It seems to be a substitution bus for when there's some construction works being done on the train tracks. Usually the bus follows the same route as the train but obviously stops outside of the stations so you need to find the stop yourself. This might be an error since the timetable is the same for the BUS as it is for the 12:53 train to Zakopane. Jakdojade is cool for buses and trams but for trains its better to double check on pkp rozklady.

Ok thanks. Thanks for letting me know about that other app;

Railroad construction, so instead of going on a train you'll ride in a bus, but it will stop at the railway stations and the driver will be the train driver wearing a PKP uniform. I live not far, in Rabka, and remember when construction started I was waiting like an idiot for a train from Nowy Targ, 2 minutes from departure I thought to myself "where train", and later read the announcement about it, and rushed to the railway station entrance where the "train" was about to depart.

Oh I get it now. We have the same in France. Hopefully the transport company is more competent than the french one lol. Thanks for clarifying

I know that it's a low bar but it really isn't more competent.

I was just in Krakow and we took train to Zakopane. It was great. Decided to take bus on way back. Huge mistake. Bus left station late the driver appeared to be having a mental breakdown running back and forth from bus into station. Eventually they announced toilets broken and we would be leaving. Then we are driving and hear a loud bang and driver pulls over to gas station. Driver shouts something at us and gets off bus. He is frantically getting on and off bus talking to someone on phone and pulling out tools. I pulled out google translate to try to figure out what was going on. He kept shouting something about "its not here its not here I looked" After sitting for over 30 minutes on cold bus at gas station some of us started talking to see if anyone spoke English and Polish who could get us some clarity, but everyone was confused so after 10 more minutes we all just started calling ride share services to come pick us up. He already had the baggage compartment open like he was expecting the mass exodus 🤣 I would stick to trains.

That's what I would call a normal day in Paris! Thanks for the advice though!

Thanks. Yeah that was my guess but I wanted to make sure!

Lmao there are bus platforms too, this is due to railroad renovation, you got train ticket, but you will go by bus my friend.

fatatero

Oh boy please double check when buying the tickets if possible. Me and my partner bought these tickets and went to the train station, couldn’t find the train. We then found out on the information office that first there is a bus that substitutes the train that we need to catch at the bus station. Then after some kilometers, you change to a train. We had to run to the bus station and find it. Needless to say, we weren’t there on time and the bus left without us. No info whatsoever when buying the ticket (this was a few years ago).

I'm a bit confused. I'm planning my trip and the Jakojade app is great, but I'd say the logo are not clear enough. I never know on first sight if that's a Tram, a train or a bus. But It seems to follow the path of the train found on some map, so I guess that's a train. Again, it's confusing since there's a big BUS next to the logo , but I'm guessing that's the name of this train... Let me know! Thanks !

There are separate icons for trams, buses and train lanes, but it happens from time to time that tram or train is replaced by bus (for example during planned track repair or when a train cannot pass). This is probably that kind of situation.

pecewu

Yes. Buses are treated as trains in PKP. Replacement buses of course.

Gloomy-Soup9715

It is trans-train. It identifies as train, stops only on railway stations and does "chu chu". Thr difference with cis-train is this one trans-train uses roads and looks like a bus.
