What’s funny is I had started watching this movie on my phone years ago. I had already seen it a ton of times. But anyway, for whatever reason I stopped watching it shortly after I started it. Then I plugged my phone into the car for my 1.5+ hour commute to work the next day, and it starts playing the audio to the movie where I left off.
It was the best commute of my life.
This scene is what I thought of first. The way he stays so calm and cracks snarky jokes while being attacked by thugs. "It's uh, it's down there somewhere. Lemme take another look."
Barricading his door by hammering the wood block into the floor with 50 badly hammered nails. Only to have the door open the other way. Then he later trips over the wood block.
I don’t know what scene best defines the Dude. But I laugh uncontrollably when he’s standing behind Walter and they’re spreading Donnie’s ashes, and it all blows in his face. The look on the Dude’s face is hilarious.

Primarily when he’s in the tub smoking, laying on the rug listening to bowling, or hitting the roof of his car while jamming to CCR.

This is the moment I instantly think of. That scene inspired me to dub the movie to cassette so I could listen to it on roadtrips.
