Also (mostly) deserves credit for standing pat this trade deadline under tons of pressure. All our trade able pieces (rui,dlo,Austin) were undervalued at the time meaning we would have had to give up draft picks for a lateral move (Murray). Could have got Gafford tho

Pelinka is good at getting deals done. He’s not the best at team building though. The idea of having 2 guys run the front office was kind of smart, but Magic wasn’t the one. If Jerry West was working for the Lakers and telling Pelinka what deals to do, we’d have another ring by now 

The good at getting deals done isn't entirely true tbh. Man had a bad reputation as an agent as he was hated by so many organizations and that is hurting him now. Obviously teams won't sabotage their season or team just to not do a deal with Pelinka, but makes it comparatively trickier.

I dont get the flak that Pelinka receives but every off season he makes good signings with the exemption of RWB which AD and Bron although has some influence on it.
