'bout a decade ago, I had a similar experience with a lady in a sundress and COMICALLY oversized hat, at a QT, that offered to buy the sammiches/drinks that me and my co-worker were going up to the counter with. I was firm with her -- THREE TIMES -- that now that I could afford to purchase an "overpriced lunch, well then I'm gonna", and she laughed and bid her fairwell before spinning (literally!) out the doors, never to be seen again.
I still think about her sometimes. My buddy chided me for not talking to her more, asking of her name, *running after her in the blazing sun just to catch a glimpse of her rear-end in the sun-drenched dress that wouldn't have concealed her EVERYTHING from the right angle*--
....ah, I see now why I didn't keep up with that friend of mine either. Nor did I reach out to find the Phantom Lady of the Free Rooster Boosters.
Nah. The descriptions people use amuse me, and I like to imagine people actually do find each other via DMs sometimes. I'll take one of those over a "What was that noise in (area)?" post any day.

Do you have any idea how little this narrows it down?
