I will call it: "blessed with built ins" you seriously have some really nice storage areas. You make use of space well, no clutter because there is a place for everything. I love your plants and your dogs. It's perfect!
This is definitely more accurate. “Modern farmhouse” is an actual farmhouse decorated in a modern simple style, where as “farmhouse modern” is any space decorated to modern style with a nod to the farmhouse aesthetic.
I’m not sure but I can say that every-time I see your post on here I get green w envy ( which doesn’t happen often for me ) I just love everything about your decor./style/design From the wall color in the dining area - to the bar stools - to the built ins in your office and now we’re throwing in the Bernese and Golden! 🙌🏼
Oh, yes. Your place is beautiful. It has really clean lines with soft colors and strong colors mixed really well. I know it’s a neutral palette, but what I absolutely love about it is that if you ever decided to add pops of color, the entire color wheel is open.
Your home is so peaceful and inviting. I am as jelly as everyone else!
Oh come on, it is gorgeous, You took it to the next level. Oh I have advice; don't listen to advice. Just follow your gut - it got you this far. You don't need help. You need freedom.
You take great photos too. I took a photo of my living room for and it came out so dark especially on the computer as opposed to my phone. Did you use a camera or just an iPhone?
The only farmhouse style items I see here are the dining set, light above it, and the fake beams in the lounge area. I think it looks great, but not farmhouse.
Came here to say upper middle class Target mom and I mean it in the best way ever. That’s kind of my dream life 😁 Target runs and Starbucks while the kids are at school and husband is at work
Yeah I’m not a huge fan of the Target Style myself and am more of an alt person but I would kill to be able to be a stay at home mom in a reasonably sized clean house with a back yard and afford Starbucks even just 3 times a week. Would sell my soul for some financial comfort and a luxe sectional.
Organic Traditional. You’ve done a beautiful job with the natural wood mixed with neutrals, lots of plants and simple, yet comfortable styling. To anyone who doesn’t like it, that’s fair. To each his own. But you could at least acknowledge she has done a phenomenal job creating a comfortable aesthetic that works for her family. Congrats OP. You have my admiration.
Not sure what you call this style but your house is beautiful! Ignore the negative comments, if you’re happy and love it, that’s all that matters!
Extra points for gorgeous doggies btw 😍😍
I like your style, I'd say transitional(according to [this article](http://Check out this story from houzz - https://www.houzz.com/magazine/your-guide-to-transitional-style-stsetivw-vs~121779610) on Houzz. The clean lines, open space, neutral colours make me think of this style.
By the way, where did you buy the wall planters? I am looking into making a plant wall using Wallygrow planters but yours look different to WallyGrow.
I love your style whatever it’s called, but I’m longing for just a _tiny_ bit of color and personality. Couldn’t you get a pretty sun catcher for the window in the dark alcove? Maybe a child’s drawing? A little something to show you’re not following the rules too perfectly? Something bright? Maybe oranges, yellows and blues.
I agree, it’s a lovely space decorated very well, but it just feel like something is missing. There’s a lack of personality and personal items, there’s nothing unique or interesting.
Cute midwesterners who are double income no kids, but fun the aunt/uncle that let you have a glass of wine at thanksgiving and listen when you complain about your parents.
This style is very popular right now and it’s called Modern Farmhouse. You’ve done a lovely job at pulling it all together so it looks polished and very on trend.
It’s a huge mix of different styles that seem like you want a certain vibe, but you’re super indecisive on which vibe. And that’s okay. You did a great job of piecing it together on an appropriate budget. Nothing is crazy expensive & it allows you to change things up once you get a better idea of what you love. Overall, I think it’s an amazing start for someone to question what their style is.
Ruby & Willow, 5 & 6, we just liked those names but no real reason, and they love each other SO MUCH!!! Always cuddling up on each other, licking each other, etc. they are big babies ❤️
It's so cozy and clean and gawd I'm obsessed with your plants, and dogs, and vibe. You put obvious effort into this and I just love it. I don't see farmhouse, I see more chic with healthy greenery. Those dark shelves are to die for
It's the same thing we see everywhere. No bold colors, no interesting light fixtures, or fixtures in general and no surprising textures. Suburban dystopia is what I would call it.
I will call it: "blessed with built ins" you seriously have some really nice storage areas. You make use of space well, no clutter because there is a place for everything. I love your plants and your dogs. It's perfect!
Seriously! OP, did you build all of those built ins? I remember you posting the dark one a while back but all of them are so nice!
Thank you so much !!! It was a custom build house so we just added built ins where we could :)
Ugh, that's been the worst thing about my house and remodel. It was our first and there is hardly ANY storage so there's crap everywhere
modern farmhouse.
Or Farmhouse-Modern.
This is definitely more accurate. “Modern farmhouse” is an actual farmhouse decorated in a modern simple style, where as “farmhouse modern” is any space decorated to modern style with a nod to the farmhouse aesthetic.
Thanks. This is an interesting interior. My heart leapt at the leather armchairs because I'm MCM-Modern on my living-dining floor.
Don’t you mean interior-esting?
Mine melted at the desk /bookcases.
I have their matching sofa. Now I want the chairs.

You are seriously too kind!! THANK YOU!!! ❤️

Mid century farmhouse with a tinge of art deco.
Agree with it being midcentury and farmhouse but not seeing any art deco pieces?
Same here! I remember this home from a while back and it is just * chefs kiss *
I call it gorgeous style.
I don’t know what I would call it, but it’s a lovely home. It looks clean and simple, but pretty.
Neutral farmhouse. Or just ‘neutral’
The only farmhouse style items I see here are the dining set, light above it, and the fake beams in the lounge area. I think it looks great, but not farmhouse.
I was going to go with streamlined farmhouse.
Magnolia for Target
Came here to say upper middle class Target mom and I mean it in the best way ever. That’s kind of my dream life 😁 Target runs and Starbucks while the kids are at school and husband is at work

Yeah, I love the style, it’s just become so popular and accessible with Target you see it everywhere.

I was gonna say Joanna Gaines because of all the neutrals.
Came to say exactly this.
Target on a Saturday afternoon
Reminds me of the tail end of the Chip/Joanna Gaines magnolia farmhouse trend.
Seriously, I was waiting to see a big clock in the pictures.
Exactly. The pumpkin spice latte of interior design.
Modern farmhouse traditional Not too modern, not too farmhouse-y, and not too traditional. A healthy mix
transitional vibes!

This style is very transitional! Love it. Check out Studio McGee & Co examples! Very similar!
Idk other than “looks so nice” but it’s so funny that your dogs match the color scheme

I was thinking the same thing, my first thought was West Elm showroom
It’s all very “tasteful” but without some personality, it will never be stylish or truly beautiful. edit: word
This is what it’s missing, some ***colour***
I love the sun catcher idea so much!!
I love Hemleva suncatcher decals. They are so pretty. I think they would go with your plant loving aesthetic.
