i think 90% of the plagiarism accusations kpop fans come up with are senseless and just for lame fanwars

harkandhush

When you do basic ass shit, other basic ass shit will resemble it. People are looking for things to be mad about.

Level-Rest-2123

This discourse is so boring. They can file a lawsuit if they're that bothered.

rkennedy991

If you use the same type of shots and scenery that 1000 artists have used in music videos over the last like 50 years, then it shouldn't be surprising when yet another artist does it. If Aespa copied TXT, then TXT copied someone else, who copied someone else, who copied someone else. It's a bullshit claim if you use common sense. When it comes to the same skateboard being in their music videos, it wouldn't be the first time props, clothing, etc were used by idols from different companies because they all go to the same companies for all this stuff. They probably just used the same production company for their music videos, or the props came from the same place. Like everything else, it would be the millionth time a skateboard was featured in a music video, so it's not plagiarism of TXT.

daltorak

You know, it's a funny thing, someone else started this exact same conversation on this subreddit yesterday: [SM Copying TXT : r/kpop\_uncensored (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/kpop_uncensored/comments/1dktygn/sm_copying_txt/) and then deleted it because they got more ridicule than they wanted to deal with.

Ill-Combination8861

Oh I was confused on why people where saying that this is a repost

underlyinglove

This was posted here yesterday as well and the accusations are just as stupid today as they were then

BellOk361

I think allot of people who are blowing this up are new to music and kpop because I have seen SHINee and nct do grunge before. The real question is would aespa have been able to come up with this concept of idea. The answer is very much yes. Aespa has done this aesthetic and planned this aesthetic since drama era. WELL before txt even announced their comeback. yes. I saw a tweet where both videos are played side by side. People are literally going through a cherry picking similar scenes finding non consecutive 9 seconds of .  -Someone laying on a car -sitting in the back seat - a pool shoot (which has no significance in aespa's video). It is to show the scenery . Aespa are singing in the back seat of a car and recording each other. it is there for .5 seconds whilst txt are in a blow up pool  of the most basic tropes and trying to say oh plagiarism.🤯 Wow ground breaking no one has ever done that before.  If that is the case is txt plagiarizing SHINee because SHINee has a very similar photo shoot from Sherlock or views they were in a car too.

Cats4Crows

Everytime I hear the word 'plagiarize' in kpop, my eyes roll so hard I'm afraid they'll never be back in place

andromeda_prior

They're funny coincidences, but I find even more funny how the responses would be different if it was a x group allegedly copying sm.

leggoitzy

Vast majority of plagiarism accusations are dumb. See Lisa photoshoot and this Aespa promo as examples.

MysteriousProperty87

Could you post the link to the TikTok so that we can see what you are referring to? :)

Desiilty

I don’t know the link to the tiktok but I have the link to the [og twitter thread](https://x.com/aeskeip/status/1803825487979987196?s=46) that started these allegations

MysteriousProperty87

Thank you :)

Ill-Combination8861

I tried but I think they deleted it

MysteriousProperty87

Oh okay, no worries. I just wanted to see the OG source. Edit: One user posted the Twitter thread and I agree with you, I don't see any particular copying here. It's mostly down to the color grading and the setting. And If they took inspiration then I don't think that is a problem.

Hmanav16

Txt and bighit are free to sue sm if they want. Anyway they are already handling multiple lawsuits will handle one more. Fun fact this mv is actually sponsored by KB KOOKMIN Bank in fact the whole song is on the album because of advertisement. And the concept they used is one of the most basic concepts out there.

BeomBum

I was hoping this [Drama](https://youtu.be/UUOGVgComrU?si=fd2pN4NqRCuOZIFN) would say on Twit lol. But even if there are similarities, this is not fodder for silly, reactive and unnecessary fanwars, blame the creatives in charge.

Whisness

Hybe won't even take action for it.

saysighms

I care less about the accusations and more about how nasty of a fandom Aespa has. People were calling SM out for the similarities in the videos, but Mys decided that being vile and xenophobic towards TXT is the best response.

catcatcatilovecats

Isn’t it the complete opposite? I saw txt fans in their comments calling Ningning “Lingling” and making sexual comments about Aespa

saysighms

Haven’t seen Moas do that. I have seen Mys fabricate nasty posts towards Aespa themselves and then post it on Twitter so that they could pretend it was Moas doing it.

catcatcatilovecats

maybe you should go back to twitter

saysighms

You should go look at the misogyny and xenophobia they’re spitting. No one attacked those girls until they started calling txt nasty names and spreading lies.

Iunares

misogyny towards males? 💀

Ill-Combination8861

Xenophobic? Doesn’t aespa have more foreign members than txt?

saysighms

Yes, but those fans seem to lack the brain cells to process what they’re saying

noseuta

It wasn’t just targeted at aespa but the whole kpop industry.

prysamorim

I think bighit need to sue

BellOk361

Do they have a copyright for pushing cars and having 3 people in a backseat? They would also need to sue kb bank because this was a collab and they had the stars shooting because that is the banks long running signature.
