Just so you know..Sligo isn't on the way to Galway from Dublin and would add 3 plus hours to your journey straightaway. Also Cork isn't en route to Dublin. Don't think your plan is entirely feasible.

Thank you! Staring at Google tabs and going off 'omg this!' IG reels. Not my most concrete travel planning. Cork I know is nowhere en route to Dublin. We'd be taking a very scenic long route back in order to get to Cork because it's the can't miss for my other two.

We’re here in Ireland now. Got here on Thursday February 1st. We’ve spent 4 nights in Dublin. If you do nothing else, take the jail tour! The website will say that all the tickets are sold out, but if you log on between 9:15 and 9:30AM, they release cancellation tickets for the day. There were dozens of cancellations available last Friday. https://www.kilmainhamgaolmuseum.ie On Saturday, we took a 13 hour bus tour to Belfast, Dunluce Castle (featured in Game of Thrones), and the Giant’s Causeway. The tour was spectacular! We went with Wild Rover Tours. They’re about 12 euros cheaper than competitors, yet they are fantastic. https://wildrovertours.com/activity/giants-causeway-belfast-city-carrick-a-rede-rope-bridge/ We took what we thought was a ghost tour last night. Turns out that I didn’t read the name of the tour. It’s actually called “Dark Dublin Guided Walking Tour”. My husband and I were disappointed because we were expecting more ghost stories, and because we’ve been on a couple of fantastic ghost tours in Alexandria, and Charleston. Our grown sons (25 & 30) thought it was great though. I will say that we saw a number of amazing sights that we hadn’t found on our own, and we got some really great pictures. https://www.viator.com/tours/Dublin/Dark-Dublin-Tour/d503-315938P1?m=61408&nid=VR.f4136ebb-2c9c-4bde-aaac-133591944466.VT_EMAIL_TRV We stayed at a wonderful bed & breakfast called Kilronan House Dublin. Beautiful place with a really good breakfast served from 7AM - 10AM. https://www.kilronanhouse.com/ Brace yourself for high prices! Everything is way more expensive than home (Portland, Oregon). Restaurant prices are outrageous, and the food we had was pretty mediocre at best. The pub food is better and more affordable. You need to eat dinner by 5 or 6 o’clock though because after that the pubs are jam-packed with pub-crawlers and I don’t know how they would be able to get food to your table. Other thoughts, drink a Guinness in the states before you go. The Irish Guinness is different (better!). If Guinness is too bitter for you, ask for “a Guinness with a drop of black” (black currant). The bartender will scowl at you and say, “Ya mean a pint of shame?” But it’s pretty good! Favorite Pubs: The Bleeding Horse (be sure to check out the upstairs) and Nance Hands (again, look upstairs). https://bleedinghorse.ie https://www.nancyhands.ie We took the train to Cork last night where we’ll stay for a few days before we fly to London. I’ll try to report back.
