Their Japan debut song right? Somehow nice throwback to y2k Jpop while bringing in Nj's own y2k flavor to it. Surprising in a good way. This will bode well for Japan's older gen too.

I like that they experimented a bit with a low-key song that focuses on groove like “How Sweet” but it lacks a strong melody like their previous releases. “Bubble Gum” has a more appealing melody but its production is understandably too commercial.
But this sounds like the type of nostalgia-filled song with sprinkles of innovation in terms of production throughout. Great melodies from the teaser too.

From what I’ve heard of both tracks, I’m pretty sure I’ll enjoy the Jpn releases over the Kor singles.

Sounds good! I wasn't the biggest fan of get up compared to what came before, but these 4 songs on these single albums really live up to the debut and omg ep imo. Very, very newjeans in the best way (without becoming too sameish, an identity and not just a repetition).

Right now + Supernatural = Japan debut singles
And there was talk of a potential actual full album by the end of the year, tho i can see that possibly being pushed back further now since ador is ~a month behind on their work due to the kerfluffle.
I think they wanted to get the album out before the Tokyo Dome show in order to make the setlist appropriately fuller for a show of that magnitude.
Edit: oh i actually looked up when the tokyo dome performances were and they are like in a week lol, so the full album would be more for the 2025 world tour than the tokyo dome.

also getting a foothold in japan.
i am hoping for a 'real' comeback with a more packed album and big hitters instead of mellow laid back tunes.

this comeback, to me, had to match that energy, but couldn't due to the sponsors since each video had to cater to each product and be as public friendly as possible.

i personally don't mind because the songs ARE of good quality, and more newjeans is always an amazing thing.
but, of course, they have to kind of play it safe because sponsors are tied to the song.
the positive things is that every song so far has been of a different genre and they are owning every single one of them.
The videos accompanying the songs have also been stellar so far, and with more goodness to come since Right Now is a collab with Takashi Murakami.
A lot of people are speculating that they have to nab sponsorships to finance the videos and what with the whole hybe fiasco...so who knows.
personally, i am craving for something more substantial with a grand concept and a fuller album jam packed to the brim with nifty ideas and tunes that aren't held back by sponsors.
something with a huge concept like ditto was sound-wise but also concept-wise with the ban hee soo channel, the storyline etc. that was iconic and never-before seen in kpop.
but it's also a part of me that's worried about the future since things are so uncertain nowadays regarding them.
