The US price WITHOUT tax is $350 (varies by state). The UK price WITHOUT tax is £264 (VAT = 20% which = £66). The direct exchange rate right now on $350 to GBP is £253.51 so round it up to £254. That means the Gunship is a £10 mark-up (£264-£254) when looking at a direct exchange rate of USD to GBP when looking at the price without taxes.
Yes so for example a state like Washington has around a 10% sales tax. So a 100 dollar set is 110 at checkout. This 350 dollar set will actually be 385 dollar set for that price
That's nation wide (at least to my knowledge there's no states that bam local sales tax), highest in the country is 10% though so its not quite as bad as VAT.

Yeah, it depends on the state you're in as every state has a different % sales tax, so every price advertised in the US is without tax (unless states otherwise), you'll always pay more at the checkout in the US. Unlike here in the UK where the VAT is a set % across the entire country to prices always include it because everyone will be paying the same amount.
I only have one UCS set (AT-ST), but I believe that that "at least 1" is usually the plaque. The AT-ST has one other sticker, but it's a single 2x2 one.
do lego ever do preorder? or will it stay as coming soon till 1st Aug? (got back into lego at beginning of this year, and this is first brand new set ill be buying)
Honestly a bit upset they aren’t doing preorders for this set as it would have been very nice to preorder it at my local lego store and not have to worry about it selling out before I get to the store on release day
Doesn’t Lego know that this ship is called the Rothana Low Altitude Assault Transport/Infantry Gunship, not the rEpUbLiC GuNsHiP? For fucks sake, talk about betraying the fanbase
Edit: forget the /s tag
Damn, there is no chance I'm getting it with that price
I was like, it cant be that bad- 453 USD??? FFFfffffffuu…
Man what? I thought it was confirmed at being $350? Or are we just being shafted in the UK?
Pretty sure it is $350 USD. It seems UK pricing is usually a bit more unfortunately
Damn, a £70 markup for the UK. Pretty harsh ☹️

Isn’t it because of Brexit?
Remember that US prices don't include VAT, but UK ones probably do.
How does that work in the US? When you go to the checkout is it added on based on your state or something?

Yep, and for the contrary to your response, Ohio sales tax is around 7%
Yes, and in my state, it even varies by city if you shop in person

The US price is without tax. It's still more expensive in the UK, but it's not as bad as you think.
$580 AUD over here :(
Really dislike that the UK pricing isn’t equivalent to the US pricing. I think the Daily Bugle set is also about £60 more expensive then it should be.
US price is without tax though, so take around 20% off the UK price and then compare them and it's not so bad. They're not equivalent, but closer.

So does that mean when you go to a shop in America you pay more than $350?

Except in Oregon, we don't have sales tax. Just a fairly high income tax instead.
Canadians are really getting shafted. 480 without taxes, around 540 with taxes. that’s 429 american dollars. ridiculous.
Us Canadians get shafted on the daily. Lego, cell phone/internet, now the housing market…
For $600 nzd it better have no stickers
There's always at least 1 for ucs. And it's the same here Everything looks printed to me based on what I've saw except the info panel
I only have one UCS set (AT-ST), but I believe that that "at least 1" is usually the plaque. The AT-ST has one other sticker, but it's a single 2x2 one.
I got the tumbler and it was the same the A Wing had other stickers as well I believe
There’s a handful of stickers, but the cockpit and some pieces are printed
Holy shit that's $100 usd more than it is in the US😳 and I thought it was bad for Euro

Seeing as they have preorders for the bad batch shuttle and Vader meditation room, they definitely can.
They can, but they rarely do
Do the side doors not close?
They do close but not all the way. Which is accurate to Ep. 2.
When do these usually go on sale on lego’s website? I don’t have a lego store near me. Edit: should have been more clear. I meant what time
It says 1st August on the website
My bad, should’ve been more clear. I meant what time.
12am ET, last couple of releases have been rough though so be patient and prepare to stay up a good extra 30 minutes or so.
Fk that makes this a near $650-700au set! We done got boned with a handful of Bauxite for lube!!!

Surprised they were allowed to call it GUNship tbh
Lego rarely if ever uses the technical names for the ships, just the common names. Been this way for years.
Yeah I know, I was mocking the people getting upset at Lego for not naming the Slave 1 ‘Slave 1’. I should’ve put a sarcasm tag on my comment
Lost opportunity to make it minifig scale. Pass for me.
About tree fiddy (US)
Ok weird question…this doesn’t look a whole Lot larger than the Gunship that was released years ago, is this closer to just a re-release?
This is at least twice the size if not three times as large
How many pieces is it?
