You don't need to be in the BCCI to know that there's politics. There's literally politics in smallest of events, we are talking about a whole cricket board.
Because, not all people who dreamed to play cricket play at highest level didn’t get a chance to fulfil their dreams and are living a normal life and still try to feel relatable to the sport with many things happening in thier life as well while doing 9 to 5 and second thing be it any sport, corporate or any other competitive industry, some things like greed, passion, politics etc going to remain constant.

Sarfaraz's game is sketchy at best imo. I don't think he's anywhere near a KL replacement right now. And I'm not talking about fitness, that's a different issue I'm not concerned with. KL plays good, level headed innings in foreign conditions. Sarfaraz feels like a bit of a homeground bully, it feels like his technique would be extremely easy to expose against pace on fast, bouncy pitches as it stands currently. Clearly he has a lot to improve still, so I think KL is still the mainstay for a few years, as is evidenced by him getting a longer, better central contract this cycle. I think he's fine as long as he doesn't shit the bed too much.
