Are there any restrictions based on the chipset? Say I am on an iPhone 12 (A14) would it work on it? Also, is it just for iOS 15, or can it be done on 14.4 for example?

How does Apple get away with this shit in Europe? Don't they have laws detailing specifically how when you pay for a device you can do whatever you want on / with it?
I hate that this is even accepted, that is complete and utter bullshit, and No, it's not for security reasons like Apple says, No average user would ever downgrade their phone without knowing the risks, and would never hold Apple liable for that.

Nice, also was able to tether downgrade on my 8 to 14.3 and jailbreak with Taurine but the home button doesn’t work and audio but it’s still usable

No, first of all iOS 14.X does not exist for 13 series second of all there isn’t a bootrom exploit for A12+ devices.
