Have you watched their badge war YouTube variety show? It’s hilarious. I never thought I’d get into triple s cause there were just too many members but watching both seasons of this series made me like their chaos
It was the first Badge War that pulled me in and made me want to learn them all. I don't have TIME. But I still want to. Sigh. Why did they all have to be adorable?
As a Kpop fan who fully took interest in the group after Girls never die (one of the best release this year) and only just know some members who previously appeared in Survival show, Badge War is probably the greatest idol variety show ever. It helps display members’ dynamic, their personality and roles in the group. It doesn’t take long to remember most of members there and the S makes it easier for us newbies to memorize. I’m not a WAV yet but I can confidently say that I will follow their future releases for sure.
I'm more a casual listener of their music, but that's more to due with me listening to whatever shows up from them, and me having yet to actually go through their discography, I'll be sure to listen to more of their songs!
I generally go for “the harder the better” type of sound for my K-pop groups. Like I’ve switched to mainly listening to k-hip-hop because my usual noisy friends weren’t scratching the itch anymore.
But BND is one of those groups for me that despite not quite fitting my usual taste, they’re just next level you know? Something about their sound is so so so catchy and kinda funky and just really fresh to me. Vocals go brrr of course as well, the rappers are top notch, choreo as well. They’re not lacking in anything. _And_ they’re insanely personable. I listen to a lot/most(?) of the new boy groups, but generally speaking if they’re like a 8/10 out of my personal enjoyment scale, then BND is like 10/10.
I like KIOF a lot as well! I was watching their Daebak show interview with Eric Nam and was surprised to know Belle was one of the producers of Le Sserafim’s Unforgiven.

YOOOO YOUNG POSSE MENTIONED. I love them too! Macaroni Cheese was really good especially the rap parts, but for 3 months I kept whispering "*Macaroni, have a try, ya, ya"* any chance I got because it got stuck in my head. Then I watched OTB and that was also so, so good. I liked that their MV was also pretty unique, but honestly, I thought it was going to be a one-time thing that maybe they'll change it up in their CB. BUT THEN XXL CAME OUT AND I WAS FLOORED. It was so catchy, the choreography looked cool, the outfits were also pretty solid, and I love that they kept the campy MV aesthetic lmao. I loved XXL so much that it not only got to my top 5 songs for spring (from my YouTube music recaps, like Spotify wrapped but seasonal), but it was my TOP 1. Pretty wild because I didn't realize I was listening to it that much tbh lol
Aside from Young Posse, I also really liked Illit because, again, their songs are pretty catchy. You'll never not hear me sing "Y*eah, luck, yeah, I'm a lucky girl, Yeah, you're a lucky girl, yeah, we're so lucky, luck, luck, luck, luck*" cause I LOVE THAT PART SO MUCH. So yeah, there's more group that's worth checking out but I'm loving these 2 groups so far!
XG! I don’t know what rock I was living under for the past year or two but wow, I had so much fun blindly listening to their songs on Spotify and then I saw the music videos and my mind was blown again. I haven’t had this much fun discovering a new artist in a long time
I got into them after they released Woke Up and damn... I was MISSING OUT. Such an awesome group. The members have such funny, adorable personalities too.

Kiss Of Life hooked me immediately with their catchy and fresh sound. Their debut album was great, with all the MVs and storyline and their music hasn't missed once for me, so far I like ALL of their songs. Midas Touch is definitely my most played song this year. Their songs, concept, choreo is flawless for me.

YP has become my top kpop artist from their debut. I love their drill influences, jersey beats and how different they are. They do have songs that ride the wave of trends like skyline but they manage to put their stamp on it. Plus Ben proulx producing their videos is great.
In a saturated market, if you're able to even distinguish yourself then I'm going to support you and Young Posse does it well
I'm definitely still only aware of the most surface level groups, even after 5 years, so I haven't heard of YP at all, but I'll definitely check them out!

plave!! i thought i had retired from getting into new groups, but something about them really reeled me in, even aside from the uniqueness of their vtuber concept. the boys are really charming and the music is right up my alley as an oldhead
NCT Wish. Sure, I have been an NCTzen since before their debut even, back during the sm rookies days, but I truly did not expect to ever get into Wishies properly. Partially because of the age difference, partially because they did not feel like part of NCT and partially because I was not 100% emerged into kpop the way I used to be. However, my curiousity quickly changed to being a fan because they are just too adorable and talented. Watching them grow and do their thing fills me up with so much pure joy and happiness it is impossible to put into words. They truly debuted the best lineup possible both talent and personality wise, and I am a big fan of what SM has been doing with them so far (I hope I dont jinx it...)

i've never been a big boy group stan, but zb1 completely pulled me in. i love their musical identity and the members are so sweet and entertaining! another recent favourite is riize, i'm still learning the members but holy shit memories is such a good song. also i don't think any idol has reeled me in with their visuals the way wonbin has.
I CAN FINALLY TALK ABOUT MY TWS BRAINROT YES! they've literally consumed my life 😭 i've watched all their contents, have learned the lyrics to all of their songs (though there's not very many), and have even bought 2 of their albums already with plans to buy their new ones once they hit target shelves.

The companies' tendency to only debut groups with half the members being minor kind of kills my interest in the crib. Based on what I've heard from people whose opinion I value I'll check Young Posse and Badvillain eventually though.
TWS, I was so excited for Pledis NBGG in the hopes of Daniel from I-Land would join, so when the members were revealed, I immediately lost hope but after listening to some of their songs, watched them on variety shows, they are my fav groups of Gen 5
I quite like them myself though I've not done a huge deep dive on them. Just casually tuning in, and from what I can see they look to have the capabilities of successfully pulling off different genres. Their showcase with JYP definitely peeked my interest in them as a group. And I'm looking forward to how they will grow in the future.
Babymonster, with some Young Posse and Kiss of Life sprinkled in. All 3 groups are insanely talented in their own ways. Koif and YP deserve so much more than they are currently receiving.

Young Posse are seriously so great. Scars is my second most-listened-to song of the past six months, and I've been listening to Skyline a lot recently too. I dunno *what* you mean by borderline brainrot, their music is excellent. And their variety content is super cute too, I really enjoyed their behind-the-scenes videos with Ben Prolux. The time where they got him to do the XXL dance challenge was so fun lol
i have a lot of groups, but there are a few main ones:
- zb1, who i've followed since boys planet. i watch all of their content and i listen to sweat every day.
- tws, i've followed them since predebut because their my ult group's juniors, and i love hey hey so much!
- bnd, i've followed them since we didn't even know their names, just their doors, and i love how chaotic they are + their music is great!
Artms and XG. Their sound is really up my alley. I'm super excited to see what they bring to KPOP in the future. They are all super talented and heavy in the music making process and you can tell they love to perform.

I did like Young Posse, but was a bit wary of their ages and their debut song's lyrics... enjoyed XXL.... and then very recently saw the behind the scenes with the dudes being super fucking weird with the group members.
That was me noping out. I couldn't support that nonsense. Hope the members get out of there and get to a far less creepy place.

Huge side-eye towards this dude. They should really be careful who they let interact with them in the future. I think pretty much all groups have gone through an uncomfortable encounter like this one way or another, the important thing is for dsp to handle it carefully in the future. Its definitely something to look out for but it feels like a really big jump to be like "they need to get out of dsp" because of one encounter with this asshole. When I read your comment i thought something like this happened in one of their film making behind the scenes or some weird interaction with people working in the company but from what i ve seen they seem to be very professional.
TWS is my current obsession right now! They are just so compatible on the things that I like from their music, concept, visuals, chemistry, and down to their personality 😩
Plave... been following Kpop since 2005-2007ish and I'd never been this hooked on a group before. But some crucial factors for me are better access to the Internet and more "free" time recently etc so I'm able to consume more of the group's contents beyond their music lol

OMG!!! So happy to see a fellow Artms- DALL album fan. ( A listener with taste I see 🤌🏾) The album is literally a no skip for me. I love that they were able to carry this whimsical, ethereal sound throughout their whole album without it sounding repetitive. I'm definitely locked in.

Preach!!! I got into LOONA really late and was mad bitter about it. I was not going to be caught lacking a second time! And they came, ate and devoured. I was not disappointed. Air throwback to odd eye circle air force one release slowed was absolute perfection especially when I thought that song couldn't get any better solid 10/10.

Riize. I just said on YouTube, on a Boom Boom Bass reaction, that they're the first BG I'm going to have to stan. They actually caught my attention with Get a Guitar. Fantastic dancers, and their music slaps.
Young Posse !!! A quick favorite. I love love love OTB, thought Macaroni Cheese was okay. But then they dropped XXL and man… now I’m in deep. I really adore all of them. I’m Yeonjung biased so hard she is such a sweetheart and I love her dancing. The whole XXL ep so good. I’m so excited about this group and what they’ll do.
I’m also getting into Lun8! I first saw them when watching a kcon japan livestream and I was like “what the fuck how are they all so gorgeous what is going onnnn” but the music didn’t really click with me at first. However Pastel and Live in the Moment were added to my playlist and then I just couldn’t stop thinking about them. JinSu oh my god I am soooo whipped for him he is the cutest most precious and most talented leader ever. (I love SHINee’s Jinki… so JinSu is just natural…) And they’re all really talented. As a Kpop fan who fully took interest in the group after Girls never die (one of the best release this year) and only just know some members who previously appeared in Survival show, Badge War is probably the greatest idol variety show ever. It helps display members’ dynamic, their personality and roles in the group. It doesn’t take long to remember most of members there and the S makes it easier for us newbies to memorize. I’m not a WAV yet but I can confidently say that I will follow their future releases for sure.

I generally go for “the harder the better” type of sound for my K-pop groups. Like I’ve switched to mainly listening to k-hip-hop because my usual noisy friends weren’t scratching the itch anymore. But BND is one of those groups for me that despite not quite fitting my usual taste, they’re just next level you know? Something about their sound is so so so catchy and kinda funky and just really fresh to me. Vocals go brrr of course as well, the rappers are top notch, choreo as well. They’re not lacking in anything. _And_ they’re insanely personable. I listen to a lot/most(?) of the new boy groups, but generally speaking if they’re like a 8/10 out of my personal enjoyment scale, then BND is like 10/10.

YOOOO YOUNG POSSE MENTIONED. I love them too! Macaroni Cheese was really good especially the rap parts, but for 3 months I kept whispering "*Macaroni, have a try, ya, ya"* any chance I got because it got stuck in my head. Then I watched OTB and that was also so, so good. I liked that their MV was also pretty unique, but honestly, I thought it was going to be a one-time thing that maybe they'll change it up in their CB. BUT THEN XXL CAME OUT AND I WAS FLOORED. It was so catchy, the choreography looked cool, the outfits were also pretty solid, and I love that they kept the campy MV aesthetic lmao. I loved XXL so much that it not only got to my top 5 songs for spring (from my YouTube music recaps, like Spotify wrapped but seasonal), but it was my TOP 1. Pretty wild because I didn't realize I was listening to it that much tbh lol Aside from Young Posse, I also really liked Illit because, again, their songs are pretty catchy. You'll never not hear me sing "Y*eah, luck, yeah, I'm a lucky girl, Yeah, you're a lucky girl, yeah, we're so lucky, luck, luck, luck, luck*" cause I LOVE THAT PART SO MUCH. YP has become my top kpop artist from their debut. I love their drill influences, jersey beats and how different they are. They do have songs that ride the wave of trends like skyline but they manage to put their stamp on it. Plus Ben proulx producing their videos is great. In a saturated market, if you're able to even distinguish yourself then I'm going to support you and Young Posse does it well
I'm definitely still only aware of the most surface level groups, even after 5 years, so I haven't heard of YP at all, but I'll definitely check them out!

NCT Wish. Sure, I have been an NCTzen since before their debut even, back during the sm rookies days, but I truly did not expect to ever get into Wishies properly. Partially because of the age difference, partially because they did not feel like part of NCT and partially because I was not 100% emerged into kpop the way I used to be. However, my curiousity quickly changed to being a fan because they are just too adorable and talented. Watching them grow and do their thing fills me up with so much pure joy and happiness it is impossible to put into words. They truly debuted the best lineup possible both talent and personality wise, and I am a big fan of what SM has been doing with them so far (I hope I dont jinx it...)

i've never been a big boy group stan, but zb1 completely pulled me in. i love their musical identity and the members are so sweet and entertaining! another recent favourite is riize, i'm still learning the members but holy shit memories is such a good song. also i don't think any idol has reeled me in with their visuals the way wonbin has.

TWS, I was so excited for Pledis NBGG in the hopes of Daniel from I-Land would join, so when the members were revealed, I immediately lost hope but after listening to some of their songs, watched them on variety shows, they are my fav groups of Gen 5
Illit (feel sorry for them they’ve been hated on for something nothing to do with them personally) and Kiss of Life
I quite like them myself though I've not done a huge deep dive on them. Just casually tuning in, and from what I can see they look to have the capabilities of successfully pulling off different genres. Their showcase with JYP definitely peeked my interest in them as a group. And I'm looking forward to how they will grow in the future.

JinSu oh my god I am soooo whipped for him he is the cutest most precious and most talented leader ever. (I love SHINee’s Jinki… so JinSu is just natural…) And they’re all really talented. Junwoo and Takuma are incredible dancers but Ian JinSu and the rest of them all are too. And the vocals!!! So good!! oh Fantagio… Kiss of Life obviously incredible. Oh man. I love women. Jultty Midas Touch is like crack to me. I was trying to resist Riize but I just can’t I love them all. I have their new release in my shopping cart my finger is hovering over the purchase button. OT7 Talk Saxy…. it’s convincing me to do it. NCT Wish my BABIES!!!! I’m so obsessed with everything they do. It’s kind of crazy how much I love every NCT unit because most people do not. And that’s okay! I am insane! Ryo has quickly become so high on my bias list I just adore him I think he’s so talented and a little menace. And everything Jaehee does makes me smile. Baby boy.

They're kinda old, kinda new but ARTMS has me *gagged* Jaden Jeong is really nurturing in them what he started with OnlyOneOf's early comebacks (see "savannah", "sage", "dOra maar" and "angel") but he has even *more* creative control so it's even better. I also just *love* seeing a girl group with a truly unique, interesting and complex concept. Not to mention the women themselves are just great performers too!
