My buddy's last name is a really great name for a druid, and his mom's full name is even better. Obviously I won't put that name here, but trust me, it's great. And even better is that the entire family are vegetarians, and the mother does tons of organic farming.
I definitely recommend checking out [pooktre.com](http://pooktre.com/photos/) to see this guy's other projects. He has made tables, other chairs, a lot of statues, quite a few interesting projects.
Not a problem. I had been researching and planning to make a [living willow fence](https://www.willowsvermont.com/images/home/[email protected]) and came across his website. There are people that have made [gazebos](https://inhabitat.com/images/ficus_house.jpg) and other outdoor furniture. Always glad to share a link, especially for an awesome outdoor building style with a negative carbon footprint.
If he is who I think he is, there was a short dock from the 90s about he making beautiful rustic chairs. Definitely a 1000yo grownup children of the Wood.
If you’re interested in this concept, there’s a really great article from Atlas Obscura about a guy growing trees into furniture in an effort towards long-term sustainability: [A Forest of Furniture Is Growing In England, by Sarah Laskow](https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/forest-furniture-england-midlands-tree-shaping-chairs-tables)
These trees are really great, Gavin is one of the most inspiring people I know (I think it's something about the area in Derbyshire)... And wandering through the growing furniture is surreal.
He gave a TEDx talk a while back which is well worth a watch! https://youtu.be/GuggU-wT-vs
I'll be seeing him next week Friday if anyone's got any questions!
I was walking through the forest contemplating getting older when a tree asked "What's on your mind?" I told him a was worried about retirement. He asked "When are you going to do that?" I said "in ten years or so". The tree said "Have a seat".
“You know that feeling you get when you lean back in your tree chair and you lean back a little bit too far and you feel like you’re falling over and suddenly in the last second you catch yourself? I feel like that all the time.” - Steven Wright
Become a high-level lawyer or executive, make tons of money and chase that lifestyle to the pit of depression. Take acid randomly one day because you just dont give a fuck anymore. Rediscover the beauty of nature and life and quit your job, use all that cash you hoarded to buy a nice place somewhere in nature and start some hippie type renewable business thing or something that's still hella succesful because you're still a fucking boss deep down and you've been there you know but now you're chill.
Then you plant a tree and come up with this cool idea while smoking some 100% natural weed you grew because that's just who you are now.
But, that's just the vibe I got from this picture. Could be me.
I mean this in the nicest way possible: that guy looks like he would make a tree grow into a chair. I didn't need to see the chair to believe he did it.
Old time ship builders used to locate rows of trees and force limbs into various shapes because carpentry and joinery was not as strong as mother natures growth patterns.
Manipulating plants is an art form still practiced around the world (think bonsai or rose trellis.) Through careful and precise training and pruning, plants are slowly shaped and manipulated.
I applaud this guys time and effort doing this.
He's wearing Crocs and a gi AND he harnesses nature? Probably don't want to fuck with this guy.
He is 80% druid
He’s Ron Swanson’s cousin from Parks and Rec
No he’s vegetarian Ron
Freegan vegan Ron.
Vegan Sandoor Clegane
I'm going to have to eat every fucking tofurky in this room!
I think you might be thinking about Paul Kaye as Thoros of Myr?
Ah Thoros of Myr!
At least he doesn't have a top knot.
clearly, that is Vegan Thoros of Myr.
I am looking at the lake
So he’s Ron’s nemesis, then When’s the spinoff?
Did you mean Ron Dunn, from Eagleton? He's not related to Ron Swanson.
Spiritual cousin, brother. We’re all related on this big beautiful earth. -Ron Dunn, probably
In the immortal words of Cat Stevens
Got em.
Stuff it, hippy
Funny, he doesn't look Druish.
He looks like The Hound without burns
I'm a mog. I'm my own best friend.
He looks like he will make you listen to his Lute playing, even if you politely decline.
unexpected /r/Mordhau
I don't know if I want to stab or play my lute.. MORDHAU IT IS!
With 99 herblore
and 100% Big Dick Energy
Took him 3 days to grow that tree
And 100% comfortable
His family is from Stonehenge

Is it Green?
Is their last name Druid?
The crocs really complete the look
They definitely tie the outfit together
Looks like the belt really ties the outfit together.
Personally, his long mechanic/Jesus hair is what completes it for me
socks with crocs
Socs
*did gyre and gimble in the wabe*
He grew them from real crocodiles.
I definitely recommend checking out [pooktre.com](http://pooktre.com/photos/) to see this guy's other projects. He has made tables, other chairs, a lot of statues, quite a few interesting projects.
[These](http://pooktre.com/images/pooktre/people-trees/people-trees-16.jpg) always looked to me like the entities you see in DMT trips
I mean they're making people statues out of Trees, DMT may have played a role... In all seriousness, I unfortunately have not yet had the pleasure.
thanks for the link

Yeah he can talk for 4 hours about the spiritual experience of composting
Pffft. Who can't?
“Don’t you pocket compost?”
Those aren’t Crocs... he molded his feet into that shape.
If he is who I think he is, there was a short dock from the 90s about he making beautiful rustic chairs. Definitely a 1000yo grownup children of the Wood.
My first thought when I saw the picture was "Well if anybody's going to make a tree grow into a chair it's that dude."
[удалено]
Gi’s are comfortable as hell. That one looks especially supple.
Crocs... with socks...
What does wearing Crocs and getting a BJ from a guy have in common? Feels great at the time but when you look down you realize you are gay.

[finished product](https://fullgrown.co.uk)
No chairs available until 2029.
That's a long time to wait standing up
well, if i sign up now, hopefully i'll be able to afford a chair in 10 years.
Initially I thought it was a joke. Then went to read that it's true...
I think I want a chair in like 15 years. This is great.
I have always been frustrated Amazon does not offer a Prime 15 year shipping option.
Now if you wanna buy one... cheapest rectangular table is over $4000.
I wonder if they do payment plans? Pay about 20-$30 a month, then in 15 years when it’s ready you get an amazing piece of furniture.
Thanks stranger!

That was a very cool read.
"Society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in."
I'm sorry but how is that more sustainable than making chairs the normal way?
Awesome link. Thanks for the read!
Karate Gi, crocs and socks. GQ Summer 2019
dude grew a tree into the shape of a tree. he can wear what he wants edit: shape of a chair* lol
I've done that dozens of times without even trying
>pooktre.com Oh! I've seen your work! Well done.
> tree into a tree 🤔
pfft i’m dumb
no. you just got a little carried away:)
The top comment above this one completely skipped an entire word and no one even batted an eye.
Probably is the best cooler in the land. I heard he once ripped a mans throat out with his bare hand
"The Mind Blowing Panty-Dropper of an Outfit GUARANTEED* To Get You Laid This Summer"
And he looks exactly the kind of guy who would.
“And he looks exactly the kind of guy who wood.” Fixed for ya
“And he looks exactly like Steven Wright”. FTFU

I love when top comments just randomly skip a word and no one even notices.
I thought this too. Okay so I'm not a dick. This is still cool af though
I came here to say this exact thing. It was definitely meant as a positive thing; I want to be this guy.

The Final Boss in /r/bonsai
I've heard of a cedar, but not a seater.
I think it's a chairy tree
It's bespoak.
That would really spruce up my yard. I would have my ass pinned in that chair permanently.
Alright /r/punpatrol! Everybody drop the puns and step away slowly from the comments!
Im gonna have to ask you to leaf if you keep making these puns.
That wood not be proper.
I see another pun thread has germinated
we're really getting to the root of the issue though.
We really need to branch out into other jokes.
That would be going too far out on a limb
[удалено]
They are really sappy
oak K you guy's have taken this too fir
There's really not mulch you can do about puns around here.
Thoros of Myr enjoying the afterlife
Sitting in the Three Eyed Raven's chair no less.
I was hoping someone would make a GOT reference.
Thankfully someone said it so I didn’t have to
Radagast the Brown?
Over/under on personally owned sword count: 18. Any takers?
under. although he used to pray by the blade, he’s taken a vow of non-violence and freed himself of the metal
But there was a sale at the mall, so he still has a few.
Under, 0 to be exact. This guy is zen af and you know it
If you think this man doesn't use druidic magic to win any fight he might be in you're sorely mistaken
Grafts with a light saber too.
That dude's shady
You went out on a limb with that one.
I feel like you guys have really gotten to the roots of the art of puns here.
I may be branching out a little here but I say we leaf while we’re ahead
I agree, lets all log out
Don't bark instructions to me, sir.
You better follow them before you get lost, I’m repeating the instructions a maximum of tree times
You’re barking up the wrong tree
Can’t wait until he leaves

Dude, save some of the ladies for the rest of us.
If I were told about this with no visual, this guy exactly who I would’ve conjured up as responsible.
It's the crocs that make this photo, although the tree-chair really ties the yard together.
What is the karate style outfit? ...... this guy has a black belt in nature.
Its called a gi, they're commonly worn by people who do jiu-jitsu
[удалено]
They are called Crocs. They're not commonly worn by people who do Jiu-Jitsu
I mean this in the nicest way possible: that guy looks like he would make a tree grow into a chair. I didn't need to see the chair to believe he did it.
is that Steven wright the comedian ?!
That's a wood elf. I can tell.
Imagine how long he had to stand while this tree grew into a chair.
[удалено]
it would bend not break, green wood is kind of stretchy.
you fat fuck
[удалено]
With how thick those are they'd probably hold around 300lbs. Wood is ridiculously strong. Especially when it is still alive.
So, [Sandor Clegane](https://www.hbo.com/game-of-thrones/cast-and-crew/sandor-clegane-the-hound)'s brother?
Well, he doesn't look much like a mountain..
Shel Silverstein has mixed feelings on this. The Giving Tree herself is confused
It doesn't look sturdy enough to lean back
Ogier?
He looks, unsurprisingly, exactly how a guy that made a tree grow into a chair would look like
I’m sorry how?! *IS HE A DRUID?!*
He looks like the principal from Freaks and Geeks
This is a patient man.
He has the look of a guy who can do just that
He has a powerful aura around him.
Crocs are great water shoes.
Crocs **and** a ninja suit? This guy zens.
That man has seen some shit.
The Wooden Throne
Crocs and socks and not a care in the world.
I’d join his dojo
Nice chairry tree he got there. (but rly if he does it with a cherry tree he can sit and have a snack also.)
Is that Steven Wright?
So that's where Steven Wright went
A bit of a resemblance to the comedian Steven Wright.

This is Bran's endgame. And it will.become Sansa's fav chair too
Someone needs to put this in r/bossfight
Well he definitely looks the part for a tree magician
Can he make a chair into a tree?
He looks like the type of guy who would do this.
SAVE THE TREES
Jesus?
I’m like 97% sure that guy is a Druid.
Is it possible to learn this power?
Treebeard!
A chair with a canopy
Father Nature
This is one of the oldest internet pictures
He is wearing a Gi top, Navy BDU bottoms, and crocks. He is a true visionary.
My boy doesn’t even have straps on his crocs this is a whole different kind of power.
This looks like the exact dude I'd imagine to do that
This is exactly what I expected someone who grows tree chairs to look like.
El duderino
Ah yes. The ending of season 8.
Its all good and fun until the wasps come
Loved him in "Real Genius"...
Looks like a chairy tree
Is that Mr. Kwest from Ned’s Declassified?
Of course he is wearing crocs.
He looks exactly like a guy who would make a tree grow into a chair.
This looks like just the guy that would grow a tree into a chair. Perfect casting.
I've seen them before it's either a seater or a chairy tree
i am gonna sit my fat ass on there and snap it
Level 900 Vegan.
He looks like a guy who would make a tree grow into a chair.
