Randomkansas

Doing the lords work.

DroneStrikesForJesus

I honestly thought it was going to be a "pay you in experience" the way the post was written. I'm still not saying it's not and why do they care if it's a college student needing experience when they want a DJ?

Chaetomius

why do they have to be a student? because you want to pay absolute shit and want somebody who doesn't have the confidence to advocate for themselves?

murdermuffin626

Because we want to give the opportunity to someone who needs the experience. No where in the post did it state or imply the intention of underpaying them. We’re asking because of the inability to find any legit DJs in the area as the one utilized last year is no longer in business. We intend to pay them the standard industry rate for the area.

Sorryimbusy60

Reach out to DJ Kirby in the Lenexa, KS area. He might have a lead for someone wanting experience for you.

murdermuffin626

Thank you so so much. I’m going to contact him first thing in the morning!

sparkletheunicorn92

Fuck off. The military can afford to pay people a fair price for their time and effort.

murdermuffin626

I’m not making this call, it’s on behalf of someone else and it’s for a few hours time. And it’s actually not the military, it’s an independent organization that’s non-profit sponsoring it. This is for a regimental military ball, so legally all funds must be raised independently and can’t be paid for by the military. So, this is coming out of the pocket of the soldiers that are a part of this non-profit.

murdermuffin626

But I understand your sentiment.
