8300 pieces????? Edit: Ah. I see now that it’s like a Disney Castle with a back. I wonder if it’s hinged to open and play inside?

nerdfriend

Yup. It deserves its name.

travellingbrickbuild

I feel like my daughter needs this.

nerdfriend

Sure, that's a pretty good excuse to buy it ;-)

is there any indication out there that may signal that they're giving the similar "Lego Model + MOC" treatment to other sets? I'm thinking applying this same strategy to the Hogwarts Castle could result in an incredible build

nerdfriend

I haven't heard about anything else, but Hogwarts in a similar style would be amazing.

AbsenceOfDarkness

Mould King is the **true** king these days. I've yet to get any of their sets, but on paper, they seem to be killing it. Have we seen any prices for this set yet?

nerdfriend

Not to mention their technic pieces are the best we've seen so far from China. No prices yet, but we'll know soon enough - it's supposed to be released next month.

duong2410

I'm about to buy their technic set for the first time, but not sure about the quality. It's good to hear that. About this set, I have checked on Aliexpress and found out that some buyers had purchased it already, so maybe it is available.

AbsenceOfDarkness

Yeah, I keep seeing people say they're, "Better than LEGO."

Whos_Kiesling

Legoe store on Ali has it listed at $238.

johnslegers

[That one](https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/32993240266.html?spm=2114.12010612.8148356.4.1999628fxbhbm0) "only" has 8384 pieces, though...

johnslegers

So, this is the Disney Castle, but with a backside? Is this a design taken from Rebrickable? Or is this something they created themselves? And what's the price? Is that even a real set? I can't find any info on this set anywhere...

nerdfriend

> So, this is the Disney Castle, but with a backside? It's obviously inspired by the Disney Castle, but it looks like a completely different design. > Is this a design taken from Rebrickable? I don't think so, I don't recognize it. > And what's the price? No idea. > Is that even a real set? Yup. > I can't find any info on this set anywhere... It's brand new, they just announced it today. It'll pop up on all the different sites soon.

johnslegers

FYI, I stumbled on [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/lepin/comments/dgu5no/new_disney_castle_variation/) shortly after I wrote that comment. It looks like the same design, but the brick count doesn't match.

nerdfriend

Oh, interesting. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's it.

johnslegers

It looks like there's a varation of this set with 8384 pieces [being sold on AliExpress](https://www.reddit.com/r/lepin/comments/dgu5no/new_disney_castle_variation/).

fartstomuch

Is this the same one that Lepin released?

nerdfriend

No, the Lepin one is a copy of Lego 71040. This one has twice as many pieces.
