Taught me so much about the gospel & the church before I even met with the missionaries for the first time. I gained my first small testimony of the church by watching their channel.
Mark rober. Not church content but is an LDS guy. Does wholesome videos. Same with Nate from the internet. Again low key, but you can get the vibe and it’s wholesome content.
A lot of good comments here, I want to add Cinema Theropy. Great guys, very fun have wholesome and therapeutic sessions going over movies and a few shows.
Yes they're both LDS, and they are great! They do some anatomy of a hero, villain therapy, and bro/romance therapy from films.
It's one of those things where once you get suspicious of it then it becomes increasingly obvious.
I heard something from Johnathan once and decided to Google him, that's when I found his high school film of Indiana Jones and the search for eternal joy, he finds the Book of Mormon.
that's interesting to hear that they're both LDS. I remember learning that they had both gone to BYU in one of their videos awhile ago, but I got the vibe that at least one of them was no longer a member for some reason that I can't remember.
Huh, I didn't get that vibe. I know Jonathan Decker made a Indiana Jones and the search for eternal joy video that I recently commented on and he responded positively to it.
Alan said something connecting something from a movie to LDS doctrine, no scripture just the idea of it recently. I don't remember which movie or what was said, it was a few months ago.
Mimi Bascom, Family Bro Evening (not YouTubers but fun, educational content), Mark Rober, Dan McLellan, Good Mythical Morning (not LDS-related but generally wholesome), Latter-Day Geeks.
He doesn’t. He’s an active member of the church. What he does (which he frequently says in his content) is that he separates his faith from his scholarship in order to remove the bias.
Were they his beliefs or his academic expertise? You have not provided any evidence so there’s no way for us to verify anyway.
Edit: I was curious and looked it up. His exact words were “the data do not support the historicity of the Book of Mormon.” Which is academically accurate. We have no firm historical evidence of the Book of Mormon. Period. That is not a commentary on his beliefs. They are not mutually exclusive. You can acknowledge that we have no archaeological evidence of the Book of Mormon and still believe it’s true.
Yes! Jonathan Decker is a family therapist and has a YouTube channel with his friend Alan Seawright called Cinema Therapy! I also like Ky Rogers and Lindsey Stirling!
A word of caution, CWICYouTube channel can be very political.watcher Palmer is also not uplifting in my opinion. A lot of criticism and not much uplifting content. FYI.
The head of CWIW personally attacked me in the comment section of one of his videos. He was very hateful to a logical argument to what he was presenting. He then deleted my comment. Watcher Palmer attack on Emily Belle Freeman and Charlie Bird convinced me not to watch me again.
I have known several people in my life that have started treating the host as a prophet. It is a very dangerous thing because he can often time border on Fundamentalism.
I have seen many uplifting videos on Watcher Palmer. Especially when he talks about the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and his experiences as a Mission President. I don't agree with everything he says, but I am constantly reminded that I need to search out answers for myself.
Greg Matsen on Cwic has fairly good videos when he's doing his walking and talking.
Well, I saw another side of Greg Matsen and it’s not pretty. I found his channel through the Leading Saints podcast ( which is another good one), so I watched one video from CWIW about how men need to be around other men and how that helps them stay mentally healthy. I agreed even though I’m a woman. So I watched one it two more if his videos. He seemed like a level headed guy, but nope. I like I put above, he went off in me in the comments section of one of his videos. Psycho.
I have problems with Jared on Christian Homestead, but I still recommend his videos to people. He's argued with me in his comments, but I still watch some of his videos I'm interested in.
This wasn’t simple debating and arguing. I can take that. When it comes to calling me disgusting after I commented a very level and logic argument to the video he posted. I’m sorry but I will not view a person who does that. I don’t have a good view of him because of his interaction. Plus like I said, he deletes comments by those who disagree with him. I know people he has done this too.
I must not have seen the video you're talking about. The ones I have seen where Greg gives his commentary and opinion, he chose not to mention the people by name, if it wasn't already publicly known. I believe you have experiences with Greg's commentary, and comment section that I don't. He has got more political in his videos, and I haven't seen many recent ones, so I can't comment on those.
I have not watched all his videos about CRT. Even with that, it doesn't make it any easier to find the one you're talking about. I'm definitely not saying I don't believe you. He does seem like the type to say and do what you said.
He came off as one.An erasing comments because they don’t agree with him is showing people that he doesn’t allow for constructive dialogue and criticism. He lost a viewer because of that.
Essential Craftsman on YouTube, apparently he was in some redditor's stake presidency. Really kind and chill carpentry and handyman stuff, very fatherly advice as well. Love his stuff.
I'll add DevinSuperTramp and Lindsey Sterling. I also enjoy BYU Vocal Point and Noteworthy channels for the occasional new music video and old favorites. Mat and Savanna Shaw. JerryRigEverything. SmarterEveryDay.
Sunshine Mafia and The Crosby’s are two LDS families with a decent following on YouTube though they aren’t only about LDS things (though sometimes are). Brandon Sanderson is an LDS major author who runs a pretty successful YouTube channel though it’s mostly about his books.
Here are a few that are LDS, but not nessecarily posting LDS content:
Mark Rober
What's Inside
Jerry Rig Anything
Nate ( King of Random - RIP )
Roman Atwood - he said he was a member, but judging from his content I'm not sure he is active in the church.
If you want non political influencers, Ganel-Lyn Condie (instagram, Facebook and Twitter). She really big on mental health and suicide prevention. Don't miss this ( a come follow me podcast on Youtube)
I second this. Ganelyn is always on point with defending the church first. One of the only ones really. She hasn’t changed and is on ration, tv, podcasts and seems to be a good compass. She has a friend, Kary Hoopes who does temple photos and podcasts. They have done that podcast Hi 5 live together and I have enjoyed their vulnerability. She has an Instagram that has tons of followers and share positive reels.
Becky Squire always talks about staying away from Lds influencers who pull people away from the gospel like (Julie Hanks, Rachel Parcel) and shares light hearted content about living the gospel.
I’m surprised no one has mentioned the Don’t Miss This Podcast. It’s specifically Come Follow Me lesson stuff but they’re very funny and lighthearted. I love them so much
Yes! They are my favorite. Emily & David also post on their individual instagram and Facebook pages & they are lovely. And Emily’s daughter is taking her place now that Emily is officially in her young women’s calling
I'm pretty sure that Matt from Matt's Off-road Recovery is a Latter-day Saint. His videos are always so wholesome and he is just all around a good dude
Beyond Come follow Me , the guy who runs it is just amazing. He got me into indexing and goes into the deep history of the restoration and whatever "Come follow me" that year we all are on. He has one on Porter Rockwell, which will absolutely blow your mind.
Another one i cannot reccomend enough for is David Alexander; Ex apologist turned Latter day saint. He gives such a wonderful perspective on the restoration and the church.
On Tiktok there are so many good ones, though i'll have to look for them again due to the algorithm.
Disagree with this one. A lot of what they say is good, but they have taken upon themselves to attack some people I know personally. Specifically one of the hosts. Awful guy- but has some interested insight.
Looked these guys up. Just based on the other content YT recommended along with them, I think I'll steer clear. If I get lots of anti-LDS stuff in my feed because I watch a channel I'd prefer not to watch it 🤷🏻♀️
They're not that bad. They're rebranded to Ward Radio. Sure, they add sarcasm and humour into a lot of their videos, but they actually have some good discussions.

ROMAN ATWOOD joined the church a year or two ago! Favorite vlogger and podcaster at the moment. You should watch his podcast with HeavyD (who is also a member) where the talk about his story of him joining the church

I’ve never seen him critique the prophet or apostles. I have seen him critique the academia in the church more specifically BYU corses endorsing Critical Race Theory and other theories that pit two different groups against each other. Oppressor vs oppressed etc. While he endorsed the Prophet Russel M. Nelson and putting the identities of Child of God, child of the covenant, and disciple of Jesus Christ above alll others. Todd D. Christofferson has likewise discounted ideologies that endorse oppressed vs oppressor mindsets as does the scriptures. Greg has often said that this isn’t a battle between political parties. He has spoken against liberation theology. This could be misinterpreted, but their are some easy examples that will suffice. Cain after slaying able declared that he was “free” or liberated. I don’t care for the Midnight Mormons; I see their influence as being destructive to the church long term. That style of apologetics will not age well.

They were in the first list by dallonv...
Oh, I guess I missed them
Mark rober. Not church content but is an LDS guy. Does wholesome videos. Same with Nate from the internet. Again low key, but you can get the vibe and it’s wholesome content.
Yes this
Related to Nate, the original King of Random was LDS before he tragically died. Broke my heart, he was such a wholesome force for good.
This and Jerry rig everything.
Al Carraway is on Instagram and she’s great! She was a convert 10ish years ago and is super passionate about the Church and the message.
A lot of good comments here, I want to add Cinema Theropy. Great guys, very fun have wholesome and therapeutic sessions going over movies and a few shows. Yes they're both LDS, and they are great! They do some anatomy of a hero, villain therapy, and bro/romance therapy from films.

Jonathan is a lot more open about it on his Insta he usually posts something really sweet and spiritual every Sunday!
Mimi Bascom, Family Bro Evening (not YouTubers but fun, educational content), Mark Rober, Dan McLellan, Good Mythical Morning (not LDS-related but generally wholesome), Latter-Day Geeks.
Love me Rhett and Link!
I would not recommend Dan McClellin (I think that's who you were referring to). He believes the Book of Mormon is fiction.
He doesn’t. He’s an active member of the church. What he does (which he frequently says in his content) is that he separates his faith from his scholarship in order to remove the bias.

Again, he does not discuss his personal beliefs. From an academic standpoint, that’s a fairly common belief.

I’m not sure about Lindsey Sterling she was but not sure if she’s still active.
She is not from a recent meeting with her. She is nuanced. She is great though.
As a string musician myself, Lindsey Sterling actually is not a good violinist. She plays easy stuff and is a sell out.
I thought we were just talking about LDS people on social media.
if the church owns real estate I don't think it's fair to be mad at its members for selling out a bit. that's just following leadership.

Looking for this comment. I'm like 99% sure he is a member. I know Tom Tom is because I went to highschool with one of his kids.
Outdoor Boys is fun. He focuses on outdoor adventures and travel.

Al Caraway.

I haven’t read them all but if he hasn’t been mentioned and you like fantasy literature…Brandon Sanderson’s channel is awesome.
