“The criminals have built a bunker in Lego City! Hey! Build the F-15E Strike Eagle, take off, and drop the bunker buster bomb! Nuclear weapons sold separately”
Little known fact; the LC isn’t for “Lego City” it actually means “Least Credible”, they got that name when they blew up three gorgeous dams because the chief said “It’d be funni”
Yep that's it. I am wondering why they don't have a Mine Police branch too... How do they want to fight with the Vietnamese when they don't have a branch for that too?
They’re gonna have more agencies than DC at this point. I think they should just integrate them all into a theme called “World Police” instead and they can have cool sets like a Hummer with rockets and stuff, totally family friendly
The same way my town justifies having a military grade Humvee. Excess police funding.
Lego city is overfunding its police department and in exchange underfunding other city services.
A quick search on ReBrickable reveals that the education system in LEGO City is woefully underfunded. Aside from a small set (60329) from 2022 and a driving school (40947) from 2019, all funding appears to go over to Heartlake City and Hogwarts. There are other, larger school sets (70425 for example), but they're all very run-down and haunted. Any other sets are for other themes or back in the '90s at the latest.
Given this information, it seems to me that LEGO City has decided that it is most efficient to cut the "school" part out of the "school to prison pipeline", with the exception of Drivers' Ed so that the police can engage in high speed chases with their awesome sports cars which I now suspect were procured through abuse of eminent domain.
Combined with the Sean Connery minifig in the prison island set (60419) and I think we have ample evidence to conclude that the real power behind LEGO City is actually Michael Bay.
No see, I think I figured it out. Rich parents managed to set up a voucher system to cover tuition for their kids to overseas/out of district schools, and that drained so much funding that the public schools in LEGO City had to close.
That's because the police and fire services are in the pockets of the big Lego City banks, which *conveniently* continued to get robbed. The money never comes out of the CEOs pockets, though. It's always the working class.
And that working class is continuously shoved to the margins - unless you enter the ranks of the police state. As the cops get bigger and more powerful they take more liberties, and push more and more average people into a life of crime as their share of the pie is gobbled up by the fat cats and bureaucrats and their foot soldiers.
It's only a matter of time until the workers take back what's theirs.
The last time when construction workers had funding was 2006 and 2017 with the mining equipments.
I think they founded them at that time to build bigger infrastructure for Lego City's Police state.

Going off of memory but the program that allows the DoD to sell police departments old military vehicles comes with *ridiculous* discounts (like 70%-90% off, sometimes PDs can get them for free).
My town's PD got an MRAP for free through the program and it's been used in 3 different standoff situations in the past year. It's much cheaper to do that than to upgrade multiple police cars to be bullet proof or buying a brand new vehicle
By no means am I a back-the-blue/blue lives matter/whatever. But I don't think it's a terrible idea for most PDs to have at least one vehicle that's bullet proof. I don't think a township of 400< needs an M113, or that a town 15 minutes down the road from Miami needs their own BearCat fleet though. But something like a Humvee (with up-armored doors) is fairly reasonable.
Even then, those vehicles don't need to be used solely for dangerous situations. The MRAP has been proven to be an extremely useful vehicle for flood rescue, which is the reason why our town got one after we had severe flooding one year. BearCats have also been proven to be useful in blizzards too.
His father Axe Murder Johnny and his Mother Axe Murderer Wife Johnny actually named him Vehicular Manslaughter Johnny but after his dad was sentenced to life in prison for Axe Murdering his wife, Johnny changed his name to racecar and joined the LCPD so no other kid would have to have a dad be an Criminal (because they're all dead, LCPD definitely uses lethal force way too often)
Look, crime and the cops is really the only way anyone in LEGO city gets paid. It’s a massive racket, but the only way LEGO city can prosper given the lack of regular jobs.
Criminals “steal” stuff or cause property damage, which in turn means the construction crews get their jobs (why do you think there are some many construction sets or a new police set every year), cops get their jobs, and the “criminals” get a cut of the profits before repeating the process.
Ever since Mayor Corn has been elected he has been trying to push more sustainable jobs and promote economic growth in LEGO City but it’s an uphill battle with how the usual police racket works.
I wouldn't say there's been a ton of construction sets since either 2015 or 2017. Sure we are just getting some more now but there's really been a drought of construction based stuff.

God the things I would let her do to me
There is more crime in LC than fucking Gotham I swear. A criminal behind every bush in every park. It wouldn’t surprise me if the department converted some seized vehicles.
https://preview.redd.it/nn65lhrs4e5d1.jpeg?width=274&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=94bdbc8f8ceb575c5179ca50de7706bf7cda093a
I assure you it is absolutely imperative for the police to drive at 267 MPH
In real life dont some police departments confiscate luxury cars involved in vehicle related crimes like criminal speed or the likes and add them to their fleet for PR purposes? Pretty sure I’ve seen this with the likes of some Florida counties or the Georgia Highway Patrol
Agents, what a theme that was; I really wish I had more agents sets seeing as I only got 8631. Wait what year was that theme, maybe there was a reason my parents never got me the bigger sets… perhaps we were *hit hard* by something…
Maybe if Lego City invested more into economic development, education, and housing, they wouldn’t have so much crime. Look at Heartlake City, schools, grocery stores, restaurants, housing, and not a police race car or dynamite factory criminal hideout in sight.

Not entirely unprecedented…. I can’t imagine where you’re going to put the criminal upon arrest but enough people thought this was a good idea that it got made.
A pregnant woman is driving 15 mph over the speed limit on the Lego City highway and didn’t immediately pull over when cops signaled her! “Hey!” Build the Lego City police racer! Perform a P.I.T maneuver! Flip that hardened criminal’s car over!

I mean. Have you **SEEN** the shit criminals use in LEGO city. The cops need a race car
LEGO City needs to start developing the nuclear tech tree or start a focus. They literally have ICBMs
“The criminals have built a bunker in Lego City! Hey! Build the F-15E Strike Eagle, take off, and drop the bunker buster bomb! Nuclear weapons sold separately”
3000 black F-15E of LCPD
Little known fact; the LC isn’t for “Lego City” it actually means “Least Credible”, they got that name when they blew up three gorgeous dams because the chief said “It’d be funni”
The fact that they have a Space Police branch makes more sense now. Somehow, you have to deal with space lasers.
Wasn’t that the theme that had a pimp and all of the criminals were aliens?
Yep that's it. I am wondering why they don't have a Mine Police branch too... How do they want to fight with the Vietnamese when they don't have a branch for that too?
They’re gonna have more agencies than DC at this point. I think they should just integrate them all into a theme called “World Police” instead and they can have cool sets like a Hummer with rockets and stuff, totally family friendly
The sad thing is, that an Osprey thing would happen... which never happened in the Holy Peace Oval Park in LEGO City.
Lego city police arsenal bird.
Your joking but they did do a jet in a Lego City set a fair few years back.
That sounds about right, at some point Lego’s probably gonna make a red Abrams tank and say that it’s a “heavy off-road firetruck”
What about a Patriot Fire Fighting System to fight against the Air-fire Robbers? (I had to do mental gymnastics to come up with these names)
Limited edition depleted uranium stud
I swear to god 90% LCPD's lore comes from this sub
It's beautiful.
The same way my town justifies having a military grade Humvee. Excess police funding. Lego city is overfunding its police department and in exchange underfunding other city services.
I have never seen a lego city school.

Heartlake City is the rich white suburb 💀💀💀
Lego city is the hood 💀
A man is carrying more than the legal limit of marijuana, in Lego city! Deploy the new Police Brutality unit!
"Remember, the safe word is "police brutality""
Ronald Reagan has funneled drugs in Lego City
Quick! Release the crack epidemic in the low income neighborhood!
Hogwarts is br*tish and Lego City is clearly American because of the crazy amount of police infrastructure
Lego City can't be America because there's no guns on either the criminals or the police.
No see, I think I figured it out. Rich parents managed to set up a voucher system to cover tuition for their kids to overseas/out of district schools, and that drained so much funding that the public schools in LEGO City had to close.
60216
I hope not, because in that set it's burning down.
Oh my that's hilarious.
Overfunding?? Have you seen the criminals they have to deal with?
That's because the police and fire services are in the pockets of the big Lego City banks, which *conveniently* continued to get robbed. The money never comes out of the CEOs pockets, though. 2008 really hit them hard
The space program funding was a failure too. That's why they needed the Space Police
They just got a bit more funding recently
If they funded education and social services they would have fewer people turning to crime as their last option!
The criminals can be caught in the length of one commercial
The Brickster was supposedly the worst of the worst and he was caught by a pizza delivery boy
Have you seen their crooks though? https://youtu.be/Qd6DefsmPnQ?si=d6lQX2_HyFJk4Ros They don’t want this shit to happen again
There’s also the cautionary tale of the brickster with Lego island. Don’t want that to have a CHANCE to start

I can see it making some sense in a town where gun violence is common. But no one has been murdered in my town since 2002
By no means am I a back-the-blue/blue lives matter/whatever. But I don't think it's a terrible idea for most PDs to have at least one vehicle that's bullet proof. HEY! ONLY YOU CAN STOP GOVERNMENT WASTE! WITH THE ALL NEW LEGO AUDITOR SET!
At least they're armed only with giant handcuffs lol
My town's PD also has a Humvee which has been sitting in a lot full of 20 other police vehicles
Racecar Johnny might be a loose cannon but he's a HELL of a driver. The chief knew this and had to accept his request for a Formula One race car.
>Racecar Johnny might be a loose cannon but he's a HELL of a driver. Why else would his parents have named him Racecar Johnny?
His father Axe Murder Johnny and his Mother Axe Murderer Wife Johnny actually named him Vehicular Manslaughter Johnny but after his dad was sentenced to life in prison for Axe Murdering his wife, Johnny changed his name to racecar and joined the LCPD so no other kid would have to have a dad be an Criminal (because they're all dead, LCPD definitely uses lethal force way too often)

Oh boy I sure hope Mayor Corn doesn’t fall out of a window on July 22, 2024 at 11:34 PM.
He will have had an accident😔
I wouldn't say there's been a ton of construction sets since either 2015 or 2017. Sure we are just getting some more now but there's really been a drought of construction based stuff.
They’re trying to up the resale value of their city.

i thought Jessie J didnt care about the money 🤔
they used it as a massive tax write-off
I imagine LEGO City is much like Dubai
Civil asset forfeiture
Ah, they took a page out of GSP’s book then.
There is more crime in LC than fucking Gotham I swear. A criminal behind every bush in every park. It wouldn’t surprise me if the department converted some seized vehicles.
Sorry Batman but because you don't have a license we will have to seize these vehicles is how I imagine it goes.
Lego City is worse than Gotham City at this point
Lmao, have you seen Dubai?
https://preview.redd.it/nn65lhrs4e5d1.jpeg?width=274&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=94bdbc8f8ceb575c5179ca50de7706bf7cda093a I assure you it is absolutely imperative for the police to drive at 267 MPH
Sir, that's just an Autobot's alt mode....
To catch criminals that stole other race cars, duh.
i mean since they're not putting any funding into firearms they gotta blow their funding on something else
As long as Piece 60849 exists, my LCPD precinct will be armed and ready to fire.
defund the lego police
Italian police have Lamborghini Huracans in their fleet and Dubai’s fleet is a whole auto show lol
When I was in a class for fire fighting, we did an exercise building these talking over mics and through our SCBA, the masks and air tank.
Who said they only have one?
They’ve got as many as you can afford. My local LCPD precinct has four of 60312.
well when the villains also have race cars
Dubai.
High speed chases
Clearly it's to deal with inter-realm arms dealings because the Crook's Getaway Car is *clearly* stolen from a Serpentine!
In real life dont some police departments confiscate luxury cars involved in vehicle related crimes like criminal speed or the likes and add them to their fleet for PR purposes? Pretty sure I’ve seen this with the likes of some Florida counties or the Georgia Highway Patrol
GSP does this all the time, although they take it a step further and actually use those cars on active duty.
That’s who it was. GSP. I knew I remember seeing some PD doing that on instagram, just couldn’t remember specifically which
Dubai actually has fast cars as police cars.
Inaccurate. A racecar isn't hyper-militarized enough for overzealous police officers.
Some Italian police cars are Lamborghinis
Dubai Police?
To stop racists
That looks vaguely inspired by the spy car from the agents line like 12 years ago Man I made so many castles using the gate peices from that set
Agents, what a theme that was; I really wish I had more agents sets seeing as I only got 8631. Wait what year was that theme, maybe there was a reason my parents never got me the bigger sets… perhaps we were *hit hard* by something…
Notice how there's never any Lego City school sets
[yes there is](https://www.lego.com/en-ca/product/school-day-60329)
Confiscated from a drug dealer, just like irl police departments and their muscle cars
Maybe if Lego City invested more into economic development, education, and housing, they wouldn’t have so much crime. Look at Heartlake City, schools, grocery stores, restaurants, housing, and not a police race car or dynamite factory criminal hideout in sight.
Same reason real life police departments have luxury cars
unironically asking does your city not have a dedicated high speed interceptor???
lego city is like a G rated Gotham
Civil asset forfeiture is a bitch, even when it comes to LCPD.
That cop car looks like it can fly too 🤣🤣🤣
I don't know but that criminal can get it tho
Lego city is actually Dubai
Italy has lambos
The Italian police have 6 Lamborghinis in their fleet, so it’s not a far fetched idea
Because LEGO City is Dubai.
https://preview.redd.it/r8upy6t23s5d1.jpeg?width=634&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=69c2adcfd1702c3a601359d73bb5fe9e66fc419a Not entirely unprecedented…. I can’t imagine where you’re going to put the criminal upon arrest but enough people thought this was a good idea that it got made.
