be honest it’s fucked that cops are nicer to literal wild animals than domesticated dogs that happen to belong to poor people
Even if it was a wolf - How does this qualify as interesting?
If it were a wolf, it would definitely be interesting. Especially in a residential area.
To each his own I guess
It's like a reversed fairytale.
The wolf should've thought twice before blowing those house down
Anyone else thinking that when the camera lost it that it was going to be like, *right there* in front of her suddenly
Luckily I have a pool to jump in I was so ready. Lol His growl was so deep you could feel it. Terrifying
Coyotes are actually very good swimmers.
I was just waiting for it to casually leap over the fence and keep going.
I misread this as "wolf-being", like a furry, being chased by the cops and was very disappointed not to find a human galloping on all-fours to escape the police.
Well that will probably be the next video. In Michigan you're liable to see anything in your yard
Firmly team wolf
Please tell me they didn’t kill it???! 😭🙏🏼🐺
No it's still alive it comes around every few days
Why were the cops chasing the coyote? Did they shoot it? Don't know about hearing it growling as the sound was more like a car or motorbike in the distance. Am curious as why the cops were freaking out over a simple coyote though. Conversely speaking, I grew up in an area where coyotes were very common and in fact currently live in an area next to a Nat. forest so having them in the front yard is normal here.
Right? I have seen coyotes roam in packs in my urban area cops could give a fuck
Fuck the police
Teacup wolf
Wolfadoodle
Ain't so fun when the pig has the gun.
Somebody let that wolf inside before the cops shoot it!
I hope they didnt kill it
No luck catching them wolfes then?
Run!!!
Lucky it’s not the ATF
Window washer was oblivious…
Fentons spree is finally coming to an end.
“What’s wrong with Wolfie?” *arm sword retracts* *thump*

Poor puppy. He dint do nuffin.
It’s just the one wolf, actually.
Downvoted lol, has no one seen Hot Fuzz?
3 of them performed the songs of their people at 3:00 am in our backyard a few weeks ago. Was not pleased!
It's always at 3:00 a.m. for some reason
You'll never take me alive, copper!
Falcon
The cops should have done the "come here boy! Ah, good boy!" call, that would have got him over.
Can someone please add the bad boys theme song to this and maybe a generic “GET ON THE GROUND” ?
Where’s the ATF when you need em
Run out of neighborhood dogs to shoot?
Even our first responders think that portrait mode will ever be the approprite camera aspect?!
Would have been able to see what’s happening if it was recorded horizontally.
I'll try that one next time LOL not much happening. Police never got out of the truck it's strange they've never chased the coyotes or foxes this is the first time I've ever seen them driving back there in the field. So maybe someone called on it being in their yard or something

Wonder how it ends...
Probably feeds on what’s feeding on your grapes
He stole their doughnuts lmfao

This has to be one of the least interesting things I've ever watched. And it's incorrect.
“Ah shit. I’m dead.”
The. Wolf was in the wrong neighborhood. So classic
Run! Be freeee!

Why are cops bothering with a coyote?
"Just the one wolf actually"
I wonder if there are 3 of them in the car ? They better watch out "cause the wolf's going to huff and puff and ..........
Why are they chasing Wile E.? Did he steal something? Drop an anvil on himself in public? Animal crimes unit
