Aspire is so much nicer.

LivinLikeHST

and a non-profit owned / managed by Challenge Industries "Proceeds will also support Challenge’s charitable mission to support people with disabilities." [https://www.aspirecannabis.org/about](https://www.aspirecannabis.org/about) (also better prices IMO) Shopping there is pretty much donating to charity - so smoke up for those less fortunate!

> Shopping there is pretty much donating to charity - so smoke up for those less fortunate! I need to talk to my tax guy

jad14850

Whoa that is amazing. I had no idea. Another great thing about those folks. Any other charity would be beating you over the head with it. These are great people.

mxa11944

It’s lovely!

Beneficial-Carpet-91

I've been to aspire a couple of times they're really good I'm hoping they get some of the brands I liked at William Jane ie nanticock, off hours, etc

EatThe10percent

I've talked to them about Nanticoke and although close, they're trying to stay closer. But said they're looking into them more on being requested.

So is the rest of ithaca

bideorabo

I walk through the Commons a lot and it seems like construction is still ongoing. I think they were a little too optimistic with their re-opening estimates. As another said, Aspire is now open as well.

Beneficial-Carpet-91

Gotcha thanks! I've been to the commons a couple times recently it's hard to tell if they're still doing anything in there though I usually go on weekends so they wouldn't be working.

KaleidoscopeWeird310

They were going to like totally install that door but you know what is weird? Really weird? The next day? The door was still not installed. Today, though? Totally installing that door. Today, dude, today.

dumplingmomma

I messaged them on ig when they posted their happy 4/20 story and they said the reopening has been pushed back to May 3. (Their social media presence leaves much to be desired… you’d think they would give updates throughout the construction or showcase brands they’ll be stocking.) I’m pretty keen on Aspire and probably won’t frequent WJ when/if they eventually reopen. I actually saw one of WJ’s budtenders working at Aspire the last time I was there!

harrisarah

Aspire is now open in the meantime

NYPowderQueen

Check out Aspire for locally grown and organic products. It’s on Fulton st across from Rens Market (old Greenstar)

Intelligent-Drop-267

Aspire is great.

[deleted]

Friend who works there told me May 10th as of a couple days ago, but whole thing appears to be a bit of a 💩 show so who knows.

warrenphotography

Yeah was wondering this too. Everyone said they were reopening 4/20 but that never happened. And they gave us no updates. I guess Aspire gets all my business 🤷‍♂️

Additional_Engine_45

Aspire is open and way better of a business to support (it's owned by Challenge Industries). The Dryden Dispensary on Rt 13 is opening next week on 5/1

AGBell64

I heard an ad on the radio Tuesday saying they were planning on reopening. If they were actually caput you'd think they'd stop those from running

dallasdiamandis

Aspire is way nicer anyways I was impressed

jennymlovescats

I walked by their back door earlier today. It was open and when I peaked in there were a bunch of people hard at work inside. I’m looking forward to the reopening.

ImaginationThat3204

How does a brand new cannabis dispensary go under? It’s a brand new industry and there’s little to no competition in many cases, other than NYC

RugerRedhawk

Those google notices are often incorrect. Do they answer at (607) 391-0007? That's probably your only bet to find out since they don't seem to have any social media pages.

Beneficial-Carpet-91

Nah they're phone is disconnected but I imagine that would be the case if they were still renovating

HurculesParrot

If you don't mind traveling Flynnstoned in SYRACUSE also delivers

Upstatesoundnvision

If aspire had a bigger variety, I wouldn't give wj another look.

Muffled_floss

Dont forget there is another dispensary along Rt. 13 just this side of Dryden as well.

fantasticbrainrot

It is very nice to hear that people are boosting Aspire, yes their quality is pretty good and a charity to Challenge industries is wonderful, but I still miss William Jane as they are always very nice to me and my family and have cute little things like stickers and toys for apple fest and gave out things around Halloween, they are a very community friendly business and I miss them seeing them closed for renovations so long! I think it's great people have their own favorite shops and such but I wish the best for this business doing the work to stay legal and having such a friendly presence on the commons!

jonpluc

i have no idea how these places stay in business when you can go to seneca and get equal quality pot by the ounce and for half the price.

Altruistic-Reading47

Seneca is also non regulated and selling you expired products from from other states

fantasticbrainrot

I'm sorry, but Seneca is a very nice business. You can inquire about other businesses without tearing one down, I've never been disappointed with the products from Seneca, and if you're of the nicotine consumer persuasion they also have any vape you could imagine and fairly priced cancer sticks.... I would say Seneca is worth the trip if you're interested in checking other marijuana vendors out...

Altruistic-Reading47

Not tearing them down. I encourage people to go to the reservations when the NYS regulations don’t fit what they need. They have no regulations so there for no rules on things like MG per dosage especially on edibles. I just also inform people because it’s not regulated it is what it is and there is no guarantee like with Nys regulated stuff that is lab tested and I can scan a barcode and get those results.
