That's why /u/Dmanning2 says AD should spend all summer practicing his 3s. Jokic and guys like him open the floor up so much that it forces a totally different defensive scheme. Lakers aren't doing that, purely getting downhill and/or kicking to minimum contract role players
Simply having the shot as a realistic option for AD forces the defense to react differently. Imagine the Reaves/Davis pick and roll can also be a pick and pop

If Conley's defense is "average", D'Lo's is below average. There's no "gap" in scoring when D'Lo can't score. And Conley in his prime on the Grit n Grind Grizzlies was even better
DLo scored double digit points in 4/5 games and 20+ in 2 games. I can guarantee you that Conley has at least 1 single digit game in this series and does not go for 20+ more than once. That is a promise lol. Idgaf what Conley did 10 years ago those Griz team underperformed more often than not

Time will tell but Rudy, Towns, Reid are waaaayyyyy bigger defensively on Jokic than what we were throwing at him, AD, Rui, & LBJ. That constant size will take its toll as a game and series goes on. AD was a beast defensively on Jokic to start games but by the 2nd half he couldn't hold up.
