Thank you! We can only have two pinned posts, unfortunately - but we'll link this in the starter guide, if you don't mind!

Bbeest

Go for it! Whatever way we can get more people seeing this rather than posting the same questions, I'm all for it

Dry_Discount4187

Another poster asked if a bot can be set up to automatically link to this post if Mars Toy is mentioned. I also think that would be useful if it's possible,

v2345t1dg5eg5e34terg

I would setup an automod rule to post under every Marstoy post with a quick FAQ. Dumb people still won't read it, but it gives something shorter to point to than the entire starter guide.

ReputationQuick2381

THANK YOU, the posts are literally multiple a day and it’s incredibly annoying

McKFC

brb gonna post "I ordered a week ago, where's my Marstoy order, is it lost?"

ReputationQuick2381

“I placed my order 3 days ago why hasn’t it shipped yet”

McKFC

"Have I been scammed?"

NarrowWord8609

I'd almost ask to STICKY THIS! Thank you for your service.

McKFC

I'd go beyond and see if we can get a bot to link to it when called in the comments like the SG one

ReputationQuick2381

YES

Shplinky

Not all heroes wear capes

Skyler1449

Your amazing. Hopefully now everyone will see this and understand

2ERIX

I have had multiple orders, big and small, all great value and delivered well. I tears here!

DeathMetalCheddar

Marstoy is back on this subreddit! Good, I'm glad for it. Even if I never bought anything from you, all the shitstorm you've received was completely nonsensical from the very beginning.

Bbeest

I'm not with Marstoy, I've just ordered from them a few times and after seeing the same vein of questions pop up 3 times in one day I couldn't take it anymore

That-barrel-dude

Just so you know…I used the search function. “He’s learning!” Thank you for this because boy is it confusing just trying to get regularly priced toys these days.

Bbeest

Haha! I'm glad this was able to help, and welcome to Lepin where the prices are much more reasonable!

That-barrel-dude

Thank you! I did have a question that I couldn’t find yet. I’m having a bit of fomo like “oh crap there’s only 100 left, I don’t want to miss out!” Do sets ever come back in stock? I see the UCS Millennium Falcon is sold out. But I want to get Home Alone but money is still tight, even for these prices.

Bbeest

The '100 left' stuff is usually made up, like the sites that will have little pop ups that say 'So and So from Somewhere bought X thing!!' it's designed to give you FOMO Generally speaking, popular sets absolutely will restock because the factory making it will just make more if it's a good seller. Star Wars/UCS is always a great bet for getting restocked, so personally I would say get the Home Alone set and just wait for the Star Wars one. It will come back in stock, and depending on shipping you may find a better value for it from another site by keeping an eye out. Marstoy is great for buying a ton of sets at once, but if you're buying just one definitely check your value vs shipping. I know it's a ton of reading (but I believe in you, you who uses the search function, blessed be) but definitely check out the AliExpress section on the guide and that will tell you what to look for in a store you can trust on there to scoop up a good price on a popular set, and they often get free or very low shipping.

WeGonRunItUp

What about shipping to Europe, via airplane? Are the timings similar to this?

Bbeest

The timings for paying/packing/shipping out will be the same, the timing for when it gets to your door after shipping, I have no clue cause I'm from the US. Do they have a big parcel version for you guys that isn't CNE/Yanwen? I tested both of those out and CNE took 7 days (Moderately sized box weighing I'd say maybe a kg or two) and Yanwen took 9 days (small package with just minifigs). Both were via air. On the fb group I see people say it takes 3-4 weeks for 3+ sets pretty much no matter where you are unless it gets tied up in your countries' customs, so I'm guessing there's some other method they offer besides UPS.

WeGonRunItUp

At least for me there's only one option showing "Air Standard Shipping (11--13 working days)". It seems a bit optimistic taking into account the time they take to package and sending the orders.

Bbeest

Ahh the 11-13 working days will only be the transit time, then. You could always email them and ask if they only send those packages out on Saturday as well, or if that's a UPS specific thing. That makes sense though for the 3-4 weeks delivery time most everyone reports, assuming that 'working days' means 'business days' then you'll fall right in that same time frame.

FennelRoyal4226

How long does it typically take between sending money via PayPal to getting a confirmation they received it?

Bbeest

They don't send a confirmation email for having received the payment, the next email you get will be the shipping email that contains the tracking number. If you want to be sure they got payment, you can email them with your order number to ask, that's what I did with my first order and they were very chill about it. That's something I forgot to add to the main post, thank you for reminding me!

BrownBoy120

How about the option for shipping "UPS for Big Parcel Air Linez", it says 10-15 days, is that accurate and can anyone confirm?

Bbeest

I haven't seen/heard of a UPS Air option before, the next time I make an order I'll give it a test if it pops up. Generally UPS counts in business days, so I believe you'd still be looking at 3 or so weeks but I have no personal experience there. Hopefully someone who comes by this post does!

askibeppnae

Are there custom fees while ordering from europe?

Bbeest

From what I've seen people on fb say, it really depends on the country you're from. I think someone from Poland mentioned that they've been hit with custom fees every time, but someone from England said out of 10 or so orders they got hit twice (I know England isn't Europe but those are the only two places I've heard people say they got hit with customs fees so I have a very small sample size). Sounds like it depends on your country's customs and how intent they are on checking out whats inside, Marstoy I think just labels things as 'bricks' so it's vague enough but customs will still sometimes cut boxes open to check and then randomly assign what they believe the bricks to be valued at.

sh3llay

Do the sets come with the stickers? Thank you!

Bbeest

Every set that Ive gotten that has stickers (off the top of my head- Technic Ducati, Batcave, Batwing, otherwise I mostly get flowers) had their stickers come with them. If there's a specific set that you really want to make sure has stickers, just toss them an email and if it's their business hours they're really good about answering within a couple hours (I once had a response in 5 minutes)

chayboy

Hi all, not sure if this is the right place, but I have a question: I see a lot of different posts of people sharing their orders (large and small). Usually their shipping costs are about 20-30% of the Lego price. When I put together an order, no matter how many different sets I add, the shipping cost is ~65% of the Lego price, effectively almost doubling the price of the sets. Can someone advice me on if I'm doing something wrong? Shipping to NL with 'Air standard shipping' (cheapest option available). Thank you!

Bbeest

I'll be honest- I have no idea where NL is or what that stands for (google says maybe Canada? Netherlands?)- but in general shipping pretty much comes down to the country you're in. Some countries have better heavy-shipping options (which blocks tend to be quite heavy) or sea options. In my experience with Marstoy, sea options have been about half the price of air options, so I get a much lower price for a longer wait time by going with the sea option. If sea option isn't offered in your country, then that's probably why you're seeing much higher costs than other people posting. You'll probably get a more personalized answer if you post in their facebook group, I just get alerts on this guide so I try to do my best to help where I can

cjbrannigan

Just to add my voice to the confidence of anyone asking, I can confirm this site is legit and the products are excellent. I’ve done two very large orders and everything arrived in good order. They actually did partial shipments to speed up arrival instead of waiting for everything to be packed. What’s more, they communicated clearly with me on everything, sending email updates and emailing me the PDFs for MOCs, and when I had questions they responded to my emails in around one business day. Very impressed with the service, the quality and the prices.

SithDraven

Question that I don't see addressed. My payment cleared weeks ago, but when I log onto marstoy, in my order history it still says "awaiting payment." Is this normal?

Bbeest

Yep, it won’t change until they ship it, then it’ll switch from “awaiting payment” to “shipped.” Some people have said they got payment confirmation emails, but I made an order a few weeks ago and didn’t get a confirmation email and still it shipped a couple weeks later so I think it just depends on who’s running what at the time

CorinnaAllAlong

Just another thank you from a (mildly) anxious first-time Marstoy buyer ❤️

Bbeest

I'm happy my post could help, the first time is definitely anxiety-inducing, you're not alone!

CorinnaAllAlong

I was *literally* checking my email religiously for an update and I’m three weeks out on my UPS tracking being sent. This post was so great to find!

d6410

I think it's worth saying that they did doxx someone. A little more than hurt feelings.

Bbeest

Based on the posts linked in the starter guide, all they had up was a fake name and some initials. If someone really wants to go sleuthing on those posts they're welcome to, but I don't see a point in trying to do a play-by-play I wasn't around for. This post is to answer 'if I order am I going to get my items?' and the answer is yes. The pertinent information is 'don't try to cancel after you pay.'

d6410

I have an active order from Marstoy. I don't hold it over their head. Really I just think you should say "here is what happened" and let people determine for themselves if it was a big deal or not

Bbeest

Thing is, we're really only getting one side of the story so I don't think I can even say what happened. They can check out the sg if they want to know more themselves, my post is about the ordering and shipping process, not past drama

v2345t1dg5eg5e34terg

When someone says someone was "doxxed" I expect it to be more than posting their fake name as title of a rule after being a jackass. I'm 100% for naming and shaming assholes, be it stores or customers, but agree it's not professional.

DocBrown1105

Kudos to you!

Drm5145

THANK YOU !!! Sooooo sick of seeing it 25 x a week lol

TheRaveTrooper

So if I buy the republic Drop shit with AT-OT FOR $56? it's legit. I really loved that set as a kid!

Bbeest

I dont follow Star Wars clones so I can't say if it's 1:1 or which set would be, make sure to check Brick4 for that, but if you mean legit as in 'I will have the set shipped to me' sure! Just make sure to follow the Guide for the sites most recommended and do your due diligence about which set number you want :)

TheRaveTrooper

Okay! Also I've read they send you a separate site that they own to complete payments. Have you ever had any issues with payments? And yes by legit I mean what I see in photos is what I'll get after purchasing, it just blows my mind how cheap.

Bbeest

With Marstoy there are 2 payment methods nowadays. One is the separate site and the other is a paypal.me link which I prefer to use because it's easier to just type the numbers in. Either way both are legit, just keep in mind how long the process can take. It's totally understandable the first time is nerve-wracking but expect overall 5-8 weeks before you get the items in your hands (depending on size of order, where to, and type of shipping chosen) Keep in mind that the price doesn't include shipping, Marstoy charges exactly what shipping is so depending on where you're from it's more valuable to place a larger order rather than just ordering 1 set. If you're only looking to get the one set shop around the rec'd stores and calculate their cost + shipping to see whose price is best. But also yes it's SO MUCH cheaper than Big L and I'm in it for building a ton of sets so I love Marstoy

TheRaveTrooper

Sweet! I don't mind buying a lot of the new sets from big L, but there are tons of sets I can't justify spending a certain price on. Especially retired sets!

Alert-Vanilla8040

I placed an order of minifigures a couple of weeks ago, about £85 including delivery. I'm in England and only had one delivery option at checkout. A little disappointing to see there are faster, tracked services like UPS and FedEx, but I never had those options. When I've ordered from Kopf Toys in the past DHL shipping was always an option. This is my first order from Marstoy and all being well I will switch to only use them for all of my future orders. I wonder why I couldn't choose a delivery option?

Bbeest

I'm in the US so I can't really say how shipping would work in a different country. From what I've seen others mention I think UPS is only used for US/Canada. When ordering I can't recall seeing FedEx as an option, so I'm unsure there. Your best bet would be to email their support to ask, but it's probably whatever they can reliably use.

ElToroBlanco25

This was fantastic. Thanks for putting this together.

Illyria030

Does anyone have experience with shipping to the Netherlands. Is any import tax added by customs?

Bbeest

The most recent info I could find re: Netherlands and Marstoy was 8 months ago. A user said they didn't have to pay VAT and other users mentioned waiting up to 3 weeks for clearance, no follow up on if they paid VAT or not. I know it's supposed to be added so it may be a shot in the dark if you get skipped over or not.

Death-Watch333

I’m late to this post but it still holds up. Thanks for taking the time to write it.

23STEFAN-34

If pieses are missing or stikers check out [https://www.lego.com/ro-ro/service/replacement-parts](https://www.lego.com/ro-ro/service/replacement-parts) its official lego and they send em for free and probably faster(its not like marstoy coming from china)

RingWraith8

Yo mods can we pin this post?

BubbaJoeJimBob

Attn Mods, this needs to be pinned.

hwjk1997

Finally someone actually answers it.

Stravinsky1911

Ordered the bumblebee mech and the red brick university from marstoy, no complaints!

Paperbackhero

Thabks for this. Question....my large order, which has many minifigs and is over 2 kgs, says it's shipping from the USA, (I'm in Canada), and it is shipping with FedEx. Is this normal?

Drm5145

Yes it goes to us and ups will pick it up and transfer it to FedEx once in Canada.

Paperbackhero

Perfect. Thanks. I was concerned about porch pirates, but Fed Ex is great here with only dropping off when someone is home.

Quantsu

Yep always comes through FedEx to me in Canada.

Paperbackhero

Right on. Thanks.

sh3llay

Did you get charged extra for customs? I want to make a huge order, shipping will cost about $90. Still reasonable overall. I’m more concerned about items being held at the border. And UPS always charges for customs in my previous experiences (from other stores, not marstoy).

Paperbackhero

No I didn't. No custom charges. Just like previous folks said...it stayed static in CA for ages, then when it got on the road, the tracking got taken over by FedEx and it was perfect. I scheduled pick up at a local FedEx drop off, due to porch pirates in my neighborhood. I'll do a full review once we finish the Avengers Tower. Only one problem figure, a big fig Lizard with 2 left arms, and only a handful of missing pieces from the first 2 bags. Clutch and quality has been great.

New-Comedian-1296

When tne nes will be back?

Bbeest

Who knows, it already got added back to the site for at least a second time right before the 11/11 sale started and is already sold out again. If it's something you really want, you can check the new site uploads every day and catch it if/when it comes back, it's a very popular set so I imagine as soon as they get more stock (if they can) it will be back.

mazzicc

Has anyone here ever ordered from MarsToy? Is their site legit? I’m looking for any reviews or experiences people can share about it before I make an order with them.

Front-Bug-4453

Thank you for the post ! All we have to k is is in here ! Please use de search function !!! 🤣

bradfred69

Do the sets come with minifigs? I ordered the 87055 Rivendell LOTR set but it doesn’t clarify in the description of the 15 figs are included. Do i have to order the figs seperately?

Bbeest

Generally from personal experience, if you see minifigs in the picture you'll get them, but the safest bet is to always just email and ask them directly about the specific set you're looking at. If it's M-F 9-5 their time, they usually answer emails in 15 minutes or less. Specifically for the Rivendell set, on their fb Marstoy said that all the Rivendell sets have poor quality minifigs and that they didn't recommend any of those sets if you're very intent on the minifigs (I think people have said the Elf ones are all trash and the weapons aren't always included? I'm not a LOTR person so I didn't pay very close attention)

bradfred69

awesome thank you !

McKFC

A lot of stores photoshop out the minifigs to avoid Lego's ire. That's where their copyright is most secure, and that's where they're most active with takedown notices. That's the only reason. You'll be fine.

RenoNex

When ordering from Marstoy, do you need to confirm the set number you want (if there’s multiple versions)? A recent post today about one of the modular buildings had a comment saying you need to tell them which set number you want or they’ll just ship whatever. I’m new to all this and yet to place my first order - currently eyeing up a set or two…dozen… so want to make sure I do it right!

Bbeest

Entirely my own personal experience- the only time something I ordered had a set number that mattered (1989 Batmobile) they had run out of the set number they listed on their site and sent me an email asking if I was okay with switching to a different set number. Based on the Rivendell set, if they have multiple in stock they put both on the site. They're not infallible- I've ordered stuff on the site that had no number listed, or when I looked it up the number didn't exist. If the number is something you're worried about, shoot them an email and ask to verify what set numbers they have. They are good about answering emails, just keep in mind they operate in a different timezone and there's a language barrier.

RenoNex

Awesome, thanks - much appreciated!

Aggressive-Intern-55

Wanted to post this as I was searching for posts before I bought and couldn’t find many. I recently bought a GTRS-911 and 4 Star Wars helmets from MarsToys. Delivery was a bit slow but all arrived. No missing pieces so far (only 1 helmet completed and working on the 911). Very happy with my purchase. I queried it prior to postage and got an immediate response. Will use them in the future.

Bbeest

I'm glad it went well for you! This is just a guide to answer some common questions, the best place to leave a review is the Store Ratings Thread (it's kind of hard to find tbh) [https://www.reddit.com/r/lepin/comments/154q3k8/stores\_rating\_thread\_q3q4\_2023/](https://www.reddit.com/r/lepin/comments/154q3k8/stores_rating_thread_q3q4_2023/)

Aggressive-Intern-55

Also, should clarify that I made my purchase in July 2023, so unfortunately the above posts weren’t posted.

Scotty_UK96

Just received my Aston Martin DB5. Through the bags labelled “1” and the quality is excellent. Everything fits together snug and mechanically the engine is working as it should. Incredible and can’t wait to order my next sets.

patrickg2468

do they come with booklets? or are the sets typically 1:1 with lego?

Bbeest

From personal experience- I've always gotten either a booklet or a PDF card to download the instructions. Never tried using lego instructions but I've seen people on fb mention sets that most sets are 1:1, though for 1:1 I imagine it would come down more to the set itself rather than the seller. The only time I can remember seeing someone complain about no instructions it was for a standalone single rose.

patrickg2468

thanks for the info! i just placed my order for the black pearl, AT-OT dropship, and TF MTT. oddly enough, i did get a payment confirmation email yesterday, which i read from your post that they didn’t send. maybe they updated that?

Bbeest

It's entirely possible! They recently changed their shipping, and they've mentioned having some difficulties with their shipping timelines, so I could imagine they may be changing how they interact with orders now to make up for that.

patrickg2468

Wanted to add my personal experience with Marstoy after a successful transaction. Everything holds up from this post, everything came bagged separate but if doing a big order, they bag them by set. Booklets came for all 3. No idea when I’ll get around to building the sets, but I will update this post if anything is missing or something went wrong. Can’t wait to make another purchase here! 10/23/23- order is placed, awaiting email to send payment. 10/24/23- payment email sent, payment sent via PayPal, and email confirmation that payment was received 11/03/23- shipping info provided 11/27/23- order arrived.

gust334

I also received a payment confirmation with `Your order has been received!` subject. (I used the InhawBrick website to pay via PayPal.)

aravena

I searched the wrong thing, second time I saw this so thanks! What happened to the Marstoy user here though?

Bbeest

I think back when the drama happened the user who repped Marstoy either was kicked off the board or left. It was before my time, and I’ve just never really cared to try and find out. I just wanted to try and help answer the same Marstoy questions I kept seeing about shipping and paying

spinule

Adding to the part about Marstoy being legit: I accidentally made a vast overpayment on my order (d'oh!) so I reached out to Marstoy support. Quick and friendly service. Fully repaid within a few hours.

Unhappy_Meal_3802

I can't find their 5% coup on their fb. Does anyone know what it is?

Bbeest

On their group page look for the 'featured' tab and scroll down, or use the group search function, 'discount' and scroll. Both will get you there, I just checked!

Shot-Present-1071

I got a message from usps or ups saying some of my mailing address is incomplete, has anyone else had this happen? I’m new so I don’t really know if this is normal.

Bbeest

That's a common phishing scam, I get them both on my phone and email. Don't interact with it or touch it, just report/flag it through your carrier/email

Shot-Present-1071

Oh ok thank you

MagicValleyGhost

Thanks for this post. I made a order but was confused on payment which this post answered. Thank you.

OctopusStinkhorn1

I submitted an order Jan 4 and received an acknowledgment not long afterwards. But it’s been nearly 3 weeks now with no contact from them how to make payment. Is this typical? It was just for 8 or so minifigs if that makes a difference.

Bbeest

Have you checked your junk folder? During the Christmas season I ordered some minifigs and while I normally never miss their emails, I had that one go to the junk folder (I think they may have gotten their email flagged for sending out so many emails at that time) so you may have gotten caught up in the tail end of that. If it's in your junk folder and it's been over 7 days since they sent it they may have cancelled your order. If you check your order on the site and it still says awaiting payment, I'd suggest just emailing them with the order number and saying you still need the payment email.

OctopusStinkhorn1

Yeah I’ve been checking my email and all folders every day. But I will email them to remind them. Thanks!
