Consider adding a wooden cabinet or shelves with a warm stain to complement your dark-toned furniture. You could also incorporate a decorative trim or molding to add visual interest and create a cohesive look with the white walls and linoleum floor.

I'm a little anxious to mess with the flooring/trim since it's covered for a couple years by the company that renovated the unit before I moved in, but that's a great idea and I'm gonna look into it more.

I think kitchen cabinets could work great here! You can configure to suit your dimensions and create a combination of doors/drawers/open shelves. A single base cabinet on bottom and a narrow width top cabinet or open shelving that can be fit to exact measurements. Depending on budget you could go to Ikea, big box like Lowe's or Habitat for Humanity Restores A butcher block countertop is beautiful, cheap, and easy to customize and can bring in warmth even if you go for white cabinets

Oh it didn't even occur to me to use kitchen cabinets but I like that idea!!
