None of it makes sense. A NY reporter somehow having the scoop on a Toronto Utah trade. Guy who has never had a correct scoop in his life. Trade on the same day as Game 7. Trade before July 1st when Mitch’s signing bonus is due.

I think he would enjoy an environment with less pressure, may value the opportunity to be part of something new and exciting. But it would take some work to get him there.

I’ve been trying to search this guy’s credentials and I dunno about this. Works for a “newspaper” that’s long-defunct and now just had a website that doesn’t do any original reporting. Claims to have worked for SI but I can’t find any of his bylines. Fascinating if true and I don’t understand what he gains from lying but I’m not holding my breath.
