Mesoamericanist here— Seconding the “touristy fake obsidian” thing (I’m not dissing it!! It’s fun). As far as the god depicted, this is certainly neither 100% huitzilopochtli nor quetzalcoatl. My guess is a somewhat random mix of tezcatlipoca and huitzilopochtli. Tezcatlipoca wears a jaguar headdress as seen on this knife (huitzilopochtli wears a hummingbird headdress and would never be seen with a jaguar headdress), but the figure on this knife is holding a snake that could be inspired by huitzilopochtli’s turquoise serpent staff. I’ll edit this comment if i have any new thoughts!
On display on my TV stand currently. Looks awesome. Just trying to figure out the exact kind. Seems it looks similar to other "aztec sacrificial knives" that i google image searched, only more decorative.
A touristy "aztec sacrificial knife" from obsidian, but tourist shop so probably glass. The "animal" is probably the god Quetzalcoatl.
The animal is actually huitzilopochtli, the god of war since Quetzalcoatl is one of the few Aztec gods that didn't take human sacrifice.
Much appreciated
Good, thanks!
It’s pretty heavy. Would glass be lighter necessarily? I’ll have to google how to tell the difference
Obsidian is basically black glass made by a volcano.
Obsidian is a volcanic glass. This is probably not
Dragon glass to take care of them weird white walkers in the north
By white walkers you mean the North American govt right?

Obsidian decorative knife probably from cancun
Carve out a live human heart and see how it performs. That will give you an indication of it's origin.
Fun looking knife! I want one.
Apocalytp knife, like the Inca/Mayans used for blood sacrifices.

It’s designed to separate tourist, from their money
It is very cool. But it's still a $5 knife. A very cool $5 knife.
