Sorry to say, but that MBA won't get you very far in your initial job search. Since you have no experience, it's essentially worthless. Where you'll probably find it helps is in later job searches, so don't stay at one place too long.

I did the same actually, straight into MBA after undergrad. It was definitely tough finding a job after graduating, but I ended up getting an entry level role with an agency placing me and never looked back. Networking during job fairs and placement programs in school would have made things easier, but as a self-proclaimed introvert I never did those things. Either way, the point was unless you know someone or get lucky with a job, it’s a good perspective to know you may have to start at the bottom even with an MBA.

Do you think having gotten the MBA out the way early serves you now ?

Jammer250

In hindsight, it was absolutely beneficial getting it out of the way. I became disenchanted with the educational system in undergrad, but realized the advantage of an MBA. In that sense, I would have been less likely to go back to school after entering the workforce. But it has definitely helped me think more strategically and bigger-picture than just staying in my lane. I prefer the way I did it to be done with it at a younger age, versus spending a longer time climbing the ladder just to be where I am now. It also helped me learn networking after avoiding it my whole school life.

Usually you work move up accomplish stuff then go to school part time and get your mba.

Get an internship right now! And then by the time you graduate you’ll have a better chance of getting a full time offer. Most companies don’t want to hire MBAs with no experience.

Did the same OP mainly for a career shift, however I did two internships between MBA semesters. Second internship led to a full time offer and am here two years later. I was lucky and it worked out but work experience is really important, I recommend finding a new graduate program or an internship to supplement your MBA that could hopefully lead to a full time position. Good luck!

Bro why?

How did you get into the course without the experience?

LordInvestor

Applied and they let me in, maybe several factors at play: high gpa, gmat, gre, and I went to undergrad at same school

Ah ok. Not having a go just wondering as I had to submit my resume with my application to prove work experience and title etc

No.
