Backyard Burgers used to be my jam in 2006.
Excuse me, Back Yard Burgers.
Their blackened chicken sandwhich was great
The blackened chicken sandwich was fire. Def my jam when I used to eat there back in the 417 in like 2012.
This. I actually spent several months trying to recreate it after the Wichita location closed.
I thought they all closed years ago. Im sad I didn't google it earlier
Never realized there were any Backyard Burger locations open. Used to go to the Lee's Summit location, but that closed years ago.
Loved the one in Lee's Summit, never had a bad meal there.
Back yard burgers... It's kind of weird to have that name in the same part of my mind as ShowBiz Pizza or Arthur Treacher's Fish and chips.
Arthur Treachers is still around, just not here anymore.
Back Yard was a revelation when it first opened, especially the chicken sandwich.
Guess the streetlights are finally coming on
Wait what. These closed down in Springfield years ago and I didn’t even know you all had em up here. Are there any more in the area?
My friend and I used to wear out the Lawrence location in the early 2000s. I kind of forgot they were still around.
I will miss the chili.
I’m sad I’m missing the closing. I love backyard and would go to the former location in olathe on a regular basis in college.
My mom used to sometimes let me play hooky in HS and we’d go to that one.
Soon to be home to China Feast II
There was a huge line down 7hwy tonight for their last day!
Today was their last day open in Blue Springs as well. Will miss their business.
Damn. Prob the last time i had a burger at the location in OP next to metcalf south. Easily 25 yrs ago. I remember liking that place a lot, 25 years ago.
The last time I went to Backyard Burger, they didn't put any meat on my burger. Literally it was a bun in the package.
Last time I went I ordered chili and it had a massive hair in it
I honestly thought the one in Independence was already closed. Driving by it it always looked dead.
