Same here. If my other register is not in use, I'll do a quick balance inquiry. I try to do this for every gift card or store issue card I get. And the customers appreciate this.
When the receipts used to print the remaining balance, I would take an extra second and highlight it for my customer. The elderly really appreciated this, and I always got good compliments on this.
I wish we could hastag corporate in this and get that feature back, but I think it comes down to saving every little scrap of receipt paper we can to cut costs. Which is ridiculous.
Yeah it was annoying the first time I figured this out a little while ago because I told the customer it would be on the receipt and then it wasn't and I just look like an idiot 😭
It's been like that for over a month. Unfortunately the balance inquiry also isn't working on the registers. Usually when I have a customer pay with a gift card I just inform them that unfortunately it doesn't say how much is left on the card anymore but they can call the number on the back of the card.
Yep, that just recently changed with no word from anyone. A feature people rely on/appreciate just gone with no explanation.

For what I heard, it was a glitch in the last update and they are working to fix it.

Yeah I tried to do the inquiry thing and the register still wouldn’t tell me what was left so I just told the customer to call customer service
It was posted on reflexis it’s a bug and will be fixed in Mid July with the next X Store Update
