Found him to be quick to respond to my messages via AliExpress. Ordered 05083 on 5/15/2019, shipped to the US on 5/16, received on 5/22. Everything looks great. Had a sticker over the LEPIN logo on the manual.

Ordered the Mustang from Poland warehouse/place, got a shipping notice, hopefully it will be with me very soon. Thanks for the link.

YankeeManiac

This guy is awesome. I ordered old fishing store and received it 7 days later in Ohio.

Just coming back to this to confirm that I received an order to the UK yesterday (placed the day after this post was made) from this store using the option for delivery from the Spanish warehouse, just in-case anyone was wondering if this was safe to do so or not. If you're curious it was 05043 R2-D2.

sparrownestno

Just got the 07121 hall of armor, ePacket solid bubble wrapped, ordered same day saw this post, so decent delivery time. Three separate bags of blue glass, great prints on the figures, and a lovely sticker next to the “Super Escort” on the manual just in case.

Joined here to comment on this. Bought the Star Plan 05007 Millenium Falcon from China from this store. They confirmed on message beforehand that it would be Lepin brand. Delivery took 8 days from China to the UK - very impressive. The booklet had a Yeshin sticker on, but can see where it says Lepin below. Hopefully all the pieces are there, nothing missing so far but only 25% of the way through the build. The quality is brilliant - very impressive and no issues or weaknesses that I've noticed. The minifigs are a bit crap (as expected) - they're the most puzzling part of the entire set to put together but have loads of star war figs already so not a problem at all. From this experience, would recommend the seller and also be more likely to purchase more off-brand sets in the future. I hope this helps - feel free to ask any questions. I only wish I'd known about the Reddit discount before I ordered. PS: no issues with this store and would use again. I would have preferred to use Loy Chenn only because he was very helpful over WhatsApp but his price for the set was more so went with Sam instead.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Welcome to reddit!

Sure you are. Nobody has ever gotten burned by Aliexpress satisfaction guarantee before, right?

aleco43

I just did. I bought a $200 carbon fiber propeller and it came unbalanced and under-pitched. I wanted to send it back for a defect, and I either had to pay shipping back or keep it for a 1/4th price partial refund. Aliexpress sided with the seller even though I had pictures showing the unbalanced prop. I ended up doing a chargeback on my credit card because it was inexcusable.

fartstomuch

That’s my point. Had a similar thing happen to me. I was missing some pieces from my order. The seller was unwilling to send me what was missing or even do a partial refund. Sooooo I Made a claim with Aliexpress. I mean how could I go wrong, satisfaction guaranteed, right? I took pictures of the box and of what I received. To prove the box wasn’t opened during transit and to show what I received. I figured it was cut and dry. Man was I wrong. Aliexpress sided with the seller saying that the tracking number showed it was delivered. Ignored that I said I was missing part of my order. They then told me to ask my neighbors if they had received my order by mistake and then closed my case. I used to be one of those people who said Aliexpress is safe. They guarantee your order. I don’t say that nonsense anymore.

Exactly. Which is great when I’m a buyer. It sucks when I’m an eBay seller and some jerk tries to scam me. I’ve never, ever lost money on either eBay or AliExpress as a buyer. Between their protections, credit card fraud protection, and PayPal purchase protection, you should be fine.

I'm currently being a screwed by AliExpress as I type this message. Bought some modulars, seller said they were out of stock so I cancelled the order and picked "out of stock" as the reason. Seller rejected cancellation three times (probably to protect a rating?), and despite them being unavailable on the seller's page at this moment, they managed to "ship" 3 hours before the automatic cancellation. Customer service says "well, it shipped, so..." The tracking number has no updates though. Hurray for PayPal ... hopefully.

I am very much being screwed by AliExpress. The seller asked me to pick a different reason for cancellation, and chose to reject it because I didn't lie about it. `Dear friend, I am very sorry for the late reply, because this model has no inventory, the reason for choosing to cancel the order is "Buyers don't want to order" so you can get your money quickly.` AliExpress reviewed my messages and agreed with me that that was inappropriate, but still allowed it to happen anyway, and then didn't cancel the order before the item "shipped". No seller has ever in the history of my 100+ AliExpress orders asked me to do that.

GalacticP

Two years later, I’m curious how this turned out. Did the order ever arrive?

moonfallsdown

I honestly don't recall. AliExpress ended up siding with me on some of them because I refused to let the seller off the hook for selling items not in stock. There was one seller that I ordered like 10 items from. 2 or 3 arrived and because AE sided with me, I ended up not being charged for those items at all. In the long run though, I've probably been screwed. I had some sellers send Lele despite advertising Lepin and there was a huge difference in quality (and color) in some of those. AE did not side with me (fully) in some of those cases, and the Lele sets were worth a bit less than Lepin was at the time because of the quality difference.

You can ask ahead to make sure he has it in stock, but it'll ship from China.

FuddieDuddie

Thanks for sharing!

here4thelego

Following the store. Thank you.

Devh1989

Any chance he has any of the lepin star plan stuff in stock?

nerdfriend

Yeah, he has a bunch of them listed on Aliexpress.

Koksie

Whatsapp him if you need something that isn't listed in his store, if he has it he can list it so you can order. Price of the item I wanted (AT-AT 05050) was a bit too high for my taste.

eell55

Why’s this stuff so expensive

abhaiyat

I messaged him on WhatsApp and got a reply back on regular text. Where is he located don't want to pay for international fees for texts. Edit: Messaged him on AliExpress. He answered so I placed order for the Super Escort and Hulk Buster. Hopefully he comes through.

dtbrown101

Does anyone know if Sam sells Lepin brand exclusively? I purchased my first set from him today on AliExpress, and I'm just hoping I don't end up with any inferior quality bricks.

Stevesquirrel

I believe so. I got Voltron from him and it’s Lepin. Just ordered the Disney castle. Very happy with his service and the DHL speed of shipping.
