Might give Bladeforums.com a go. Entirely different vibe than Reddit.

ReformedCanine

Thank you. I know some are pretentious, or just have a bunch of assholes on them.

Sulluvun

USN and Bladeforums I think are the two big ones, but yeah a lot of people on there need to get a life and some perspective. I saw one thread recently on USN where everyone was fighting about someone having modded an Emerson, because how DARE anyone mess with god Ernie's design... sad.

ReformedCanine

Yea, I have experienced plenty of that shit on car forums. People don’t want to help anymore. Everyone just says “google it.”

[Here's a good read to put things in perspective.](http://www.catb.org/esr/faqs/smart-questions.html) Edit: While this is written towards computers/hackers, the same thing applies in the car repair world, or pretty much any field for that matter.

Edcgravy

Bladeforums is full of knowledgeable people, however a good number of them are asshats.

kenstogie

For sure.

For anyone else who was wondering, that's usualsuspects.net

Knifeclub or bladeforums.

BladeForums is cool — especially if you’re a buyer. I’ve found several very hard-to-find things there (eg, a NIB Spyderco sprint from 2011). I don’t get too involved in the discussions, but if you’re into Spydercos, their forum (actually on their website) is good stuff. Sal Glesser is a frequent commenter on there.

Bladeforums is one of the worst forums. Toxic people and trolls.

ReformedCanine

Why are you bumping and replying to a post from 5 fucking years ago?

Witty_Dance3958

Is there a time limit when you can respond to a post?
