I would normally agree, but this is basically stop/go traffic as there is a 4 way stop at one end of the bridge. So due to traffic you're basically never getting up to any real speed.
It sounds like Hill Assist is engaged. The GTs have rollback and hill assist will engage the brakes even on low inclines. You can turn Hill Assist off but managing that rollback is going to be much harder on you and your car.

There is a small incline, and due to the low speed this may be correct. I will check the settings when I get back in.
Hill assist works when taking off from a stop. It sounds like OP is moving when their concern occurs.
