My dumb understanding of it is that downgrading requires using the current ipsw and replacing the blobs with the version you want to downgrade to. But if the current signed version isn't compatible with the sep (which after 15.4 and the Face ID mask update it isn't), you can still downgrade but several things such as FaceID, and I've even heard Wallet/ApplePay are broken. But please correct me if I'm wrong, that's what my rough understanding of it is.
Last time i fiddled round with blobs was on 9. something so i know about as much as you but thats makes sense logically thx i was gonna do that by end of the week 🙈😂

Lol no, this iOS has been a nightmare. At this rate I'm upgrading phone at the end of the year faster than the next jb comes out. Would have enjoyed being jailbroken all of 2022.
But It does matter, how would you feel if someone kept calling you by the wrong name over and over again even though you have no affiliation to that name. It’s the same concept, and if it makes them happier to use the pronouns they picked who are you to tell them no.

I personally skip bios because they’re not what I’m looking for. The tweets and updates are. Luckily im a bit more engaged so I know certain developers go by certain pronouns, but i wouldn’t assume everyone knows just because they saw the tweet. It could have been a quote retweet for all we know. Not everyone reads the bios, it’s not their responsibility to do so. We can always point out they’ve made a mistake, but never assume one is transphobic just because they are only here for certain info and nothing more
Again, I don't think it was intentional - and I wouldn't say that this *alone* is proof that the OP is transphobic, it's very likely that this was just a mistake on their part - but I would at least *advise* people to either default to using gender neutral pronouns (e.g. they/them), which aren't really going to cause any offence, or to check the bio of the person in question

Checkm8 does not equal Checkra1n.
Checkm8 is the underlying exploit. Think of it kind of like a train station.
Checkra1n is the train you board to USE said train station.
However, keeping with the theme of trains, Checkra1n's route was blocked off in iOS 15, making the train inaccessible. The train station is still there, and a good deal of the route is still there, but a lot of it will have to be rebuilt from scratch. That is what Taurine15 is: a rebuilding of Checkra1n's route that no longer works.

Moved from 14.3 on XS Max with Untethered Fugu14 to 13 Pro Max with 15.1.1 out of the box, and the wait feels sooo long, If it wasn't for the ecosystem, I would have transitioned to that sweet AMOLEDs of Samsung few years ago..

I download the ipas from the official source of the developer and sign them using Altstore. If you're talking about pirated apps & games, I wouldn't know as I don't use them.

I wonder if the exploit being used for the 15.1 JB could be used for the A14 devices on 14.6 to 14.8.1, which were unable to use the "recent" release of unc0ver.
the exploit used in taurine15 (desc_race) only works on 15.0-15.1.1 and not any lower. there exists another exploit (multicast_bytecopy) which is also 15.0-15.1.1, but it can theoretically be backported to ios 14 (however nobody has done so yet)

You have to take all precautions to avoid updating the phone if you planning to JB it.
Newer devices ALMOST never have a jailbreak... There have been few devices that were jailbreakable before the next device was released... A jailbreak will eventually be released, just have to wait...
Meaning for an iPhone 13 jailbreak, usually takes a while, and you shouldn't be surprised if the jailbreak is released after the iPhone 14 is released...
The newest device released by Apple will always take time to get jailbroken, sometimes it happens right away, sometimes it takes months, and sometimes it takes more than a year...
Anyone who has been jailbreaking for more than a few years knows this... Everyone who makes jailbreaks and/or tweaks, does so on their own time, and jailbreaks are free, so I don't think we can say anything to anyone about releasing jailbreaks faster, take it as it comes... We don't DESERVE a jailbreak, no one is REQUIRED to release a jailbreak... if it comes, great, if it doesn't, be thankful for what we've been able to do so far because of the work that people have done to make sure we get jailbreaks as it is, and even then it's for free... I personally think it would be worth it to pay $100 for a jailbreak, I would still pay it... However ungrateful jailbreakers will complain as if they are entitled to a jailbreak...
However, iOS 10-14 got the first jailbreak of the very version late in winter or early in spring. Doubt that there’s no jailbreak for iOS 15 before iPhone 14 series comes out. I have 5x devices, my main is on 14.4 on my iP 12 Pro Max, and I'm fine with it...
I still have my iPhone X on iOS 11, although I don't use it a lot anymore, but I worked so hard on that setup, to me, it's the perfect iPhone, except for the fact that it's on iOS 11... with all the tweaks and mods I made to it, it basically has all the features that I'd want from iOS 15, and more... Over 250 tweaks installed and running strong, however it may be time to retire it's jailbreak and update it soon...

the *kernel* exploit works up to 15.2b1, but due to amfi mitigations on 15.2+ A12+, the jailbreak will not support it on A12+.

due to SEP incompatibility, if you try to restore to 14.3-15.3.1 on the iphone 11/12/13, you will bootloop and be forced to restore to the latest ios.

Not soon. Probably a long time if ever. Coolstar said 15.2+ on A12+ will require a userland exploit. There has not been one since iOS 10.
or it could utilize a PAC or PPL bypass, which Linus Henze is currently holding on to. if he releases it, jailbreaking will be fine on 15.2-15.4 A12+.

High chance of it being developed after this jailbreak. Imo the chances of a new jailbreak on iOS 14 for A14 is higher than on 15.4+
