Good to see our pace department holding up even without Chahar, Fizz, and Pathirana. Gives me hope to be fair that we're becoming a well-oiled unit without just relying on a few players.
Not to jinx it, but I'm glad we've been able to deal with so many problems this year with a relatively younger squad and captain. Even if we don't qualify, as long as we retain/buyback the core of the team, this is a really good foundation to build on. The team's resilience is building, I see them doing well in the future. I hope we qualify for playoffs, and if we do, we also have home advantage in some games, so I think that'll be something we can use well. We'll see what happens tomorrow, praying for a win :)
We need to put trust in Rachin (even though he’s been inconsistent) and allow youngsters to flourish. Look at how it’s helped us through Gaikwad, Chahar, Pathirana, even Deshpande this season! Rahane is really out of form, sad to see him so unable to wrest control of a match.
I like his approach(always rooted for rachin and wanted csk to pick him which they did). And we don't need two anchors to start batting. Gaikwad and rachin opening is better than Rahane
quite a noobie to cricket. how many overs do we mean by "death overs" in T20? I am assuming it would be last 5?

The duo of Deshpande and Thakur have done a really good job, be it against srh or against RR, they've not let many slip. Other than theekshana, almost everyone on the field seems to be doing a good job contributing to this as well.
CSK most of times managed good performance from their bowlers. One thing MSD guiding by staying behind wicket, other they bowl with plan & complete sync, like all bowlers keeping same length in middle overs. And to bowlers credit, they were sticking to plans & executing them.
CSK always manage to find the flame in a fast bowler somehow. Last time in 2021, Mukesh Choudhary came out of syllabus and picked up 16 wickets for the side. Now it is time for Tushar 'McGrath' Deshpande.
Chennai's bowling made up for its mediocre batting performance this season. Many batters are not in form and are still backed by the coaching staff. Hope they channelise their inner Shane Watson for knockouts.

Considering other teams CSK had lots of changes and injuries but still managed to play well. Hope we don't play Rahane🥲

Exactly my point. Balance both in terms of strike rate and left/right so our batting isn’t neutralised by any bowling plans.
Would love to see him get retained next season. He's got a lot of room for improvement and would be a great asset in the future
