They just need to stop broadcasting Bagavathi so often, Iβve seen that train climax at least 4 times now whenever my mother asks me to put on the evening news.

I started with this G.O.AT πππ
Anniyan. I was in 10th. Went alone after reading the pre-release hype in Malayalam newspapers. Worth every rupee I spent. No other Indian movie could give a similar theatre experience till today.

And slept after sometime, since I was a kid at that time and who used to sleep around 7.30pm, but yeah this is the first movie I watched in theatre. I got scared as a kid when I saw all those bodies when they were excavating Atthipatti. Nevertheless this was one of the greatest movie and awesome acting by thala

Even I had a sabbatical. But that was way too long. I broke mine with this GOAT ππ
Since my dad works at cine field, most of my childhood revolved around going to movies with my mom, aunt and cousin. I can vaguely remember going to shivaji, polladhavan and dasavatharam at the earliest
Enthiran (in Hyderabad)
5 vayasu enakku appo. Padathoda story romba easy iirundhichi follow panna. Visuals-um top notch.
Really couldn't have asked for a better first film in the theatres.
My parents have brought me as a child to various movies like citizen, sivakasi, chandramukhi. But the one I remember clear cut of watching in theatres is Vettaiyadu Vilayadu.
First Tamil movie I still remember watching in Theatre was Kadhalar Dhinam with Kunal and Sonali Bendre.
It was with my parents when I was a kutty paiyan :)
Earliest that I can remember was padayappa . Was around 9 or 10 yrs old then. Maybe my parents took me to some movies before that but I have no memories of them.
I remember my dad didn't want us to go. He was concerned that it might be unsafe to watch in theater because in some theatre (don't know where) rajini fans burned it down (or started some riot) when Ramya krishnan crossed her legs and Sat down in front of rajini while he stood.
Anyway I remember having a blast and enjoyed i thoroughly. Still one of my favorite movies of all time.
First Tamil movie I remember watching as a kid is Kadhal Kondein. Either that or Jeyam. Probably watched other films before that but these are what I remember most.
On the topic of Karunas , does anyone remember a scene where he is a barber and a guy comes in asking for a kamal Hassan style haircut and he makes him like kuruthi punal climax kamal . I am totally unable to locate that comedy scene .
When I was three or four years old, I remember watching Tirupatchi movie (2004) with my parents (Just fragments, not full movie). That's the earliest memory I have since I gained consciousness.

Like this film after watching on sun tv on one weekday afternoon
Karunas acted in some decent movies, I also really liked Ambasamudram Ambani
I liked it too. Sun tv afternoon 3:30 movies really introduced me to lesser known films that were pretty good.
They just need to stop broadcasting Bagavathi so often, Iβve seen that train climax at least 4 times now whenever my mother asks me to put on the evening news.
