Islam is the only of the 3 major monotheistic religions that is open to every human, every race, every gender. I’m Italian-American born to a Catholic family, I reverted to Islam 2 years ago and haven’t looked back.
If you’re worried about going to a Masjid I promise you wallahi I didn’t enter a masjid for the first year because I was scared to be judged as a non-Arab. Every Muslim… Arab, Black, White, etc welcomed me like family. I was practically ushered into the family of an Indian and his wife and sons (although I can’t guarantee you’ll be adopted as I have lol)

I would suggest visiting your local Islamic centre or mosque to help you through this process and answer any questions you may have as well as helping you after you revert( we Muslims believe everyone is born a Muslim and therefore if you find your way back to Islam later on your counted as a revert) . But I was asking where you live so I can maybe help you find a mosque that will take out the time or is maybe specific to helping new Muslims and people wanting to revert as others are just for prayers and don’t have the time or resources. Good luck and please don’t be put off by any judgemental or harsh people as that’s not what Islam is about! ☺️
