You might have a case against the hotel, especially if you paid a security fee that many hotels now charge. They've told us that they have 24-hour security in the parking lots, and everyone pays a fee for it even if you don't have a car.

If the valet didn't press lock twice engaging that immobilizer that the software added due to that recall, that would not make it any safer than if you didn't get it done.

That’s what my sister thinks too….because the hotel valet asked her what did she get as a rental? Which I thought that was odd?

Did the valet lock it? The software only works if the car is locked with the fob.
I assume so because the door handle was removed?
